I have absolutely no time for a post today. What little time I did have was expended on a post at my private blog.
All I will say is that my wife is behind a hell of a lot of stress since late last evening that had huge financial implications that only one or both of her two sons have bailed us out of ─ otherwise, we would have been shy of tomorrow's monthly mortgage payment by $400.
I had to make an emergency early ATM deposit this morning that involved nigh on a two-mile round trip hike. I rose just after 4:00 a.m., and set off at 4:17 a.m. without benefit of some coffee.
One benefit of that outing was that at my return, I discovered a $10 bill almost beside our house as I came through the short alleyway that runs past us.
And as I approached our front door just ahead of 5:00 a.m., I disturbed a skunk that was getting some water from a large decorative bowl just to the side of our front door. I had to let the critter scuttle off before I dared going right up to the door to unlock it so I could get back into the house.
