Timeline

My 1:30 a.m. cellphone alarm got me up overnight to ready for my scheduled five-mile+ walk. Fortunately, the house was in darkness, and thus I was able to ready in peace and privacy. However, my wife had not yet come home following work at the Thai restaurant where she has part-time employment.

This meant that I dared not transfer $200 into our chequing account from my private account to meet the hefty monthly life insurance payment expected to be debited today by the company. With her still away, any such amount would be in jeopardy of being taken by her to fuel her casino addiction ─ the casino is a mere couple or so blocks from the restaurant.

I would have to do the transfer following my walk. By then it would be around 4 a.m., and even if she was not home, surely she would not still be out 'having a good time'.

I did not expect to check online for the claimed temperature hereabouts and see 11.7° Celsius (53.06° F.) cited ─ that is the warmest temperature that I have seen listed for that time of night in just about two weeks.

By the time I was all set to leave, my fully clothed weight was just edging over 190 pounds.

Even so, at the elementary school playground where I was to undertake six sets of pull-ups and chin-ups, I surprised myself be faring comparatively well. I needed to wipe off earlier nighttime rain from the two metal jungle gym monkey bars that I would be using in order to try and exercise bare-handed.

Nevertheless, this 74-year-old managed four and then two pull-ups in the first two sets; three and then two chin-ups in the middle two sets; and finally, the usual pair of pull-ups between two bars in the final two sets, with the very last pull-up held at peak elevation for a 15-count.

And I finished with 10 slow full-range push-ups in a declined position on a cement ramp.

As said, all was dripping from earlier nighttime rain, but the sky was mottled with lots of clear, dark sky, and the nigh half full moon very apparent.

I have nothing to report concerning the walk, and was back home at 3:49 a.m. ─ in other words, about six minutes under two hours.

The house was still in darkness, but my wife's car was parked in the driveway. She had come home at some point and gone to bed.

I confidently made the $200 transfer. The payment was later taken ─ I checked shortly after 10 a.m. My wife only had to work the latter part of the day, so she never emerged from her bedroom until shortly after 2 p.m., by which time I had even been back in bed an hour or so for my short early afternoon nap.

But I am getting a wee bit ahead of myself here ─ I did return to bed around 5:30 a.m. following my walk, rising anew maybe three hours later at most.

As is customary, shortly after 9 a.m. I was to put our Android TV Box to use to watch some videos on YouTube and Rumble with my brother. First, though, I tuned in Odessa Orlewicz's latest from yesterday ─ it was 42 minutes (42:19): Damaging Leaked Audio About Billion Dollar Liberal Green Slush Fund & More Exposed Corruption.

The amount of scandal $$$ publicly coming out about Canada's Trudeau/Lib government over the past week is crazy. The only thing getting green is the inside of the pockets of the "big club that we ain't in." You will want to see the clips about all of this madness that I put together about numerous separate scandals (not that we didn't already know these were skams but now it's all coming out.) I also talk about Mexico and the many awake Canadians/Americans/Europeans that are getting out of their countries and moving there.

Then came some YouTube fare:

Video of the tragic collision that resulted in Adam Johnson’s death has led to speculation over the intent of the player who hit him. According to multiple reports, Matt Petgrave — the player whose skate came up and fatally cut Johnson’s neck — has dealt with a torrent of social media attacks since the incident.

Canadians are GETTING RID of their passports... And for good reason too.

Today we revisit this insane narrative that we are told, that everything happens within the last 300 years. We go further than ever before, exposing so many lies. Showing that it is not mathematically possible for the mainstream narrative to be true!

I saw no lies exposed. But I suppose this 'Mud Flood'-related nonsense might seem plausible to someone essentially 'born yesterday'. Well, in age I am nearly three-quarters of the way through a century, so looking back three centuries is not exactly the same unimaginable leap into the past that these youngsters who promote this lunacy are fancying it to be.

There were other videos, but none worth talking about. They were primarily abandoned due to my wholly flagged interest, or else fast-forwarded through.

We did tune in an episode of the American version of Ghosts ─ the finale episode 18 ("Farnsby & B") of season one.

My brother seemed to dispense with any bed rest thereafter before he readied and left very early in the afternoon to begin socializing and drinking beer for the rest of the day ─ one that became overcast, by the way. When I had finished my nighttime walk, the sky had largely cleared of cloud.

In yesterday's post I wrote of my wife's suspicion that some rear left bumper damage to her car might actually be the result of my brother ─ in drunken oblivion ─ scraping it with his van some recent evening when she was not at work. He always backs into the driveway when he should not be doing so in his state.

So she wanted me to broach this possibility with him in hopes that he might feel responsible enough to offer to cover all or some of the $300 or $500 (she is unsure which it is) deductible portion of a car insurance repair bill.

This morning I did venture to him the possibility of his guilt ─ he had just come home after picking up his girlfriend Bev shortly after 10 a.m. to drive her to work. I caught him outside (just after he exited his van) so we could look at scrape damage his van has along its rear left side.

His opinion of involvement: "I don't think so."

So that was where I left it. At least the germ of potential guilt may have been planted.

After my wife rose this afternoon, she came to me to learn if he and I had the conversation, and what he may have said if we did have it.

As she well realizes, there is no way her case can be proven; it rests entirely within his hands and heart whether he is going to volunteer any responsibility.

To her credit in my eyes, at least twice she said as much to me, and asked me not to bring up the topic with him again. If he is prepared to let the issue die despite any self-doubt he should have, then she will accept the full loss and pay the entire deductible.

I was to watch further T.V. beginning late this afternoon in lieu of some exercising. Since I would be embarking upon a Sabbath fast as of nightfall, I wanted to drink a couple cans of Cariboo malt (8% alcohol) and also have some supper before it got dark.

I decided to watch a Christmas movie, and my choice was 2016's A Nutcracker Christmas.

Although I do say that it was at times quite a tearfully good choice, I cannot see myself rewatching it.

Actress Amy Acker had the lead role, and I certainly do like her, so she was most enjoyable. Katherine Barrell had a major supporting role ─ also a very good actress.

I used the Bee TV app that I have downloaded in our Android TV Box ─ the app provided a faultless source link. However, if you care to watch the movie on a computer and have a decent ad blocker on your choice browser, three sources are Soap2day, or FMovies, or FreeMoviesWatch.

I am feeling rather tired at this point well after mid-evening; although I have no early walks planned due to a later obligation tomorrow, I will not mind getting to bed shortly.

I have an appointment for 10:30 a.m. tomorrow to have two pieces of I.D. renewed, but to get there I have a 2½-mile walk before me. Since I am expected to arrive 10 minutes ahead of the appointment, I ought to be leaving here no later than 9:30 a.m.

And all without even a black coffee ─ I drink nothing but water on these Sabbath fasts.

My wife said that she would be home after work tonight, but I will be to bed before then. Notwithstanding, I rather suspect that I am likely going to be getting up very early in the morning ─ I do not easily sleep for long.

But no caffeine?

I never thought of any of this when I booked the appointment back on October 11.
