More Photos of My Eldest Stepson's 26th Birthday Celebration at The Keg in Surrey (B.C.)

Although my wife was home early last evening, she went out for awhile without a word to me. And so when my younger brother was not home by 8:30 p.m. from wherever he had ended up drinking, I was all set to hustle myself off to bed when I noticed him finally arriving.

Consequently, my bedtime was 8:45 p.m. ─ that was when I saw him backing into the driveway.

Not too very much later, my wife was to come into the bedroom for something, leading me to wonder if perhaps it was her car I saw backing in; or perhaps she just showed up soon after he had.

I was to get some sleep late that evening, but I was awake when my wife came to bed around 12:45 a.m. It was then that I decided to rise so that I could put further work (content) into the exceptionally long post that I have going on at one of my six hosted websites.

I was surprised to open the bedroom door and realize that my brother was still downstairs watching T.V.

I keep my computer in a small room immediately next to my bedroom; and my wife is often in this room in the evening with the door pulled to so as not to be disturbed whenever my brother and I are downstairs watching T.V.

I decided to feign being her so that my brother would not venture to have any communication with me when he anon came upstairs to go to bed. He was to pass by the room with its door just slightly ajar, undoubtedly figuring that it was my wife in here at the machine.

I was not to get to work on the post for quite some while because I first got involved in responding to three E-mails. As a result, it was perhaps at least around 5:30 a.m. before I made my return to bed.

While I was up, my wife had twice come out of the bedroom to use the bathroom.

She was to rise around 8 a.m. ─ most unusual for her. I don't think even my brother was yet up for the morning. And she remained up, involving herself with cooking in the kitchen.

I never rose until toward 9 a.m., but I was not feeling especially well slept. However, at least I am retired ─ my poor wife had to leave in the latter morning on her drive to work the long day at her friend's Thai restaurant.

As is usual on a weekday, I spent the period from 10 a.m. - 1 p.m. operating our Android TV Box and watching shows with my brother. He then sought some bed rest to restore himself for his usual afternoon departure to eventually begin his drinking somewhere again.

I returned to my own bed within a half hour of my brother seeking his. Although the day was again sunny and I wanted to do some more sunning, I had declined too much.

When I had napped, I rose to find my brother gone. I had earlier heard or read on T.V. news that U.S. forest fires are bringing us a smoky environment here in southern B.C.

That certainly proved to be true. The air was hazy, and even the blue sky was faded. As well, the smoke could be smelled quite clearly.

Nevertheless, beginning at 2:58 p.m., I spent just over 45 minutes in the backyard slouched low in a deck- or lawn-chair as I faced into the Sun, and while I was wearing just a pair of gym shorts.

I keep hoping that not only am I maintaining a tan to my front, but that I am also still managing to develop natural vitamin D. I do not wish to start taking vitamin D3 supplements until clouds return and cancel all further chances of sunbathing for the remainder of the year.

On the first day that I cannot sunbathe any longer, I will commence supplementing with 10,000 I.U.s of vitamin D3 per day.

I have a few more photos to post that were taken on September 7 at The Keg on Scott Road in Surrey (Google map) on the occasion of my eldest stepson's 26th birthday. My wife orchestrated this outing that was to include me.

The birthday boy is seated with his mother, whereas I am seated next to the younger lad (who is 22 years old). It was very early in the evening:

It is presently approaching 8:15 p.m., so I must conclude this post in order to be all prepared to get myself to bed if my younger brother has not yet arrived home by 8:30 p.m. (the unspoken deadline that I presently have for him).
