My Sunning Renewed

Although yesterday had been mainly overcast, my younger brother and I were still very surprised to discover a drenching rain to be pouring around mid-evening.

Shortly before dark, he had been watering sections of rather bared lawn in both the front and back yards that he had seeded.

I sat up with him until midnight in operation of our T9 Android 8.1 TV Box, fetching some episodes to two of the T.V. series we follow. But it was my fault for not getting to bed earlier than I did.

I started us off with the final season two episode of Runaways; and then I tuned in Animal Kingdom ─ episode five of season two. I had meant to watch something else after that, but I opted to also watch episode six.

And when that proved irresistibly interesting, I simply had to follow it up with episode seven. And I also opened up a can of the strong (8% alcohol) beer that I try to keep myself stocked with.

I see that the series is based upon a 2010 Australian movie ─ I am definitely going to have to tune it in for us this next week. Perhaps on Monday morning.

Despite my late bedtime, I was up before 5:00 a.m. to start the day's work on the post I have in production at one of my six hosted websites. I never returned to bed until maybe 7:40 a.m.

At that point there was a fair amount of blue sky outside, as well as some light cloud.

I don't think that I managed too much more than an hour in bed, and rose again just ahead of my brother's emergence from his bedroom. My eldest stepson seemed to have gotten up around the same time that I did.

By midday it was apparent that we were going to have a resumption of sunny weather. I had some exercising scheduled today for out in the backyard toolshed, so as soon as my brother sought some bed rest very early in the afternoon, I went outside to get at it.

I found myself to be feeling overexercised, but I hate taking a day off. At my age of 70, I seem to quickly lose exercising ability when I lay off. Perhaps tomorrow I will simply be a little easier on myself.

Following the exercise, I deemed myself to be too hungry to delay eating my day's first meal until after I had sunned, so I fixed up a decent feed.

As I was eating it here at my computer, my brother finished with his rest, and was set to drive off for the afternoon. I know that he usually tries to have himself a park walk somewhere, but I have no idea what else it is that he does.

My sunning began at 2:07 p.m., and I put in just over 20 minutes each of sunning both my back and then my front. There was a somewhat chilly breeze kicking up at times, but not enough to make me regret wearing naught but a pair of gym-style shorts.

I had nearly postponed the sunning in favour of a nap, but I decided to seek the nap afterward. However, perhaps spending so much time reclining outside in the sunshine adversely affected me. I felt almost restless initially once into my bed. And though I was to finally drift off into some sleep, I was awake again about an hour after lying down.

I soon enough rose, but I still don't feel particularly well rested. I may even seek another nap early in the evening, unless my brother is not yet home by then. If he delays coming home, then I will most likely hold off on returning to my bed until mid-evening.

I actually feel like I am near to developing a headache. Perhaps the glare of the day is at fault, on top of insufficient sleep.

On that note, I believe that I will here bring this post to a close.
