A few posts ago (February 5) I complained how I have been seeing this warning for a number of months at my AdSense account:
Earnings at risk - You need to fix some ads.txt file issues to avoid severe impact to your revenue.
This blog used to be singled out as being at fault even though I did have the ads.txt file correctly installed. But for several days right around the time of my complaint, the warning was there even though my blog ─ and two hosted WordPress websites that I have that are also registered with AdSense ─ were all being shown as being okay.
In other words, no website of mine was being identified as having any risk problem.
Well, a couple days ago, I noticed that the warning has at last disappeared. Now maybe the curse that has been levied upon my blog is lifted and it might actually occasionally result in a cent or two of AdSense revenue.
My younger brother apparently spent last night at the home of his girlfriend Bev, so I was not threatened with having a late night of it. I wanted to get to bed early so that I would have greater hope of setting out before daybreak today for a good long walk that would probably result in some grocery shopping toward its finish.
I think that it may have been approaching 9:40 p.m. by the time I was into bed, but sleep was difficult to find. And when some arrived, not quite two hours later I was sufficiently awake that I actually decided to rise and put in some work on the post I have on the go at one of my six hosted websites ─ one with no AdSense, incidentally.
Believe it or not, I remained up until probably around 4:30 a.m. by which time I returned to bed out of a desperate hope that I would manage to find sufficient rest to still get out and at least make the two-mile round trip hike to do some grocery shopping.
I managed to eventually sink into a deep state of torpor very nearly approaching sleep; and when I checked the time and saw it to be just after 6:00 a.m., I rousted myself from bed still clinging to the hope that I might get away to that store ─ it has a 7:00 a.m. opening time.
I cannot bear being abroad during the day ─ there are just too many people everywhere, and the relentless traffic is a major stress. I do not drive, so I have to walk everywhere.
With burning eyes from inadequate rest, I saw that some coffee was pretty much indispensable, so I boiled up some water to have a cup of instant.
Soon the time had surpassed 6:30 a.m., and I had not even begun to ready myself. By the time I did have myself all dressed and set to go, it was a little after 7:00 a.m. and very much daylit outside.
I couldn't do it. The world would be too busy by the time I walked to the store, spent time in it shopping, and then had to make the return hike home.
Wholly disheartened, I began to dress down when it occurred to me that I could still go and shop locally a mere four or so blocks from my home at the Deepu's No Frills outlet in the Cedar Hills shopping plaza at 96th Avenue & 128th Street (Google map) here in Surrey ─ it opens at 8:00 a.m.
At least my day would not be a complete write-off.
And so I killed time until eventually it was safe enough for me to do the trip and not have to stand around waiting for the store to open.
The day is going to be a bright one, for the sky is reasonably clear as I type these words at 10:38 a.m.
My brother just recently arrived home, and is downstairs reading the Sunday morning edition of The Province that I subscribe to. Despite having myself a large hot caffeinated beverage after getting home from my shopping, I think that I may be able to actually manage some further needed sleep.
If all goes well, perhaps later in the day ─ most likely after dark ─ I can get away on a walk to the other store. I also have to deposit a small monthly expenses reconciliation cheque that my brother gave me a week ago for $175.62.
oooooooooooooo
I was unpleasantly surprised to learn early today that actor Robert Conrad (James West of The Wild Wild West) died yesterday of heart failure. I did not realize that he was partially paralyzed on his right side from lasting nerve damage that was the result of a serious 2003 'his fault' car accident.
My suspicion is that suffering that damage probably reduced his physical activity, and may well have led to his poor cardiac health.
Had he lived until after the end of this month, he would have had his 85th birthday on March 1st.
He was extremely influential to me back in the 1960s when I was a teen, for The Wild Wild West was one of my favourite T.V. series, and I thought that he was fabulously well-built, athletic, and handsome. He was truly inspirational to my younger self.
I always remembered one scene in the series where James West was shackled and shirtless for torture by villainous Dr. Miguelito Quixote Loveless (deliciously played by actor Michael Dunn), and Dr. Loveless grudgingly remarked upon James West's superb physique. In pure deadpan, James West replied with something like, "I drink lots of milk."
It will soon enough be 5:00 p.m. as I type these words, and we had a fair amount of sunshine today. However, my early morning shopping ─ and then some afternoon exercising out in the backyard toolshed ─ have been the extent to my benefit from the Sun.
The late morning nap I sought helped, but it is quite possible that I was not in bed a full hour before I was awake again and checking the time, soon to rise little more than a quarter of the way through the noon hour.
I am going to seek another nap after publishing this post to best prepare me for any after-dark outing so that I can make that cheque deposit, and potentially also do some further grocery shopping at the store I had originally intended.
I shall close now by just saying that I have been reading up on "blood flow restriction" (BFR) as a means of enhancing exercising. See especially the article published today at Mercola.com titled Blood Flow Restriction Training for Muscle Mass Maintenance.
I am 70 years old, and finding it difficult to accumulate any increase in my musculature. I have a set of so-called occlusion training bands in mind that I am considering taking the plunge and ordering through Amazon Canada, but it is a fairly big decision for me to make due to the oppressive amount of debt I am buried under.
I won't be making the decision to buy today, at any rate. And I definitely will not be laying out the big bucks Dr. Mercola can afford.
