My younger brother did not arrive home last evening until nigh 10:00 p.m., and I was prepared. I had never bothered turning on the T.V., so I was here upstairs and at liberty to resort to the bathroom when I heard him come into the house; and then when he came upstairs to change his clothes in his bedroom, I finished with the bathroom and ducked into my own bedroom.
He was free to finish out his evening drinking alone and watching whatever he could find on our T.V.'s basic cable.
Perhaps he was in a tolerable state; or perhaps not. I had no interest in discovering the case.
When eventually I fell asleep, my initial block of slumber was relatively short. It was likely very shortly after 2:00 a.m. that I rose to turn on and log back into my computer so that it would be loaded and all warmed up for later use.
I returned to bed; and then nearly half an hour later ─ not yet 3:00 a.m. ─ I was here, and soon at work tackling the day's content assignment for the post I am working on at one of my six hosted websites.
I managed to finish the job before my eldest stepson rose around 6:00 a.m. to ready for work, but by then I was treading the road to my self-ruin.
I arrived at my destination after my stepson had left on his drive to work, but my journey was one of disappointment. I returned to bed shortly after 7:00 a.m. feeling quite defeated with just about everything that has to do with my life.
I managed a little further sleep, but was awake enough to be curious about the time before it was yet 9:30 a.m. Nonetheless, I soon enough rose; and at 10:00 a.m. had joined my younger brother in the living room to employ our T9 Android 8.1 TV Box to fetch up some episodes of a few T.V. series we follow.
Then into the noon-hour, he was set to return to his bedroom to rest up ere leaving for the afternoon to eventually end up drinking somewhere.
My youngest stepson has an afternoon shift, so he had not as yet left; but he soon enough did.
Finally home alone, I worked myself into the motivation to have some exercise out in the backyard tool-shed.
The day is ostensibly sunny, but there is so much haze or very high cloud overlaying everything that I had little inclination to bother sitting outside to try and benefit from what sunshine there was.
Instead I had a bath, and then finally got around to trying a nasya treatment with the nasya oil that I devised for myself ─ but first I used a seawater nasal spray to facilitate a good nasal cleansing.
My nasya oil is comprised of a very small quantity of sesame oil into which I added three drops of eucalyptus oil, a couple of drops of tea tree oil, and one drop of lavender oil.
However, I think that I can likely escalate that dosage of the added oils ─ I had no difficulty with them whatsoever, and actually felt the effect to be weak.
I administered some drops of the mix into each nostril while lying upon my bed, and breathing the oil vapours very deeply ─ the point is to try and coat the mucous membranes and sinuses with oil.
I remained lying where I was for at least 15 minutes.
As I said, however, I did not perceive all that much benefit; so I will probably do this again at bedtime, but I will use more oil.
Supposedly five drops into each nostril is a perfectly adequate amount, but I only read of this after my session ─ I am unsure how much I might actually have applied into each nostril, but it must have been close to that.
If I go for it again at bedtime, I will be definite about the amount of oil. And if I find that the entire process seems anticlimactic, then perhaps tomorrow I will add some extra of the essence oils to the sesame oil.
I am not someone who is particularly dainty when it comes to this sort of thing, so maybe I really do require more than most other people. Heck, I have sometimes snorted hydrogen peroxide when I have had colds in the past ─ this nasya is nothing compared to that experience!
I only acquired the sesame oil early last evening ─ I bought it at the Farm and Spice outlet in the Cedar Hills shopping centre at 96th Avenue & 128th Street (Google map) about four blocks from where I live here in Surrey.
I had my eyes peeled for a couple of other products that I was unable to find, but I did learn at the checkout that the store did carry one of those items ─ triphala.
Maybe the store also carried chyawanprash.
Both products have very high reputations, but I have never tried either. And now at the rate that my income tax refund is disappearing, maybe I'm not going to get the opportunity.
My mindset is not very good today, so I am not going to protract this post.
For no particular reason, I am closing this post with the following nine photos that were taken on February 25, 2018 when a niece of my wife got married.
All of the photos in this set include the bride with her groom.
I am supposing that the venue for this specific event was somewhere in the city of Udon Thani.
