My wife didn't have to work today, so I have scant time to spend on this post. I am simply making record of the fact that I did indeed undertake the (minimum) two-mile round trip hike after dark yesterday to deposit the monthly expenses reconciliation cheque that my younger brother had left for me the day or so prior.
And this morning, I accompanied him when he went to pick up his girlfriend Bev at 10 a.m. to drive her to work. This afforded me the opportunity to visit the government liquor store near her home. In so doing, I bought a box of 24 cans of beer, plus one of the two bottles of Scotch that I shall be giving my brother as a Christmas gift.
I obviously did not have a lot of time to dally in that store, for my brother was parked outside waiting for me; and as a result, I was unable to locate either of two brands that I had wanted to buy him. Nonetheless, this bottle or brand will probably be unfamiliar to him ─ a good surprise.
The final item I wish to make record of is that yesterday's fall of snow has practically melted away.
Incidentally, I have yet to set our outdoor Christmas lights aglow.
