Last evening's fireworks in celebration of Diwali hereabouts exceeded what went on at Hallowe'en. I left here somewhere between 8 - 8:30 p.m. on a five-mile+ walk, and despite rain, there was no diminishment in the sounds of displays of those fireworks.
Much of my walk was along avenues and streets within the area of the Green Timbers Urban Forest, so there was nothing of that sort too near me then, but I was impressed by the incessant explosions that sounded like a war zone far off to the south in the direction of Newton ─ it dwarfed what was happening here in north Surrey. There was never a pause ─ it was as if multiple automatic firearms were being discharged everywhere in the distance.
The rain only lasted for maybe the first half of my walk. I only went because I had planned over the day to get out to either visit the nearest government liquor store two miles from here, or else do some grocery shopping. But the liquor store closed yesterday at 7 p.m., and I failed to be ready and on my way by 6 p.m. ─ I figured that going any later would put too much pressure on me.
As for the grocery shopping, a visit of my financial situation led me to abandon that project. The bi-weekly mortgage is due to be debited next Thursday, and if no further income comes my way from one of my two stepsons ─ or if my wife does not repay $500 she inveigled out of me 10 or so days ago ─ then I need all of the cash I have.
The grocery shopping was not at all essential ─ it was merely a justification or motivation for the evening hike.
I think that I may have gotten back home by 10:30 p.m. at latest. My younger brother was here watching T.V. (no one had been home when I left).
I had no more beer on hand, so after I joined him for some T.V., I polished off the two or three ounces I had left of some Bacardi's Spiced Rum. I then had some supper. I have an unopened big bottle of Kraken Black Spiced Rum, but I was too daunted by its 47% alcohol content to care to get into it. It was too late into the evening for that sort of abuse.
But I actually fared well without further drinking ─ I surprised myself.
For entertainment I had used our Android TV Box to locate a source (via the Cinema HD app) for an episode of The Graham Norton Show ─ it was episode two of season or series 31.
Then I used the Nova app to locate an episode of American Ninja Warrior ─ episode six's Qualifying Course seven.
After that we just watched some random YouTube videos, and fortunately by 1 a.m. my brother was set to call it a night. This allowed me to also get to bed reasonably sensibly ─ maybe 1:30 a.m. And since I was by then not affected by drink, I had a decent night in bed.
My morning began just after 8:30 a.m. when I checked the time and rose. My brother was already downstairs watching T.V.
I waited until after 9 a.m. before joining him. I fully intended to go along with him when he left to pick up his girlfriend Bev at 10:10 a.m. or so to drive her to work ─ she lives near the liquor store where I prefer to buy my chosen beer, Cariboo Malt (8% alcohol).
And that did happen ─ I bought four dozen cans, and now I no longer need to feel tempted by that Kraken Rum!
For morning T.V., once again I put our Android TV Box into action, leading off with a short (8:47) video added yesterday to Librti.com: Is The Ben Gurion Canal The REAL Reason For The Current Israel/Gaza Conflict?
Journalist Richard Medhurst explains his reasoning. Once you see his videos about this, it is hard to "unsee" them. "Coincidentally" UN Sustainable Development has also been talking about the need for Gaza area's resources. In this episode I will show his videos and links to the sustainable development article(s.)

Thereafter it was a 1¾-hour (1:48:23) video streamed November 6 to Rumble's The Karis Project channel: Ep. 108 – The Turbo Cancer Epidemic.
The Karis Project meets with Dr. William Makis & Nurse Svetlana Rilkoff to discuss the turbo cancer epidemic arising from the mRNA vaccines.
There were quite a few links below the description that I just did not feel like reproducing here, so refer to the video link to see them.
Note that I believe that Svetlana may also have gone by the name Svetlana Dalla Lana.
The video ended around 11:30 a.m., but it was at that point that my brother was set to have some bed rest, so we watched nothing more. However, in the afternoon I did tune in John Leake's November 9 (?) interview of Dr. Peter McCullough: Fatal Cardiac Arrest in Young People. The video exceeded an hour (1:09:04).
Note that that link also sources to John's excellent article nicely subtitled "A closer look at the armed man (disguised as a U.S. Marshal) who demanded a meeting with RFK, Jr."
With the lure ahead of a couple cans of Cariboo Malt, I started off my early evening with an episode of Chesapeake Shores ─ this time, season five's episode eight ("Where or When?").
During that episode I drank both cans of malt and ate my relatively simple supper.
Then I tuned in via YouTube (again, on T.V. with our Android TV Box) a nigh half hour (29.05) video of a December 14, 2019, women's MMA match: Manon Fiorot vs Amanda Lino | Full Fight Video.
Apparently Amanda Lino at that time held the championship belt in two weight classes, but French gal Manon Fiorot overwhelmed Amanda in all five five-minute rounds to take the flyweight belt from her. However, I cannot find that Amanda Lino has fought since that match, so I do not see how she can be retaining any other weight class championship belt.
I finished my T.V. with an episode of Cybill ─ this time, season three's episode five ("Cybill, Get Your Gun"). And dang me, but during that episode I was to break into my Kraken Rum and pour myself a stiff shot of maybe two ounces.
I was feeling somewhat agitated or antsy. I wanted to just have another evening hike earlier instead of doing any drinking at all, but I knew that I would of course only be sitting up late with my brother after I was back home.
The day was more sunny than not, so it will probably be a dry ─ but chill ─ night.
Apart from sitting up late with my brother, only having evening walks and not the early a.m. walks results in me losing out on the token half dozen pull-ups and chin-ups that I benefit from at the nearby elementary school playground. I cannot expect to find the area free of interlopers during the evening ─ it is only in the wee a.m. that I have that assurance ─ so I forsake checking it out when I have evening walks.
Nonetheless, knowing that I am going to be rising again overnight at 1:30 a.m. to ready for one such walk was and is disheartening ... and thus the urgency to do some drinking.
Maybe later this workweek ─ if I gain some financial support to negate my mortgage payment concerns ─ I can squeeze in another evening walk.
I have been home alone since at least the mid-afternoon. One good thing about that is ─ once I get tipsy ─ I can break forth aloud when I feel like speaking to myself in theatrical fashion.
I must get to bed ─ it is after 9:30 p.m.
