New Year's Day 2022

My younger brother is already here with his girlfriend Bev ─ they showed up around 4:20 p.m. He had gone out in the earlier afternoon while I was napping.

In other words, I have no time for much of a post.

Bev did not come here with him last evening, so it was only my brother and I watching our regular T.V. fare via our Android TV Box until near midnight's arrival when he ventured to the kitchen to pour us a stiff shot apiece to toast in the abandonment of 2021 and the dawning of 2022.

I took one photo of him as he held the bottle of liquor, so that was my final photo of 2021 ─ it was a minute or two ahead of 2022. I have not yet uploaded the image, so I am unable to present it in this post.

At any rate, I believe that we were up until maybe 1 a.m. My eldest stepson had gone away earlier in the evening with at least one friend of his; and my younger stepson was either in bed, or already long gone, for he was not in evidence. I had hoped to have him available to record a brief video of my brother and I as we made our toast.

My wife ─ wherever she was, probably partying, for she did not come home last night following her long day working at her friend's Thai restaurant quite some distance from here ─ dutifully texted me a few times after midnight, extending me the expected and definitely welcome pleasantries that I basically reciprocated.

I did not rise this morning until just after 8 a.m., feeling below par. However, I did later manage some exercising out in the backyard toolshed after my brother left here around 10:45 a.m. to pick up his girlfriend and drive her to work ─ she was to have a short day today (she works part-time), and that was the reason she did not come here with him last evening.

Anyway, they are presently finalizing our ham supper preparations and will be watching T.V., so I must be present to put our Android TV Box into action (my brother does not know how to operate it), and consequently I must stop blogging any further. Apparently I will be starting some drinking a little earlier than usual.

I will additionally say that temperatures may have climbed to the freezing level today, so some element of the four or five inches of snow outside most likely has begun to melt a little.
