I believe that I may have been into my bed before 10:00 p.m. last evening ─ yet again, my younger brother's beer-enfeebled brain folded up and he passed out.
This is becoming so very tedious. I have not gotten to enjoy an evening of T.V.-viewing ─ along with a beer or two ─ since last Thursday because of his weakened brain.
I will not remain in the presence of a passed-out drunkard. And since I prefer to only drink late in the evening whilst enjoying some T.V., I am being deprived of that wee pleasure.
I never tend to fall asleep very quickly when I get to bed early, but at least I fared better than was the case Sunday evening.
However, it was a typical night ─ I had a short initial block of sleep, and was up well before 2:00 a.m. just to turn on and log into my computer to have it set for later use.
After returning to bed, I may have slipped back into another short bout of sleep, but I was nonetheless back at my computer by 2:30 a.m. at latest...only to discover that my computer had frozen at 2:02 a.m. while loading.
I had to turn it off, and then start it up and log back into it all over again. But I didn't have the half-hour I usually try to give it to load and be all warmed up. So I decided to risk just allowing it 10 minutes.
That seemed to do the trick, and I was soon at work fulfilling the day's content assignment for the post I have underway at one of my six hosted websites.
No one else seemed to be up at the time, but by around 4:30 a.m. at most my youngest stepson surprised me with a "Good morning!" as he passed by on his way to the bathroom.
I keep my computer in a small room next to my bedroom.
I worked on the post until the content assignment had been met, and then shortly after 7:00 a.m. I returned to bed. My eldest stepson had not risen ─ he generally rises around 6:00 a.m. to ready himself for his workday.
I managed some further sleep, but I had become awake enough before quite 9:30 a.m. to be checking the time. And soon, I rose.
Oddly, my eldest stepson was now gone.

By 10:00 a.m. I had joined my younger brother in the living room to spare him the need to watch further banal fare on our T.V.'s basic cable package. I used our T9 Android 8.1 TV Box to fetch up some episodes of shows we follow ─ he hasn't the know-how to use the device.
The morning had been heavily overcast, and the street out in front of our house was wet from previous rain when I had first risen and been at work on that website post.
But by midday, we were experiencing a mix of Sun and cloud, and the Sun gradually predominated over the afternoon.
My brother returned to his bedroom to rest up early in the afternoon, and I soon climbed back into my own bed. But conscience would not allow me to settle ─ I felt that I had to get the day's expected (by me) exercise session over with out in the backyard tool-shed.
I did that, and then prepared my day's first meal to eat here at my computer.
I never did return to my bed.
Last evening before he passed out, my brother had asked me to order him some N-acetylcarnosine (NAC) eye drops from Amazon today if I was able to remember.
Well, I did remember, but I wanted his sober confirmation. So when he emerged from his bedroom following his rest and was readying himself to leave for the afternoon to end up drinking somewhere, I confirmed with him.
He prefers the brand Can-C, but the last time I placed the order we had to use an alternative ─ none was available through Amazon Canada.
It is apparently available again at Amazon Canada, so I placed the order ─ a box of two small vials for $53.72.
He's been using such eye drops for possibly as much as a year to try and reverse the development of a cataract he had been diagnosed with, for he doesn't want surgery.
However, I don't think he uses the drops more than once a day, and he often misses one or more days consecutively. The cataract never resolved, but I suppose he isn't willing to just give up.
If you have a developing cataract and are curious about Can-C, the product as sold at Amazon U.S. is here: CAN-C Eye Drops 2X 5ml Vials - 3 Pack by Can-C
.
Anyway, after my brother left and I had placed the order, I had one further errand ─ I remembered to phone a periodontist on behalf of my wife to cancel a May 10 appointment she has. She is presently over in Thailand visiting her mother, and does not anticipate being back here in Canada by then.
With that done, I then went out into the backyard to sit in the sunshine. It was too chilly to be stripped down, but I was barefooted as I slouched low in a deck- or lawn-chair placed on the lawn.
Beginning at 4:03 p.m., I put in 44 minutes facing into the Sun, although I may have lost a minute or two due to a cloud at one point.
And that about catches me up on my day as I type these words at 6:06 p.m.
We keep reading and hearing how bacteria are becoming consistently and rapidly immune to the antibiotics that modern medicine has in its arsenal, and the day is probably coming when we're just going to be at the mercy of these bugs.
Well, it seems that some fungi ─ yeast ─ are moving in that direction, too. I learned about it through this short article:
HSIonline.com
I am quite aware that this particular website is rather prone to hyperbole, so I sought some substantiation ─ and the scary wording is not at all exaggerated:
NYTimes.com
Forbes.com
CBSNews.com
Candida auris: What to know about the deadly superbug fungus posing a "serious global health threat"
And other major news websites use similar headlines:
- "Fungus Candida auris superbug is a serious global health threat: CDC" ─USAToday.com
- "Drug-Resistant Fungus Poses 'Global Health Threat:' CDC" ─People.com
- "Deadly Fungal 'Superbug' Spreads Worldwide, Alarming Scientists" ─LiveScience.com
More and more, we are going to have to try and ensure that our immune systems are functioning at their highest levels; and we are also going to have to pay attention to solutions in Nature that can still beat these pathogens.
We sure as blazes can't rely upon our own corrupt politicians and the equally corrupt staff in the various government agencies that are supposed to be looking out for us.
And somewhat speaking of that, I have to bring this post to a close ─ I want to try and get out to buy some sesame oil for nasya purposes.
Here, though, are a few more photos that were taken on February 25, 2018 when a niece of my wife got married ─ I feel fairly confident that these photos were taken somewhere in the city of Udon Thani.
This first photo includes the bride's mother, Lumpoon ─ she is one of my wife's two sisters. Specifically, Lumpoon is wearing the yellow dress, and sporting a flower pinned at her shoulder:
And here are the groom and bride:
I have no idea who any of the following children are:
