Is Our Summer Weather Over? │ Photo of a Mystery Woman in Thailand with an Elephant

The hope for me last evening was to get to bed early ─ which I fully intended if my younger brother was not home by 9:00 p.m. from wherever it was that he was drinking.

But within five minutes of the imminent advent of 9:00 p.m., I saw him arriving home. My fate for the evening was sealed.

I was to sit up operating our T9 Android 8.1 TV Box to access episodes of three of the T.V. series we currently follow, and that was to keep me up until into the midnight hour.

One of those episodes was almost an hour long, while another was around 1½ hours in duration.

But before we began watching those shows, he wanted to watch the final quarter of a BC Lions / Ottawa Redblacks match.

I limited myself that evening to just one can of the strong (8% alcohol) beer that I keep in supply, for I am finding that two cans consumed over the latter evening seem to incur a hangover overnight.

My wife paid an unexpected visit that evening ─ I was not expecting her home until at least the latter Sunday afternoon, for she usually spends her weekends in Vancouver after she finishes her Friday workday at her friend's Thai restaurant.

She most likely came home to do some cooking for us ("us" includes my brother and I, but more likely her two adult sons).

She was home for maybe 1½ hours to two hours, I would venture.

Anyway, with such a late evening, I resigned myself to sleeping in until the arrival of day.

And so I did. Once around 4:30 a.m. I rose just to turn on and log into my computer to have it all warmed up for later use (of course, I also used the bathroom), but I commenced my morning just after 7:00 a.m.

I sat here at my computer, determined to complete the day's content assignment for the post I have in progress at one of my six hosted websites.

I broke once to tackle a plank. I wanted to hit the 11-minute mark, but I gave up several seconds after 10 minutes.

My younger brother did not rise until well past 9:00 a.m.; but before I had managed to return to bed for a nap once I had finished working on my website post, he had returned to his bed bed to try and seek his own nap in order to shore him up for his daily afternoon resumption of drinking somewhere away from home.

My own nap was excellent, and I was possibly in bed around two hours during the midday. I rose to find my brother gone. In fact, I was home alone. My youngest stepson had gone to work before my brother rose in the morning, and I suppose my eldest stepson may have nipped off to the gym ─ he was to return before too long after I was up from my nap.

The day has been heavily overcast, and there have been some light rain showers. I suppose we had some rain overnight, too. I am a little unhappy with myself that early this month on the very last of our sunny and hot Summer days, I failed to get outside and sit in the sunshine.

And now my colour is rapidly fading, not to return until sometime late in next year's Spring, for I doubt that we will have any further truly Summer-like days while the current Summer season lasts.

But how could I know that I was wasting that final sunny day of Summer?

It would be nice to be able to retire early this evening, but I fear that my brother will be home before 9:00 p.m. again. He had told me that he is expected to help some couple he knows move tomorrow from a house into an apartment ─ and they said to show up at 9:00 a.m.

He is not thrilled about that.

They claim to not have much to move that is of a heavy nature, but he is highly dubious. After all, how can anyone who lives in a house not have much that is a challenge to relocate?

By the way, while I was at work on that website post this morning, I came across the following photo that I just adore ─ the young woman is incredibly attractive to me:

I have tried to find some information about her, but I have found nothing. All I know is that she is undoubtedly somewhere in Thailand.

The photo came from Pinterest, and so many of the photos there just get recycled without any worthwhile description.

She looks absolutely magnificent to me ─ I wish that I could have learned about her.

Well, it is already well after 5:30 p.m.

I would like to get out to do some local grocery shopping once it becomes dark ─ and if my brother is not yet back home. However, I have just recently had a filling meal, and it has made me feel in need of yet another nap.

I at least wish to lie down and rest myself. I certainly will not be going anywhere feeling as overburdened as I presently do. I do not drive, so I have no choice but to walk.
