Last night's bedtime was into the second half of the midnight hour, and I rose once overnight just to turn on and log into my computer so that it would be all warmed up for later use.
I returned to bed, intending to give it about half of an hour.
But I either fell asleep, or I misread the time earlier. I had thought that 22 or so minutes had passed, so I got myself up and dressed, and then came here to my computer in the belief that I was close enough to that 30-minute warm-up period.
And then I realized that my eldest stepson would be getting up within 10 minutes, and I would not have time to first prepare one of my hot caffeinated beverages ─ but he rises around 6:00 a.m., and when I had risen to turn on my computer, it seemed to me that my half-hour was going to expire before 5:00 a.m.
So I don't know which scenario played out ─ did I misread the time when I had turned on my computer, or did I lapse into unconsciousness for an hour or so?
Well, the significance was that I would not have time to complete the day's content assignment at the post I have in progress at one of my six hosted websites ─ not if I wanted to get in some further sleep before my younger brother was risen.
It has become my duty to operate our T9 Android 8.1 TV Box from 10:00 a.m. into the noon-hour to catch up with some of the T.V. series my brother and I follow.
He doesn't know how to operate the device, so it is for me alone to perform this action.
And so I only managed half of a day's content assignment before returning to bed around 7:30 a.m. or shortly thereafter ─ I don't think it was yet as late as 8:00 a.m.
I napped; and when afterward I cared to check the time, it was around 9:30 a.m.
And that was it ─ I napped no more this brilliantly sunny day.
As usual, we watched a couple of our shows into the noon-hour, and then my brother sought some bedrest ere taking off for the afternoon.
I did a little tidying up here around my computer, and then I changed into a pair of cut-offs ─ I wanted to get at my scheduled session of exercises out in the backyard tool-shed.
First, though, I weighed myself dressed exactly as I would be out in the shed ─ I was around 187 pounds.
My performance out there was unspectacular.
When done, I did not come straight into the house. Instead, I doffed shoes and shirt, and then slouched down in a deck- or lawn-chair to spend just over 40 minutes facing into the Sun ─ the session began at 1:17 p.m.
Upon returning into the house, I found that my brother had gone. If he had sense, he will at least get in a good park walk somewhere before he hooks up with his drinking crowd.
I received an E-mail at 12:45 p.m. from Angela, a former co-worker of mine at three different federal government departments:
Barb and I are meeting for lunch at Whitespot (Google map) at Surrey Central and were wondering if you could join us.Let me know. I would love to see you.Angela
Barb was another co-worker of a different sort ─ she was my close contact for a couple or so years at yet another federal government department.
I kept such a luncheon with these same two gals maybe two years ago, and that was the only time I had seen either of them in over a decade.
It takes a lot for me to get myself to hike anywhere at that time of day, since I do not drive ─ especially in view of how poorly I sleep. And it is not as if I have much control over my life's schedule here in this household.
The chance that I would keep this luncheon is remote enough that I would deem it most unlikely.
I would have to walk at least a mile to get there; and then I would have to prepare myself to sit and spend perhaps as much as a couple of hours in socialization.
And then the walk back home at a time of day when the schools will have all emptied out.
On top of that, a meal at White Spot would entail an expenditure of around $20 ─ I am in no position for such a frivolity. I can barely afford a can of beer an evening here at home ─ eating out is practically unthinkable.
So I will have to compose something excusing me and send it off the the two ladies.

But concerning diet, do you take any nutritional supplements?
I take several, including vitamin C ─ of late, I take 500 mgs. twice a day.
As far as I know, I do not have type 2 diabetes at my age of 69; but folks who do have diabetes ought perhaps to consider supplementing with vitamin C if they do not do so already.
The following four articles are talking about a recently published study that found evidence that such supplementation ─ and at only 250 mgs. twice daily ─ was of benefit in controlling blood sugar:

It was a small study, sure. But I expect that anyone who is diabetic should seek every edge possible.
I wonder if higher levels of vitamin C supplementation would be even more beneficial?
A supplement I do NOT regularly take is vitamin K2, but that is only because it is not sold on its own at the two stores where I purchase my nutritional supplements.
It ─ and vitamin K1, which is less absorbable by us ─ can be found included with one or more other supplements at those stores, but I only want to buy vitamin K2 on its own. I already take other supplements and thus am not interested in these 'package deals' that tend to be a little more expensive.
For months I have wanted to order some via Amazon, but my credit card has a high enough debt balance already that I am struggling to bring down.
Another recently published study has found that there are demonstrable differences in vitamin K1 and vitamin K2, and that we should not be viewing them as being much the same vitamin.
These three articles are talking about the study:

Vitamin K2 prevents calcium from building up in our blood vessels ─ which is unfortunately where the calcium from supplements tends to go.
As far as supplements go, we need vitamin K2, vitamin D3, and even magnesium as a sort of triumvirate to manage calcium ─ we will never have the properly strong and healthy bones that we all want if those supplements are overlooked.
I don't even take supplemental calcium:

With ample amounts of vitamins K and D, along with the mineral magnesium, the calcium we get from our food is optimized ─ instead of failing to be assimilated and then utilized as we want it to be.
But enough nutrition talk ─ I am almost out of blogging time.

I now want to turn back to the wedding of my wife's niece ─ I have been posting some of the photos from that February 25, 2018 day.
I'm fairly sure that the location of the photos was in the city of Udon Thani. However, since the two photos I am going to post do not depict anyone I am familiar with, I will not waste further time offering any more details about the wedding ─ this is not the bride, incidentally:
I have one last item to present before closing out of this post and publishing it.
The telephone message in the video just down below is a video that I uploaded to YouTube today ─ the message was left here a month or so ago, but I never got around until today to doing anything with the video I that I had recorded the day it was left.
The message is a telephone scam ─ some scammer wanted to fool the recipient of the call into believing that an unidentified piece of computer security software that was supposedly installed on a computer in our household had detected a dangerous threat of some sort.
Note that not only does the call not identify who it is meant for ─ i.e., the name of the customer they are trying to reach; it also does not identify just what company is supposedly calling, nor just what the computer security software is that someone here supposedly had them install on a computer last year:
How is it that such calls are still being believed?
