Nebulizers from AliExpress at Last!

My younger brother arrived home last evening a little ahead of 8:30 p.m., so I was somewhat resigned to try sitting up with him in the operation of our Android TV Box to locate sources for some of the T.V. series we follow ─ provided he was not too damned drunk.

My wife was home, however ─ this can complicate any hopes to seek an early bedtime when I wish to be removed from my brother's company when it proves too unpalatable.

On this occasion, though, he did not come directly into the house. The widow next door had been mowing her front yard, and I quickly realized my suspicion to be true that he was over talking with her.

As it was to happen, he did not finally come into the house until well after 9:00 p.m. My wife at this time happened to be occupying our bedroom, so I felt myself forced to feel out my brother. It is not always immediately apparent what his actual state of inebriation is.

He sat into his usual comfortable chair in the living room at the opposite end of the chesterfield that I was reclining upon, and mentioned that the neighbour gal was going to have a crew come by early this morning to dig out a large stump that is all that remains of two different evergreen trees that had become massed together and formed what was practically a single trunk at their shared base.

One tree was a fir of some type; the other was a cedar.

I realized that despite the physical distance between the two of us, I could smell the stale beer he was exhaling and probably sweating out. I had on the CTV National News station on T.V., for I was highly suspect of my brother's condition. I did not wish to start an episode of one of our shows only to have him pass out at some point into it, thereby forcing me to cancel out of it and then have to rewatch it in the near future.

There already is one such episode of a show that I have twice had him pass out during ─ I have decided that I will now only tune in that series during the daytime when he is sober. But I have no desire yet to start watching the specific episode for a third time ─ it is too soon; my familiarity with it is too strong.

Anyway, my brother started to rise from his chair, at the same time telling me to "find something interesting to watch" ─ i.e., put the Android TV Box into operation (he doesn't know how to do it for himself). And he proceeded into the kitchen, perhaps to rustle up something to eat.

It was just then that my wife left our bedroom to come downstairs and go into her two sons' den area where they pretty much spend all of their home time, so in eagerness I betook myself from the living room and hustled upstairs to quickly get myself to bed. It was  perhaps 9:15 p.m.

My brother was on his own. It is highly likely that by the time he returned into the living room, he would even have forgotten that he had enjoined me to put our Android TV Box into use ─ he would only notice that I was gone.

I did eventually lapse in and out of some sleep at least a couple of times, but by midnight I was reasonably awake. I had been wearing earplugs and a bandana blindfold, but the lamp at my wife's bedside had been on all the while.

I actually thought that she might be in the bedroom with me entertaining herself with a tablet or her cellphone, but when I stirred enough to check, I realized that our clock radio had mysteriously turned on.

And after I dressed and emerged from the bedroom, I saw that my wife was in this room where I keep my computer ─ the room is immediately next to our bedroom. As well, there was a light apparent beneath my brother's closed bedroom door, so I knew that he had rather newly retired to the room for the night.

I came downstairs to kill some time in waiting for my wife to vacate my computer room, which she very soon did in order to ready herself for bed. I was free to get to work on the post I am slowly constructing at one of my six hosted websites.

I probably didn't return to bed until at least 4:00 a.m. Meantime, my poor wife had risen perhaps three times to use the bathroom ─ she sleeps as ill in her fashion as do I. And she had said that she wanted to get up early in the morning.

As I was using the bathroom one final time before coming to bed, she once more rose ─ I sensed that this would likely be the case. It seems that I only have to think about using the bathroom when one of my stepsons will suddenly usurp it; or in the case of my wife at night, she will rise from bed to use it even though I have not been into it for several hours until that very coincidence.

It is uncannily commonplace.

Whatever the case behind this, she went downstairs ─ after making a wordless noise at finding me using the facilities. Perhaps she then used the toilet in her sons' den area.

I was into bed by the time she came back to bed.

Perhaps it was 8:00 a.m. when her cellphone's alarm sounded. However, my wife turned it off and awaited its next alarm ─ however much later that was.

When she rose, I secretly marvelled how she was able to handle doing so with such scant apparent sleep.

I waited until nearly 9:00 a.m. before getting up, and then came here to my computer. My wife was meantime downstairs in the kitchen busy cooking and whatever else, while my brother watched T.V.

Then I heard her leaving, saying to him, "I'll be back."

