This will be extremely short.
We had some rain overnight just ahead of daybreak. In fact, I had only just finished coming into the house around 4:30 - 5 a.m. after watering plants in our front yard and was seated here at my computer when I was certain that a time or two I could hear the distinctive spatter of some rain on the carport roof just outside the window in this room where I keep my computer upstairs.
When I later went downstairs to fetch my cellphone that I had mistakenly left there, for I was about to return to bed, I could see out the living room window that the cul-de-sac we live in was drenched from rain.
Okay, next item now.
My wife has been home the day, apart from a grocery shopping expedition that she went on mid-afternoon with her youngest son. That normally would have been my opportunity to tackle an exercise session that I had scheduled to take place out in the backyard tool shed, but I had become unnaturally consumed with something akin to utter physical / mental exhaustion. I did go outside in the hopes that I could ignite some spark of drive, but there was no such spark.
I was left with no choice but to seek a nap without having had a meal as yet this day.
My wife and her 23-year-old son were long back by the time I rose and came downstairs. She was busy cooking, so I was unable to boil water for an instant coffee (our kitchen is quite small).
Anon I decided to see if it was possible for me to salvage this lost day where activity was concerned, so I went back to the tool shed.
It has happened before that when I have felt exercising to be impossible, after forcing myself to essay the challenge, I have done surprisingly well. Such an outcome did not seem likely this time, but I began regardless.
Amazingly, I did extremely well.
And now I was able to have a meal in good conscience.
I could have tried some sunning, for the afternoon had a fair amount of sunshine. However, it had grown too late into the afternoon. The benefit would have been sparse.
And now my final change of topic.
The last thing I wish to make record of is that around 10:10 a.m. this morning when I was watching some T.V. with my younger brother, I used our Android TV Box to tune in Odessa Orlewicz's latest video that she live-streamed yesterday: May 11th- Second Part Of Government Of Canada Website To Rent Not Own; And Jasmeet Singh Stoops To A New Low.
I am a huge fan of Odessa's, but I must declare that this was one of her worst videos. She spent most of it reading an article at a website ─ she does this often enough, but this time she did not have the article displayed so that the viewer could read along if he or she wished to.
The problem with her not doing that was that she is not a gifted reader, and she has the constant habit of breaking mid-sentence to go into a rant for awhile. This broke my ability to follow the thought that was being expressed in the article, and I became so distracted by this continuing process of hers that ultimately I essentially zoned out.
I need to see what it is that she is reading so that I can read along for myself, and not lose the train or substance of what is being expressed in the article.
Exacerbating everything was that what she did have onscreen was a CBC article featuring a photo of federal NDP leader Jagmeet Singh who had reportedly slammed 'anti-maskers' as ... well, read the article for yourself: Jagmeet Singh says there's a link between anti-maskers and far-right extremism.
Odessa had that article on display for most of her video, which was an hour and 20 minutes in duration. I think she thought that she had her other article on the screen, but no one bothered to try to alert her when she was live-streaming yesterday.
So practically everything she was trying to express concerning the hidden article was lost on my brother and I, yet I don't see any of her boosters pointing this out in any of the comments I have read. As usual, one and all offer praise for yet another sterling video.
It is false praise, though.
Anyway, the article she was reading from came from CanadaBeyond150.ca and was titled Capital and Debt. I don't have the time to check it out, and I probably will not ─ I was bored enough with Odessa's poor job of reporting on it.
I know that this was a rare failure on her part, and it does not diminish my admiration for the young woman in the least. I am merely affirming that this particular episode was a huge bust where my brother and I were concerned.
Okay, my evening is underway and I need a beer or two!
