I certainly did not expect that my brother would be home ahead of 8 p.m. last evening, for he had left afoot to bus away to do his drinking. That typically means that he intends to drink sufficiently that he dares not drive himself home afterwards.
But there he was, possibly little more than 7:50 p.m. And I was going to have to sit up late for a second consecutive evening in the operation of our Android TV Box to find episodes of some of the T.V. series we follow in common.
My wife had earlier invited me out to an early supper at The Keg, for she and her youngest son wanted to fête her eldest son on his 26th birthday that day. I didn't realize that she had made reservations for around 5:40 p.m., or I would have hurried more than I did in readying for the outing.
It turned out not to matter, though, for we had a bit of a lineup ahead of us. We visited the outlet located along Scott Road (Google map) in Surrey.
I took a couple of photos of my wife with her birthday boy, but The Keg is extremely gloomy; also, for whatever peculiar reason, both my wife and her son chose to blink just as I was taking the first photo:
It was definitely a pleasant outing, and I am glad that I was included (it cost me nothing).
We were back home before my brother was yet here.
Anyway, for the second night, I was not to be to bed until almost 12:30 a.m., and thus unable to rise until well past 6 a.m. this morning to put work into the post I am very slowly building at one of my six hosted websites.
My brother emerged from his bedroom right around 9 a.m., and my wife rose about half an hour later, if I am remembering correctly.
When I joined my brother at 10 a.m. to put our Android TV Box into operation, I had the 2005 documentary titled Our Brand Is Crisis in mind, for we had watched the 2015 movie of the same name just yesterday.
My brother grumbled, and left the room a few times over the course of the feature, but for the most part he sat through it silently. I think that he initially figured that the movie had already told the story, but of course it did not do so to any realistic degree whatsoever.
I used the Vimeo 'app' that I have downloaded into our Android TV Box to locate the documentary (provided the link remains valid, it is here). However, it can also be found on YouTube if a search is done using the Spanish name ("Nuestra Marca es la Crisis").
As with Vimeo, I expect that the YouTube versions(s) will be subtitled in alternating Spanish and English, depending upon what language the persons speaking are using. Every time someone was speaking in English, Spanish subtitled displayed; yet whenever Spanish was being spoken, then there were English subtitles. I can't recall ever seeing that sort of alternating duality before where subtitling was concerned.
Oh gosh ─ it is already after 7 p.m. I must bring this post to a close.
I want to say that I hope my brother does not show up by 8:30 p.m. and make me feel obligated to sit up late for yet a third consecutive night ─ I want to get to bed early.
My wife never had to go to work today until around mid-afternoon, so I got a late start on my sunning. It was actually 3:56 p.m. before I began just over 40 minutes sunning my front while I lounged low in a deck- or lawn-chair out in the backyard, and attired in gym shorts as I faced directly toward the brilliant Sun.
I feel as if there is something else that I wanted to conclude with, but if so, recollection now escapes me.
