πŸ’€☠πŸ’€☠πŸ’€☠ Some Sunning, but a Stumble Nevertheless

Last evening's sober walk was the 5.625-mile round trip hike to Real Canadian Superstore, and it went without incident.

I arrived back home to find my younger brother watching T.V., and he rather smartly turned it over to me when I later joined him so that I could put our Android TV Box into operation.

He even remained conscious for the two episodes of shows that I tuned in.

First was Noughts + Crosses ─ the first season finale "Episode 6". It ran for just over 55 minutes without any commercials, so it was quite a long show, yet very involving. I am very curious now on how season two is going to play out.

I was unsure I would get away with tuning in a second show, but I received no objection when I got The Rig playing ─ quite coincidentally, this, too, was the first season finale "Episode 6". However, as yet a second season has not been released. If that remains the case when we come back to the series in the rotation (of shows we watch in common), I will begin another series. I already have it decided ─ Resident Alien's third season.

My brother retired to his bedroom for the night after The Rig. I had only consumed two cans of Cariboo Malt (8% alcohol), but I am a little fuzzy as to my bedtime after I spent some while here at my bedside computer. Certainly it was well before 3 a.m.

Most peculiarly, I never thereafter checked the time, visited the bathroom, nor even resorted to a drink of water from the mug on my computer desk until maybe 9:20 a.m.

If I am right about this, I was in bed for possibly around 6½ hours, which is practically improbable for me ─ clearly, I was in deep need of sleep.

My brother was already watching T.V., so I wasted little time in joining him, for we had not watched our usual morning shows the previous two mornings.

Using our Android TV Box, I tuned in the first of three YouTube videos that were to be our morning diet of entertainment.

First was a 13-minute (13:20) video uploaded June 4, 2023, to the Bright Insight channel: NATURAL or MANMADE? Impossible Ancient Ruins Uncovered in North America? Sage Wall Montana Megaliths.

Look and think for yourself...Is this bizarre wall found in the middle of nowhere in Montana natural, OR, lost ancient ruins (that are not supposed to exist)? The Sage Wall (also referred to as 'Montana Megaliths') is raising serious questions about what may be possible for lost ancient civilizations of North America.

There is a little more in the YouTube description that includes some links, so please refer t it if this interest you.

Next was a 40-minute (40:26) video uploaded June 1, 2024, to the Viral Bear TV channel: Moments You MUST SEE To Believe! 🀯 Best of The Week #1.

And we finished up with a 58-minute (58:33) video uploaded September 6, 2016, to the Real Stories channel: Kids In Camps (Refugee Documentary) | Real Stories.

Witnessing the experience of children who grow up in the refugee camps. The South Sudanese Civil War has displaced over 1.5 million people. South Sudan, the youngest country in the world, is now facing a famine which, it is predicted, could result in the deaths of over 50,000 children.

This documentary follows the lives of children living in temporary camps in South Sudan and refugee camps just across the border in Northern Uganda, giving a heart-wrenching and personal glimpse into their lives and telling their inspiring, moving stories through their own words.
Wow! I just noticed a video comment made "6 months ago" by one of the young teens profiled in the video:

❝Hello everyone thanks for wishing us well Iam Anna that made the documentary 7 years ago with my elder sister Grace,by the the grace of God she completed her university and Iam now in my second year, taking my degree in law in Kenya, thanks so much πŸ₯ΉπŸ₯Ή

I was going to say that I wish I could find out something about the teens and kids who had been profiled.

Note that my brother's girlfriend Bev had phoned me during the last video to see if I had any good luck attempting to file her fortnightly Employment Insurance report online, for yesterday we were having her attempts fail with the message that she did not have an active claim.

Well, I had indeed tried ─ once last night, and again this morning. It was the same. So I gave her a contact telephone number.

After my brother had some bed rest, he had promised to take her to a medical clinic concerning a re-issue or some such of medication for her exceptionally high blood pressure.

I meantime had my needed early afternoon nap following a meal, and had pretty much just risen from the nap when he returned to leave his van at home and head away on foot to catch a bus and go drinking. And so it was that I learned that she had managed to contact someone ─ probably through that telephone number ─ and learned that her claim had expired. It was only for 22 weeks, despite a former co-worker of hers stating that she ─ the former co-worker ─ believed her own claim was for over 40 weeks.

So now Bev has no income. I would expect that she must be feeling decidedly stressed. She is unhealthy and can barely get around where walking is concerned (she has no car). How can she possibly look for work? I haven't a clue what she can possibly do.

Anyway, we had a rather sunny afternoon, and I felt compelled to do at least a little sunning. However, my brother never headed away for a bus until just about 3 p.m.

I was then home alone, so by 3:07 p.m. I was out back in the weak sunshine, and sunned until 4:04 p.m.

And then in the early evening I let my sordid side be entertained, alas.

At least I also made an attempt to phone my late old friend William's lady-friend Sandy W. just barely past 8 p.m., but her line was busy. It will have to be some other day that we speak ─ I have an early a.m. five-mile+ walk overnight that I intend to rise at 1:30 a.m. to ready for, so an early evening is in store. Bedtime ought to be around 9:30 p.m.

My wife had better come up with the money tomorrow to cover Thursday's mortgage payment, or I will be laying it on her sons and they will be furious at us both ─ me for breaking down and letting her have mortgage money a few days back, and her for seeking it even though she knew it was mortgage money.

I hate my useless life!
