I have no idea how I am going to salvage this day.
It is my fault, of course. All my fault.
At this moment, it is 9:31 a.m., and I will very soon be going downstairs to put our Android TV Box into operation and watch some T.V. with my younger brother.
He had gone a-drinking last afternoon via bus, so he was not back home until after 9:30 p.m. that evening, I believe. Whatever the case, it was about 20 minutes after I had gone to bed.
After I had some initial sleep, I found myself awake ere it was yet 12:20 a.m., so I decided to rise in order to put some further content into the post I am very slowly constructing at one of my six hosted websites. However, I quickly realized that my brother was still downstairs watching some T.V., so after dressing myself, I just lay back on my bed to wait him out.
He didn't seek his bedroom until after 12:40 a.m.
I was to eventually perform the desired workload; but then instead of seeking further sleep, I pursued iniquity and did not return to bed until after 7:40 a.m., tortured.
And as you can see, I have not been back in bed for even a full two hours. I escaped a sense of shame while surrendered to slumber's embrace, but the disheartening crush of defeat is now my companion.
The day is going to be hot again ─ we broke into the low 30ΒΊs C. (76ΒΊ F. or above) yesterday, and the same is predicted for today. I honestly can't remember when we last had September weather as hot as that hereabouts. I dare suggest that the heat thus far this month must be record-breaking.
I did not sun on the weekend due to overcast mornings, but I put in over 40 minutes yesterday sunning my front after getting a disappointingly late start at it that afternoon.
Things got away from me last afternoon, largely because when I achieved that sunning, I had not as yet had my day's first meal. Consequently, after finally eating, I fast declined from the session outside and then the added burden of the meal. I needed a nap.
It may have been approaching 5:30 p.m. when I rose from the sleep; and by the time I had completed a lengthy post in my private blog, I had not time to post in this one because I wanted to have a bath, and it was by then nigh 8 p.m.
I even had to forsake some scheduled exercise.
And so today lacking even the amount of decent sleep that I had under my belt when I began my morning yesterday, I have concerns that I will fall short on any kind of fulfilling day today. And now I have my three or so hours of daily weekday T.V. with my brother looming before me, so I must here break off and go downstairs.
oooooooooooooo
I had my spirits lifted somewhat with the first T.V. episode that I tuned in ─ it was the second-to-last episode this season of Australian Ninja Warrior.
My brother and I are both pretty darned big fans of Olivia Vivian. She has made it through to the finals to be held in the next episode, and is the only female competitor to have done so. I am hoping with all of my heart that she will be one of the few to actually make it to Mount Midoriyama and get a crack at conquering it.
I found myself faring better than I anticipated where my inadequate sleep was concerned, but I never sought an early enough nap ─ I was still up in the afternoon when my brother finished his own bed rest and left for the afternoon to head off to eventually renew his drinking.
It was after mid-afternoon before I returned to bed, and I had not as yet sunned. As a consequence, by the time I did get out into the backyard for just over 40 minutes of exposure of my front, it was 4:25 p.m. before that session was begun.
Will I have developed any vitamin D generation so late in the afternoon this late in the Summer?
If you scroll down here at website StopCovidCold.com, you will find a Vitamin D Synthesis Chart that is actually a map of the States for the current month indicating the likelihood for various areas of the States to have sufficient of the vitamin D-generating solar rays.
Since I live just over the border with Washington State, I would fall into the same zonal area. On a scale ranging from 0 (unlikely) all the way up to 11 (likely), my geographical area presently rates a 3 ─ so there are not many of those vital rays reaching here.
But it was a very hot day, so I am of a mind that even as late into the afternoon as I had sunned, I will have benefitted.
My wife arrived home this afternoon around 5:40 p.m. and is presently at work in the kitchen at 6:13 p.m., so I want to wrap up this post.
However, before I conclude, I want to mention that two evenings ago my brother and I finally watched the series finale of the T.V. series Underground.
I guess I am relieved that it has finished, for it was becoming far too disjointed and improbable. The tail-end of the episode made no real sense, but at least Wikipedia cleared it up somewhat. However, I still don't know how runaway slave Cato ever managed to become cultured and almost fabulously wealthy, only to accept his diminishment at the hands of slave-catcher Patty Cannon and her gang when it seems to me that he could have escaped her and gone back to his freedom and wealth.
And why on Earth would he want to supplant her and take over leadership of her gang of slave-hunters?
None of this made any sense whatsoever to me.
I see that two of the main actresses from the series have been involved in T.V. superhero series ─ actresses Jurnee Smollett and Jessica De Gouw. I am going to try and keep a watch for both of them, for I enjoyed their performances.
Okay, enough for today.
