While I was up overnight, I finally finished the post I have worked on for over a month at my hosted website MyRetirementDream.com: Thailand AA Convention.
It was a lot of work ─ over 31,000 words, in fact. But I know that it is hardly going to have any interest or visitors. That's how things seem to go for me. All I seem to do is use myself up with no discernible benefit ─ quite the contrary, actually.
I had gotten to bed not too very long after mid-evening, and remained there until a disappointing time check revealed it to be 11:59 p.m. A few minutes thereafter I rose, checking to ensure that my younger brother had retired to his bedroom for the night, which he had.
Of course, my wife was still up, as were at least one of her two sons. But it is my drinking brother whom it is important for me to avoid in the evenings. I will only sit with him in the operation of our Android TV Box when he is sober, so it is only during the mornings from approximately 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. that we watch television together via that device (i.e., the Android TV Box) which only I operate.
I now do not remember precisely when it was that I made my return to bed after finishing and publishing that website post ─ as well as a post in my private blog ─ but I believe that it must have been around 5:30 a.m., for it was already after dawn.
I got a little further sleep, and was up once more before it was quite 9:30 a.m.
When I joined my brother downstairs around 10 a.m., we watched a number of videos that I either tuned in or else played from a USB flash drive, all but one video of which were of the plandemic / scamdemic / casedemic nature. Then we finished off our viewing with an episode of Line of Duty ─ specifically, the second episode of season six.
I must say that I am finding quite fetching the actress (Kelly Macdonald) portraying the suspicious "DCI Joanne Davidson", who seems to be the second-in-command of a police unit. Wikipedia says that the actress is Scottish, so that must be the rather pronounced accent that I find so endearing to my ears (I had thought that her accent was strongly Irish).
The photo of her just above is one from BestOfComicBooks.com where a wide selection of photos of her throughout her adult life back to when she was clearly a very young woman have been gathered together: 49 Hot Pictures Of Kelly Macdonald Which Are Incredibly Sexy.
Anyway, now I'm going to have to try and catch other features in which she has acted.
The episode took my brother and I to c. 1:10 p.m., at which point he sought some rest in his bedroom before soon leaving for the afternoon to probably hook up with his girlfriend Bev and resume his drinking somewhere.
Incidentally, my wife must have had to work a full day today, for she surprised me by bidding my brother and I a goodbye shortly after 10 a.m. as she headed out the front door to a dark car awaiting at streetside.
I had no idea she was to be heading off this morning, for no word of this was ventured to me yesterday.
The day proved to be most gorgeous, so once I was home alone ─ both of my stepsons were away to work ─ I had a little exercise and then got in some backyard sunning ─ over a half hour each for first my back, and then for my front. All I wore were a pair of swimming trunks.
Unfortunately, I never enjoyed myself, beset on two sides by the intrusive activities of neighbours. One set of neighbours has an annoying hound and high-pitched yappy small thing that launch into uncontrolled hysterics at any sound they hear; while one of the other neighbours began using a power washer to scour the sides of his house and then his driveway ─ it was so damned loud that I sometimes had to block off the ear nearest the noise, and at times I could not even tell if there was a song playing on the radio I had for company.
It was utterly infuriating, and I cursed and uttered damning pronouncements aloud quite a number of times in the sure knowledge that it would have been impossible for anyone in the vicinity to have heard me due to the volume of that machine.
It was a ruinous experience, but I needed the sunshine and the grounding or earthing.
That sunning session began at 2:42 p.m., so the day's first meal that I enjoyed afterwards was not indulged in until a little after 4 p.m. And of course, the meal was followed by a restorative good nap.
With that all explained, it is now nearly 7:30 p.m., and I wish to enjoy some T.V. and at least one can of strong (8% alcohol) beer, so I am calling it quits on the blogging for today.
