Closer to Destiny

>

My wife arrived home last evening before I had quite gone to bed, but I was shut up in my bedroom because my younger brother had come home, and I was not interested in sitting up watching T.V. with him because I intended to be rising at 4 a.m.

And thus I went to bed without communication from her following what may have been a rare full Saturday working at the Thai restaurant where she has part-time employment.

I did rise at 4 a.m. ─ actually, I believe that it was something like 3:44 a.m. That was when I had checked the time and made the choice to rise then.

But even with this head start, I never managed to leave home until maybe 6:10 a.m. on the four-mile+ walk that would see me do some grocery shopping at Save-On-Foods when I was a mile from my return home.

Despite the late start I did stop at the elementary school playground three or four blocks from here and had three sets of pull-ups and chin-ups.

I lopped off a mile from my usual walking route due to advanced time. I had intended to follow a network of trails almost paralleling 100th Avenue from where one began at 140th Street & 100th Avenue (Google Map) so that I would end up near 148th Street & 100th Avenue where Douglas Fir Trail intersects Salal Trail (Google Map), at which point I would have turned right onto Salal Trail.

But when my original trail intersected with Huckleberry Trail, I checked the time and saw it to already be 7:29 a.m. The store had opened at 7 a.m., and it was only going to get busier; besides, I did want to get back home before the day became too busy.

So I turned down Huckleberry Trail and followed it to Green Timbers Way from where I worked my way to Fraser Highway and on to Save-On-Foods on George Junction (Google Map).

I did not expect to be spending $75.20 ─ earlier I had made a $200 withdrawal despite already having become concerned about my financial situation, but I do not have the time to get into that.

No one else was yet up once I was home, but soon enough I recognized that my eldest stepson was awake ─ with his girlfriend, who had clearly spent the night with him. His bed is downstairs and directly below my bedroom, so their voices were apparent enough.

At one point he went to the kitchen to boil water.

Not much later, my wife rose and went downstairs, probably engaging the pair. When she came back upstairs to her bedroom, she bade me a good morning.

My brother still had not emerged from his bedroom, so I finally decide to return to bed, closing my bedroom door. But ere managing any sleep, I finally did hear him come forth at 10 a.m., so I rose and soon enough joined him for some T.V. despite wanting more sleep.

At 10:30 a.m. he invited me to put our Android TV Box to work, so I tuned in the last part of the video I wrote of yesterday (The Matrix Revealed: The Illusion of Choice Part 1: The Plan to Take Down The Satanic Cabal Was Written By The Satanic Cabal) that we had left for want of time.

I then tried a fairly recent video at Rumble's A Warrior Calls channel, but the guest's speech impediment along with his Australian accent made it far too difficult to follow, so instead we departed from it and tuned in Christopher James' IT'S MY DUTY TO SAVE THIS WORLD SIMPLY AND POWERFULLY.

Christopher's early monologuing wherein he thanks various of his latest donors, talks of local Ontario events he is involved in, and blathers on about exaggerated alternative therapies, now all get fast forwarded through; but despite reducing the video by anywhere from a quarter to a third, it still brought us almost to noon.

Since my brother displayed no interest in returning to his bedroom for any rest prior to leaving for the day to socialize, I tuned in an episode of the British sitcom W1A ─ episode five of series or season three.

I see that we are almost done the full run of this delightful show, alas.

Incidentally, my wife dressed up and around 10:10 a.m. left without explanation ─ that is often when she will leave if she has a full day of work in store at the restaurant, but I cannot remember when she last worked a full Sunday.

✪✪✪

Jumping now far ahead, it is actually nearing 3 a.m. Monday, April 22.

I did have my walk ─ in the evening just passed, all 5.625 miles of the walk. My brother was here before I left, for it was well past 9 p.m. By then I had drunk two cans of Cariboo Malt while watching an episode of The Flash ─ the premiere episode ("Armageddon, Part 1") of season eight.

It was very enjoyable ─ and not a hint of anything Gay.

So I had my outing, doing a little shopping at Real Canadian Superstore at the apex of my walk, and then coming home to soon watch T.V. with my brother.

We watched two shows, beginning with 1923 ─ episode six ("One Ocean Closer to Destiny") of the first and only (thus far) season. Lord, it's a good series!

I thought my brother might suggest a second episode, but he only requested "something short". However, when I said that I had intended an episode of Doc Martin, he went for it.

And so we watched episode five ("The Departed") of series or season four.

I gotta finish this post!

My wife must have worked the full day, for she showed up during Doc Martin.

All else I will say is that I drank two further Cariboo Malts.

It is now 3:05 a.m., so goodnight to all!
