Slitude Can Be Revenge

My wife has had today off work, and this is also a bath day for me, so that chore will not be possible until after she leaves to probably disappear until Friday, for she has tomorrow off work as well. So depending on when she does head away, I may find myself having to postpone my bath until tomorrow.

We shall see. Right now it is 2:49 p.m. as I type these words.

I think it was after 11 p.m. last evening before I was to bed ... I am quite sure it was, in fact. Once overnight I rose to use the toilet, and I saw that my wife's bedroom light was on even though it was at least 3:36 a.m. She had not yet gotten home before I went to bed, so I have no idea when she did get here. Most likely she was watching a movie or something on her smartphone or tablet when I used the toilet.

She was not to emerge from her bedroom until at least 2 p.m. today, although she must surely have done so at some point before that to use the toilet. I just never noticed her.

As usual this morning, my cellphone alarm was set for 6 a.m., but I was awake, although in a state of mental and physical torpor. I did not want to get up, but I did.

As I waited for the water to boil for my mug of instant coffee, I successfully downloaded the movie I had spoken of yesterday ─ a Chinese movie from 2003 that I had found dubbed in English. It a blend of horror and comedy, but none of five or six main characters are known to me. But this morning my younger brother and I only watched around 39 minutes of it before he announced at 11 a.m. that he was returning to his bedroom for further bed rest because he had a 1 p.m. barber appointment.

I will be more specific about the movie once we finish the darned thing.

But I am jumping well ahead of my earliest morning, though there is not much worth reporting. After 10 slow full-range push-ups in the kitchen area on the linoleum floor, I was out to the backyard tool shed for my 15 minutes of usual exercise around 7:50 a.m. It proved very usual: the same two pull-ups in the first set, then just a single repetition in the five sets of pull-ups and chin-ups that followed. And I held the dead hang of the final pull-up for a 40-count.

Then it was on to the squat work for the strengthening of my crippled right knee and quadriceps.

Back in the house I heated up one of three soups my wife had brought home last night. I was going to heat up a different one than I did, but after pouring it into a pot, my appetite left me when I saw that it included a cloven pig foot.

The one I heated up instead was chicken-based and rife with hot red chili peppers, and thus it took me a long time to eat because I needed such long breaks before trying some more. And when I had finally eaten all of it, I felt uneasy until towards mid-afternoon because, I am sure, of the irritating effect of those many chillies. Even my midday nap that had me in bed for over an hour gave little relief.

As for morning T.V. with my younger brother, who emerged from his bedroom before 8:30 a.m., I joined him nigh 9 a.m. but had to wait 10 or 15 minutes before he turned the T.V. over to me so that I could operate our R69 Plus Android 14 TV Box.

Apart from the aforementioned movie, we first watched a 52-minute (52:35) video streamed yesterday to YouTube's AnitaK channel: Somali’s Get a Whole Month? + Buying LA Mayoral Race for $2.

Anita's guest was YouTuber PortuguesePai.

The weather today has had heavy clouds along with blue sky at sunshine, but sometimes the clouds look like they will dominate. I don't know what's in store this evening and overnight ─ some more rain?

Right now it is 3:39 p.m. and I am going to take my blogging break. Obviously I will not have my usual half hour of afternoon light exercising in my wife's bedroom, for it won't be vacant early enough for that ─ and certainly not on a bath day.

So depending if she takes her leave in the latter afternoon, I can still have that bath. But if she does not leave us until the early evening, then I will postpone the bath until tomorrow and instead start watching whatever three T.V. shows are next up on my list ─ I need the bit of accompanying drinking to help ease off the stark bleakness of my day.

I will report back later this evening concerning everything. Right now my wife is out in the backyard gardening.

Without a word to me, even though she might be gone until Friday, my wife just left ─ it may have been around 5:23 p.m. What alerted me was hearing her say some quick words in Thai to her youngest son in his den area, and then I heard the sounds of her going out the front door.

Punishment.

Whatever, I opted to have that bath and get it over with.

Once it was over with, I tuned in the first show on my roster, although I was disappointed to see that it was Smash. Sure, I always find myself enjoying the episodes, and I have grown to like the various characters generally; but it's a mundane entertainment drama involving a world foreign to me.

I had poured myself a dozen or so ounces of Domaine d'Or red wine (12% alcohol) to help appreciate episode 13 ("Tech") of the first season.

I checked the time when it was done, but I totally failed to take note. I am probably wrong, for it may have been earlier, but let's just say 7:22 p.m. Hell, it could have been 7:12 p.m., or anywhere in between.

Anyway, my source was at GOOJARA.to. I will just add that I am relieved that Smash was the opener and did not close my evening.

Along with a can of Cariboo Malt (7.9% alcohol), my second show was Profiler ─ episode 12 ("Learning From the Masters") of the first season. My source was at Goojara-official.co.za.

It was so quaint seeing how naรฏve even the FBI tech people were concerning viruses and hacking, let alone the regular FBI personnel. I got a kick out of that, for I had not yet 'discovered' the internet when the episode was released in February 1997! For me, that may not have happened any earlier than 1998, and the only browser I knew of was Netscape.

Anyway, the episode was over by 8:33 p.m.

I had not intended to sup today due to how much disarray that first meal of the day caused me, but I was very hungry by the time Profiler finished.

I was to see that my younger brother had apparently arrived back during the show and was then passed out downstairs 'watching' T.V. with Bev. Notwithstanding, I quietly hobbled downstairs and rounded up a meal that I then ate upstairs here at my bedside computer.

My last show (and second and final beer) was The Crow: Stairway to Heaven ─ episode six ("Solitude's Revenge") of the only season. My source was uploaded June 1, 2022, to BitChute's WizardChrisGaylord's channel: The CROW (Stairway to Heaven) - Ep. 06 - Solitude's Revenge.

I definitely enjoyed it, and would give it top marks of the three shows I watched this evening ─ I even felt some emotion during it. And in retrospect, I think that I'll give Smash second spot over Profiler.

Damn it ─ I forgot to note the show's conclusion, but something like 10:33 p.m. doesn't seem far-fetched.

I took the time afterwards to brush my teeth, and now it is 11;36 p.m. ─ I gotta get to bed!
