It is something of a mystery to me why I often have so much trouble finding any sleep when I retire to bed in the evening at 9 p.m. or even 10 p.m. I feel ridiculously energized ─ as if I am pumped with caffeine.
It is discouraging.
This problem can lead to extended stays in bed ─ in last night's case, I never checked the time and rose until it was well after 1:30 a.m., when I should really be rising an hour earlier. Rising so late does not allow me the time to accomplish everything overnight that I want to get done ─ even when, as in last night's case, I do not return to bed until around 5:30 a.m. or later.
As I said, it is discouraging.
But at least I felt reasonably slept when I later rose around 9:30 a.m. And no, I did not sleep solidly until that point; I was often awake, and had considered rising an hour or more before that.
Anyway, as usual, I waited until nearly 10 a.m. before going downstairs to boil water for a black, unsweetened instant coffee and then to join my brother to watch some T.V.
When he finally turned the T.V. over to me after about 10 minutes, I tuned in (via our Android TV Box) Odessa Orlewicz's latest video from yesterday: May 9th Liberty Talk Episode- Lockstep Continues, Supply Chain Breakdowns, and Canadian Doctors Tell All.
The first part of the video featured an interview with the older couple who are being persecuted by the Ladysmith authorities over trying to keep their Chakalaka Cafe & Market running in spike of the province's unnecessary COVID-19 lockdown demands.
In fact, the couple were to have appeared in a Victoria court today to start confronting the persecutional charges that have been laid against them.
I am getting so angry and sick of government's ─ at federal and every other level ─ heavy-handedness that I cannot bear watching mainstream news nor even lying public service announcements / commercials urging things like face-masking and 'vaccinations'. I am coming to believe that I am probably going to give up my life in a confrontation with the blindly devoted 'jackboots' who enforce the mandates and rules behind all of this utterly outrageous fiction most people seem to believe.
There is no pandemic! All we have is a casedemic / plandemic / scamdemic ─ take your pick.
I have to get off this topic, or I will rant for too long.
Following Odessa's video of a little more than an hour, I then tuned in a Sam Elliott movie from 2017: The Hero.
I did not familiarize myself with the plot first, so I did not know what it was going to be about, nor did I know who else was featuring in the acting roles.
Katherine Ross ─ whose name I have always associated with the movie The Graduate as Dustin Hoffman's love interest (apart from her movie mother, of course, who seduced him), for I actually saw that movie in a theatre way back when ─ had a fairly small role as the ex-wife of Sam Elliott's character.
I did not realize until just now researching The Hero that Sam Elliott and Katherine Ross have been married since 1984!
But to my considerable delight, Laura Prepon ─ who looked amazingly attractive and gave a fabulous performance ─ had a major role as a younger woman half the age of Sam Elliott's character, and who had a romantic / sexual interest in him.
Sam Elliott's character was supposed to be 71 years old in the movie when he got involved with Laura Prepon's character ─ that made me pay attention because I am 71!
Boy, if only, Laura Prepon!
Someone else I was quite surprised to see in the movie played the estranged daughter of Sam Ellioitt's character ─ the actress was Jessica Jones herself, Krysten Ritter.
The movie was definitely interesting enough, but it was one of those without an actual ending. Did Sam Elliott's character get an extra five years or more of life after deciding to have his pancreatic cancer treated? And did he then maintain a relationship with Laura Prepon's character?
Who knows? Certainly no one who watches the movie will know.
I am still amazed at hot 'hot' Laura Prepon was in the movie.
But I want to move on.
That movie took my brother and I to a little past 1 p.m., and not too very much later he left for the afternoon to resume his daily drinking somewhere.
I finally got around to launching a dispute at AliExpress.com over an order I had made ─ apparently on February 2nd ─ for two articles of clothing from a single seller. The order was mysteriously cancelled on March 9; and on each of March 18 and April 15 I left enquiries with the seller (Gigante Gym Store) that both went unread.
Supposedly I had until May 26 to open a dispute, so I finally did just that. I included a screenshot of the package tracking website showing the date of cancellation; and I also did screenshots of both unread messages that I left the seller.
Well, after making that dispute, I then went out into the backyard to sit in the hazy sunlight for just over 40 minutes. I wore cargo shorts, and was barefooted; and I even tried only wearing a tank top to cover the rest of me. However, after 10 - 15 minutes, I had to put on the shirt I had with me because a persistent breeze was just too chilly.
That session began at 2:54 p.m.
After I came into the house and checked my E-mail, I already had a response from AliExpress:
I will happily give them a positive review of this resolution if and when I actually do get the full refund, and not just a refund for one of the two items I had ordered that were different colours of the same article. You see, I had to make two separate but identical disputes because each article was specifically identified, and I could not make a single dispute for the combined order. And that screenshot is for just one of the articles that I had ordered ─ I received an identical E-mail for the other.
Thus, AliExpress might well get confused when it comes to making the refunds.
So I have yet to see if I will be refunded in full for both of the two articles, or if AliExpress is only going to just refund me for one of the articles.

Apparently it was good that I selected a seller with whom I was to enjoy free shipping by AliExpress ─ if the seller had been responsible for doing the shipping, this is what AliExpress cautions:

Please select if would like to 'Accept' the proposal we provided, or if you prefer to 'Upload Evidence' of the product to support your case. So if you are ever ordering from AliExpress, maybe keep that in mind. Things can get a little complicated if the seller is shipping the product, and you ─ the buyer ─ are paying the shipping charges.
I have made two or three previous orders with AliExpress that arrived without an issue, so I am not going to cease ordering from them if they do indeed refund my full order. I already have something in mind that I would like to eventually order.
I have to stop blogging ─ it is already after 8 p.m.
