A Few Photos Taken Three Years Ago Near the City of Udon Thani, Thailand

I suppose because my younger brother Mark was obligated to take his girlfriend Bev to a medical appointment this morning, when he came home last evening from wherever he had been drinking, he paced himself and retained consciousness throughout the evening.

As a result, I was obliged to sit up into the midnight hour operating our T9 Android 8.1 TV Box to fetch episodes of some of the T.V. series we follow.

I also drank two cans of the strong (8% alcohol) beer that I keep in stock.

And so it was that I would not be rising early into the a.m. for any activity. I now actually forget just when it was that I did rise ─ perhaps no later than 7:30 a.m.

Usually on a weekday, from around 10:00 a.m. I use our Android TV Box to fetch up more episodes of the series we follow; and then around 1:00 p.m. my brother seeks some bed rest ere he takes off for the afternoon to eventually begin drinking somewhere again.

However, since he had to head off around 10:30 a.m. to collect Bev, we watched no T.V. He returned home around noon, but by then he was ready for his bed rest.

I have been home the entire day, and had much of my afternoon (following a needed nap) occupied by the creation of a post in my private blog. I wouldn't mind nipping out yet early this evening to a local market about four blocks (½ mile) distant to buy a litre of liquid whipping cream, so I will not extend this post much farther.

Google Photos today created yet another collage from photos in an album I created that features memories from a trip my wife made back to her Thailand home village three years ago. Her mother still lives in the family home; and of course, there were other family members to see, as well as old friends.

Anyway, here is the collage Google Photos created:

All of the photos in the collage were taken approximately around this date back in 2016 ─ that is my wife in the two photos in the left column, and the photo in the upper right corner. You may notice in that corner photo that my wife is making a wry face ─ reportedly that stocky, short-legged dog was rather malodorous.

I have retrieved the original photos, so here they are beginning with the top row:

And now the bottom row:

Incidentally, the owner of the dog is someone my wife always refers to as being her "sister cousin" ─ perhaps a cousin who is as close to my wife as are my wife's own two sisters? Perhaps.

I don't know if that dog is a victim of disproportionate dwarfism, or if it was deliberately bred to have such short legs, but I confess that it causes me hurt to look at the unfortunate creature. I just hope that it is much loved, and enjoys a happy family environment.

By the way, my wife's home village of Nong Soong is very near the city of Udon Thani ─ maybe no more than a 15-minute drive from the city. However, the setting for these photos might well be somewhere else in the countryside thereabouts.
