My evening is already underway; and since I wish to get away a while later and hike the four or so blocks to the nearest Shoppers Drug Mart ─ the Cedar Hills location (Google Map) ─ before it closes this evening, I do not have the time to expend on a lengthy post.
There is also, of course, the need to try and have that trip over with before my younger brother is back home from wherever he went to drink this afternoon.
He actually left without any attempt to log some bed rest first. I had made myself available at 10 a.m. to put our Android TV Box to work once he was done reading the Saturday morning edition of the Vancouver Sun, and the two events meshed almost perfectly.
So at his invitation, I first tuned in two of Odessa Orlewicz's latest videos:

Then I began playing related videos from other sources that I had previously downloaded into a USB flash drive. What I certainly did not expect was that my brother would display no indication of seeking his bed rest during the noon hour.
We were to watch videos until 2 p.m., and then he took his leave to get ready and head away to hook up somewhere with one or more of his drinking buddies.
Well, unlike him, I did require a nap, and I did indeed take a short one just after mid-afternoon.
I must here confess that despite having so little blogging time for this post, I allowed myself to get distracted and even got involved in making a Facebook post revolving around this poster I had come across:
No doubt you may have seen this or others similar before ─ I definitely have. But for the sake of my Facebook "Friends" and anyone else who might come across the post, I included that image along with this text:
The details in the attached poster may surprise many of you who still think we have a deadly epidemic on our hands worthy of all of the ridiculous measures that show no sign of ever ending.
I did some research and found that the poster did have a slight exaggeration ─ for one thing, “last year” can only mean 2019, for there are likely no statistics yet for 2020.
And the death toll was “only” 1.4 million, and not 1.5 million, according to the TB Alliance website:

But that’s a true pandemic ─ not the farce that’s being relentlessly imposed upon us.
People have to start checking things out for themselves ─ not just sitting back and believing everything that comes out of the talking heads on their T.V.’s newscasts.

Initially I defended myself in the post with this:
That's hilarious! I link to the TB Alliance website itself for the figures, but apparently the TV Alliance aren't telling us the truth ─ only Facebook's "fact checkers" do?
And then after some more reasoned consideration, I eventually added this in a second response:
Oh, okay. I checked their references. They don’t dispute the figures ─ they just ramble on about how this has little to do with the U.S.
But I wasn’t singling out the U.S., or anywhere else ─ I was specifically talking about world death totals. COVID-19 deaths are supposed to be world totals as well, are they not?
However, those totals include deaths “with” possible minute traces in which PCR tests implied a positive result within the recent past (28 days?), and not just deaths that were “exclusively from” COVID-19 infection.
The TB deaths are exclusively from TB; whereas COVID-19 totals include people who died from a heart attack or cancer or any number of other things, and were tagged as COVID-19 deaths regardless, despite having absolutely no symptoms of the disease ─ simply because the deceased had some vague indication of testing positive with the notoriously faulty PCR test.
I said nothing that was not absolutely true. I even corrected down the death total in the poster in my original post ─ Facebook's "fact checkers" never even managed to do that.
All they did was throw a mass of information that most people are only going to be bewildered by and just accept as being a sound refutation of what my post had said, yet the two references did nothing of the sort. The references just danced around with a dazzling amount of words and really only supported exactly what I was claiming, but few people are going to understand that.
Not enough people think anymore ─ they cannot see through the haze and smoke the deceivers continually throw up.
I don't know what the answer is ─ are the majority hopelessly out of reach, and truly are sheep?