She did eventually return, but not until long after 10:00 a.m. when I joined my brother to put our Android TV Box into use for the next three or so hours.

My wife actually went out on errands two or three different times as the early day wore on.

My brother never sought his bed rest until at least 1:10 p.m., and I was about to seek some of my own when I noticed my wife just returning from one of her outings.

I needed a nap rather badly. As I said, I could only marvel how she can keep going as she does.

She wasn't home for more than 30 or 40 minutes, and then headed out again ─ her briefly offered explanation as she left was unclear to me and made little sense. It sounded like she said that she was going to get her car.

Since before I rose in the morning, a work crew has been busy digging up the neighbour's front yard with a small backhoe or some such. Our bedroom happens to be in the part of the house nearest to that action. Nevertheless, I needed to try and nap, so I donned earplugs again ─ and the blindfold ─ and got back into bed fully clothed.

At some point I am sure that I did hear my wife come into the bedroom for something mid-afternoon or so. However, when I rose, feeling very poorly rested, she was gone. And so was my brother. Only one of my stepsons was home.

The afternoon was a blend of sunshine and light cloud. I was so dreadfully overtired that I was useless to do anything but get myself out into the backyard to sink into a lawn- or deckchair, wondering if I was going to manage to come anywhere near normalization. I felt practically unwell.

My feet were bared, but I was otherwise fully clothed. So I decided to try and remain seated and facing into the sunshine for a minimum of 40 minutes ─ that session began at 3:32 p.m.

I was successful.

Upon returning into the house, I fixed up my day's second hot caffeinated beverage and got to work on a post at my private blog. And thereafter, I began work on this post.

It is now 6:13 p.m., and I have some exercising to tackle. I also want to have a bath. But I will return for a few further words ere publishing this ramble.

oooooooooooooo

It is going to be after 8:30 p.m. before I have this post finished.

I haven't much else to speak of. First, I wanted to mention that I watched the movie Underworld: Blood Wars late late afternoon / early evening that I had tried to watch that morning with my brother. However, he disapproved so strenuously that he finally went out to perform some errands.

That was fine by me. I only watch daytime T.V. for his benefit; his departure freed me up to pursue other interests. However, with my wife home that afternoon, I decided to pass time by watching the rest of the film ─ I had only seen something over a quarter hour of the beginning.

Kate Beckinsale is in fabulous shape! She'll have her 47th birthday later this July, yet since the beginning of the year she has been involved with some rapper I've never heard of who may only be 26.

And apparently prior to him, she has had a couple of other romantic involvements with guys in their 20s.

Well, no wonder! She is physically incredible!

Anyway, she evidently claims that she will not return for any future Underworld movies.

As for the movie, it was true to its format, and definitely exciting. Even my wife sat and watched the last part featuring the final battle between Lycans and Vampires.

My only problem, really, was how easily Selene (Kate Beckinsale) was able to kill the Lycan leader, monster Marius. If it was as easy as it appeared for Selene to just rip out his spine, why didn't she just do that long before in their battles and be done with him?

If you like this sort of movie, then you'll like this one.

I also want to mention that this morning I finally received the two nebulizers that I ordered from AliExpress maybe as long as three months ago. Apparently using a nebulizer to inhale hydrogen peroxide vapours can kill resident viruses in the face, throat, sinuses ─ and maybe the body overall.

However, I have yet to even open up one of the two boxes, let alone try one out. So that is going to await the morrow ─ as will any further discussion about the devices.

Finally, when I had gone into the bathroom to get ready for my bath, my wife phoned from her friend's Thai restaurant where my wife works. She wanted to let me know that a bag of leaf lettuce she had left on the kitchen counter is organic, and is from the garden of what I expect is the Thai Buddapanyanuntarama Buddhist Monastery in Burnaby (Facebook) ─ that must have been where she first rushed off to this morning, and why she had been doing such early cooking. She was attending some special occasion.

Or maybe she just felt that it was time to show some respect.

My wife had another reason for phoning, however ─ she asked if she could withdraw $200 from our chequing account. It only ever contains my pension income anymore ─ she keeps her own money somewhere else.

At least she asked. She too often just takes the money and lets me know afterwards.

Incidentally, I am not expecting her home later this evening nor overnight.

Well, I think I hear my brother home. I must take leave now.
