'Twas 8:58 p.m. last evening once I had left the house and was on my 5.625-mile round trip walk to the slightly nearest Real Canadian Superstore outlet to do a little grocery shopping. Not only had the occasionally torrential earlier rain ceased, but there was even some drying taking place.
Perhaps that ─ and the walking benefit itself ─ were all that I had in my favour; the solitary main item I made the trip for was not stocked in the dairy section.
And not only that, just as I made my exit from the store with my light purchases, I had the misfortune to find a mendicant standing there, seeking my engagement.
Twice he claimed that he did work, but then he would trail off as to why he was beseeching handouts ─ he stated that he was trying to round up $20, for whatever purpose.
Well, I was not about to hand him cash, so I dug out what coin I had ─ I believe that in total I handed over $3.15, and made the obvious statement that the amount would not be bringing him much closer to his goal.
I think that it might have been 11:33 p.m. by the time I was back at the house. My younger brother was of course watching T.V., and quite drunk. Fortunately, he did not sit up much more than a half hour, for he proved to be incessantly commentary with everything that appeared on T.V.
By the way, by the time we both retired for the night, I noticed that it seemed to have begun to rain again.
The morning was dry, and at times there were sunny breaks. My brother left to pick up his girlfriend Bev at 10 a.m. to drive her to work, so I dressed for some exercise out in the backyard tool shed, first weighing in at possibly as 'light' as 193 pounds fully clothed.
No longer am I striving to make any maximums in the six sets of pull-ups / chin-ups and the single set of push-ups that I engage out there. So my repetitions in the former were 3 - 2 - 3 - 2 - 2 - 2; and I settled on a dozen full-range push-ups.
My right main thumb joint is still far too sore from hard keyboard pounding to allow of the supporting of my bodyweight on a pair of rungs ─ I do so for four sets of maybe 10 seconds while holding my straightened legs as near to horizontal as I can. However, it has been several days now since I have been able to do that.

As for Lynda Steele, I do not know if she is still a 'CTV Consumer Reporter', but I used to respect her enormously. Now ... she disgusts me. I wonder how bloody pro-transgenderism she would be if she had a son or daughter wanting to be butchered in order to best resemble the opposite sex?

Anyway, by about midday the rain returned.
My brother sought some bed rest ahead of me, but I was abed seeking a nap when he rose and left for the day to socialize.
I will be sitting up and watching T.V. with him once he is home again this evening.
And as usual, I have gotten carried away with the typing and have found myself pounding the keyboard hard, to the detriment of various joints in my thumbs and fingers. Therefore, I am done blogging for today.
