My bedtime last evening was maybe a couple of minutes ahead of 9:00 p.m. As yet, my younger brother was not home. My wife happened to come into the bedroom just as I was settling myself, so she was privy to my early retirement ─ I had not alerted her of my intention earlier.
After some sleep, I checked the time shortly after midnight. I rose to use the bathroom, and saw that my wife was shut up in the small room where I keep this computer, next to my bedroom. My brother was newly into his own bedroom, and moving about within it.
If not for my wife's location, I would have remained up to put work into the post I am building at one of my six hosted websites. So instead, I returned to bed.
Very shortly, my wife joined me; but I opted to wait awhile before rising to replace her here in this room.
Then I must have lapsed into some more sleep, for when next I checked the time, it was something like 1:41 a.m. So here I finally came.
I put in the work I had planned for the post, then very shortly before 5:00 a.m. I was back in bed.
I must have had a sleep deficit, for I never checked the time again until nigh 9:30 a.m. ─ was my brother by then already downstairs and watching T.V.?
When I rose, I did indeed find his bedroom door ajar, but the T.V. was still turned off. Perhaps he was reading.
I remained upstairs until almost 10:00 a.m. at which time my eldest stepson came upstairs to use the bathroom, and asked of me where my brother was ─ was he not downstairs, I returned?
Apparently not. So downstairs I came to prepare my day's first hot caffeinated beverage, and checked to find my brother's van gone.
This quite suited me, for it meant that I was not going to have to sit for the remainder of the morning in front of the T.V. for his sake, operating our T9 Android 8.1 TV Box to find episodes of some of the T.V. series we follow.
And so I got to work on a post for my private blog.
Then right around 10:30 a.m., I heard him come into the house, and the T.V. was soon on.
Resigned, I wrapped up what I had been doing, and then went downstairs to join him for what remained of the morning. I did not intend to sit through the noon hour, though ─ I wanted to get out into the backyard to bask in the sunshine.
Apparently he had gone over to Surrey Place (Central City) to do some shopping and try to avoid the lineups that can result at stores due to the COVID-19 restrictions in place everywhere.
And so we only watched one episode of a series, and then I tuned in a sitcom to bring us well into the noon hour. I then took my leave and changed into a pair of cutoffs.
Thereafter, I went out to the backyard toolshed to do some breathing exercises, and then to perform a few chin-ups and pull-ups.
By the time I had settled myself into a lawn- or deckchair while I was clad only in the cutoffs, and with my bared feet on the ground, it was 12:43 p.m. And that was where I remained for just over 40 minutes, facing into the Sun.
It was not as warm as I found it yesterday afternoon ─ there was a chilly breeze that at times made me quite uncomfortable.
When I came back into the house, my wife was up and busy in the kitchen. She accommodatingly suggested what I should have for my lunch, so I went upstairs and changed clothes, then had my first meal of the day.
My brother was in his bedroom resting, but soon enough he emerged and announced that he was going out again for awhile, and off he drove.
My wife showered and probably washed her hair, for I heard the dryer being used. Then before I knew it, at about 3:30 p.m. she was to leave us for the weekend ─ she spends her weekends somewhere in Vancouver (such is my sorry marriage).
I went outside and saw her off.
Before she left the house, however, she gave me three face masks from a box of such masks that she said had cost her $50.00. She instructed that I was to only use one when I was in a crowded store or similar public place; and that I could further prolong the benefit of a mask by having a tissue covering my nose underneath the mask. I expect that by not breathing directly into the mask, this may increase the mask's life of effectiveness ─ i.e., one could be used several times instead of just once.
I will take one with me when next I go public to shop, but I really cannot imagine putting one on if masks are not mandated.
Nevertheless, bless my concerned wife for this!
By the way, early yesterday afternoon I took the following candid photo of her as she was doing a bit of potted gardening in our backyard:
And today, Google Photos notified me that it had created a four-image collage to commemorate today (April 10) exactly four years ago when I accompanied my wife for a special event:
That event happened to be a Buddapnayanuntarama Buddhist Monastery (BBM)-Sponsored early Songkran celebration at Burnaby's Gizeh Shriners' Hall back on April 10, 2016.
We took 69 photos at that event, but here are the four that Google Photos used:
Actually, there are only three different images in the collage ─ for some bizarre reason, Google Photos used the above photo twice. That is my wife in the centre of the photo, of course.
She is also in this photo, kneeling in the front row with a little girl, and looking rather solemn:
A close-up:
And some young girls performing a dance:
I have three final photos to post ─ of me.
I took these three photos at 1:29 p.m. - 1:30 p.m. after coming in from my sunning today. I wanted a record of my bit of beard, for I will be trimming it right down later today now that sunning weather is finally here.
I had generally kept my neck shaved, but that's where my beard growth is heaviest ─ so much so that if I did not keep it shaven, I would look like I was always wearing a furry boa around my neck because my neck beard would far outstrip what I would be able to grow at and above my jawline.
And that's it for today ─ I have to get at some exercising, and then a bath. My brother arrived back home barely after 6:00 p.m., and has been watching T.V. for some time now.
