After my younger brother showed up last evening, we were to watch an episode each of Black Lightning, then Lewis, and finally the premiere episode of the U.S. comedy Ghosts.
Actually, I doubt my brother even remembered that Black Lightning had played ─ he was unconscious for most of it.
Concerning Ghosts, I had no idea that the lead actress was going to be Rose McIver, the lead actress in the T.V. series iZombie.
My brother and I just recently finished watching the final episode of the third season of the original BBC Ghosts, so I decided that we should finally check out the American version. And thus far, the "ghosts" of the U.S. version are far behind the "ghosts" in the British series for overall engagement with this audience of one. Cute Rose McIver is the only real draw where I am concerned.
However, there is clearly a lot of time for series endearment to develop.
I wrote yesterday how my wife had gone to Richmond to pick up at CBSA (Customs) two of three health-related products that she had ordered in early April from Thailand. CBSA was going to seize the Boom Collagen+ for utterly frivolous reasons.
Well, she was still not home when I retired late last evening ─ actually, it was probably nigh 1:30 a.m.
She evidently got home at some point after I was asleep, for I was never aware (we have separate bedrooms). And this morning, she had to get up around 9:45 a.m. to ready for a full workday at the Thai restaurant where she has part-time employment ─ she also has a fair drive to get to the place.
Let's just say that she was nothing like frisky when she came downstairs and finally left on that drive. No doubt, she got involved in some partying last night.
We had considerable rain overnight; and even this morning when I joined my brother for some T.V., it was steadily raining up until after my wife left for work.
When my brother invited me to put our Android TV Box into action, I led off our viewing with a June 25 upload to Rumble by Greg Hunter's USAWatchdog.org that was a little more than an hour (1:09:22) in duration: Alien Link to Human Destruction – Steve Quayle.
I certainly can appreciate Steve Quayle's belief in the existence of God and Jesus Christ, as well as demons (if I understood him correctly); but he does have some concepts that are too wild for my embrace. Nevertheless, his thoughts were interesting to hear.
Next I tuned in the most recent Rumble upload by the People's Party of Canada ─ that video was over 1¼ hours (1:20:50) long. This is the party (under Maxime Bernier) that I will be voting for in any next federal election.
My brother and I finished our television viewing with a June 2 upload to BitChute by Dr. Joseph Mercola ─ the video was three minutes over an hour in length, and was a topic of considerable interest to me: Dr. Mercola and Gerry Koenig on The Dangers of Excess Iron.
Iron is essential for life as it transports oxygen in your body, helps regulate cell growth, maintains brain function, metabolism and endocrine function and is involved in energy production and immune function.
Having either too much or too little iron can have serious repercussions. While iron deficiency is commonly checked for, iron overload is a far more common problem, yet is often overlooked or ignored.
Excess iron accelerates every major disease we know of, and causes the pathologies associated with liver and cardiovascular disease. Fortunately, treatment is easy and inexpensive: Simply donate your blood.
I am very much interested in trying to make such a donation, but the nearest location I would be able to do so is a walk of just about 3¼ miles just to get there. How able would I be to be making the walk back home afterwards? It seems to me that I might be feeling less than vigorous.
If it is mandatory to wear a 'face diaper', then I will most definitely not ever bother visiting any such clinic.
I abhor being abroad during the day, so the only time of the week that I would make such a hike would be the sole day of the week when the clinic opens as early as 8 a.m. ─ that is, an early Saturday morning.
I have not used public transit in some years ─ I no longer understand the process, even if I felt like being around a busload of other people. As a result, I would be unlikely to even consider busing ─ even one way.
So with the clinic as far off as it is, it is questionable that I will be donating blood any time soon.
Anyway, following the T.V. involvement, my younger brother sought some bed rest. On Thursdays he often rendezvouses with anywhere from one to three of his drinking buddies at a pub more remote than where he usually drinks and drives, so he uses public transit on these days. And today was to be one such Thursday.
I had my day's first meal while he was shut up in his bedroom, and then I sought a needed nap. My brother was gone when I afterwards emerged from my bedroom.
The afternoon seemed ridiculously sunny in view of the earlier weather, so I groggily made my way out to the backyard and ─ attired in just a pair of gym-style shorts ─ I sunbathed from 3 - 4:07 p.m. At no time did any cloud nor even haze obscure the Sun, so my time was pure golden.
My brother will not be making it home before the 9:30 p.m. deadline that I have in place for him as a result of an intended early a.m. walk that I have planned, so I will not be sitting up awaiting him for any evening T.V.
It is already nearly 7:30 p.m., so I might as well bring this post to a close and catch some T.V. and a supper. I want to finish watching a movie that I had to cut out of yesterday due to my brother's arrival home.
