Really, I am mainly posting to explain that the misconduct I flagged in yesterday's post, but did not speak of, only occurred after I had finished blogging. In fact, I failed to get to bed at 9 p.m. like I expressed was my intention; but at least I did do so well before 9:30 p.m.
However, as was amply discussed yesterday, something was definitely off with me. I was not to check the time again after getting to bed until around five hours later!
Normally I make a check of the time during the midnight hour and rise to get some work done here at my computer. Rising after 2 a.m. reduced my key working hours.
And in fact, I did not return to bed until at least 6:15 a.m. My eldest stepson had gotten up around 4:30 a.m., and that obliged me to remain up until he left for work so that I could ensure that the front door was locked.
It was not locked by him, I was to find. He sees no need to lock the door if he knows I am up; so because of that, if he does catch me up when he rises for work in the early morning, I am obliged to remain up until after he heads away.
Upon returning to bed, I was to remain there for at least another three hours.
I had hopes to get a few things done this afternoon, since both of my stepsons were supposed to be away at work. My younger brother obligingly left for the afternoon at 1 p.m. after we had watched a couple of shows together; but he had no sooner gone when I noticed my youngest stepson crossing the lawn in front of the living room window ─ what was he doing home so darned early?
There was no sense asking ─ the why did not matter. I had been robbed of the essential privacy I had required.
And because I was still feeling especially tired, I decided to have an early breakfast and then seek a nap. Of course, just as I was about to slip into sleep, my damned cellphone rang with an unfamiliar number, so I just cancelled the call whilst profaning aloud.
Then I had to start all over again at trying to relax sufficiently to slip into a nap.
When I later checked the time and saw that it was well past 3 p.m., I hastily rose ─ I wanted to get in some sunning. It was at least 3:30 p.m. by the time I began just over an hour out in the backyard. However, in coming downstairs beforehand, I discovered that even my eldest stepson was then home, busy in the kitchen fixing something to eat.
Hey, it is already after 7 p.m., and I have a can of strong (8% alcohol) beer that must be nearing the freezing point, so I am going to close this post. I got involved responding to an E-mail, and it took me far longer than I had the spare time for ─ I used up blogging time.
That's my final word.
