Last evening was the second consecutive evening in which I had to sit up late in operation of our Android TV Box due to an early-evening hockey playoffs game featuring our Vancouver Canucks versus the Vegas Golden Knights.
Normally my younger brother mightn't have gotten home from the bar by his unspoken 8:30 p.m. deadline ─ I won't watch T.V. with him if he is any later than that. But because he typically only watches the first period of these hockey games in the bar or wherever he drinks, he had been arriving home during the break following that period.
Last evening he was here by 7:42 p.m., if I remember correctly.
And so I was to have to sit up to fetch an episode each of three of the T.V. series he and I follow in common though the Android TV Box once the game was done. I do believe that it was 12:38 a.m. before I was into my bed for the night.
Note that the Canucks somehow won 2 - 1 despite being more than doubled by 'shots on goal' ─ we're getting outshot in every game by quite a margin.
Had we lost last evening, the season would have been over for us, for the Golden Knights had three wins against our one. So now we have to try and somehow tie up the series tomorrow evening.
This evening, however, because my brother left home afoot in the afternoon to catch a bus to take him to his drinking, he is practically guaranteed not to be home until the latter half of the evening ─ in other words, I ought to be getting to bed early.
This is my third day without any sunning. The morning was heavily overcast; but just as yesterday, the afternoon cleared up and was bright and sunny.
If I did not have to sit and spent 10 a.m. until at least 1 p.m. sitting with my brother to watch some episodes of T.V. series we follow, I could have sunned. But by the time we are finished, I have too much else hanging over my head that I have to accomplish ─ including getting some bed rest, for I rise well before my brother.
I could dispense with my bed rest, but then I would be unable to sit here blogging because my eyes are so wretchedly poor. Too, afternoon exercising can also be too daunting without proper rest ─ I just don't have the vigour I had half my life ago when I was a young man of 35.
I still have some exercising left to perform today, and it is already into the evening. For that reason, I have to bring this post to a close.
Sure, I could blow off the session. But as a septuagenarian, it is imperative that I ensure that I maintain a daily schedule of exercise ─ when I do not, I decline rapidly in strength and ability.
Nevertheless, before I go, I have some photos to post, leading off with this collage that Google Photos created today from five photos that were reportedly taken on this day back in 2012:
And now here are the five originals.
The occasion involved some Thai Buddhist monks blessing the Thai restaurant of my wife's friend (and sometimes employer). Alas, though, Google Photos chose not to include any photos depicting those gents.
My wife is the lady at the right in this first photo, and she is in the three successive photos, too. The woman with the blonde hair is Toy (I am only going to use the ladies' nicknames to best conceal all identities):
I can only identify two other ladies ─ those with my wife in the second-to-last photo above. The taller lady is Mint, and the one beside her is Fanta.
Okay, that's it for today.
