Endeavour Again

I must be brief ─ it is already past 9 p.m., and I want to get up as early as 1:30 a.m. for a goodly walk.

I had last evening's walk as planned, and never suffered the troublesome left lower leg and foot lameness. I also did not have any rain to concern myself with, but it was raining again when my younger brother and I retired for the night.

Via our Android TV Box, I had tuned in Endeavour ─ the premiere episode ("Prelude") of the series' ninth and final season (or series, as they call it in Britain).

As much as my brother always enjoyed the series when we used to watch it, I noticed him passed out for brief periods last night.

My wife was already home from working at the Thai restaurant where she is employed part-time, and was shut up in her bedroom. She had to work a full day today.

Oh, I must finish this post quickly, so I am going to jump now to morning T.V. with my brother.

Again using our Android TV Box, I led us off with a 51-minute (51:08) video uploaded November 20, 2018, to YouTube's Real Stories channel: China's Stolen Children (Kidnapping Documentary) | Real Stories.

With extraordinary access to devastated parents desperately searching for their stolen son; a man who brokers the deals and has sold his own offspring; and prospective parents grappling with giving up their soon-to-be-born daughter through lack of options, we are brought face to face with the crisis that such a stringent government policy has created among China's poorest people.

Beautiful, haunting, deeply tragic, but impossible to ignore, this film takes us into the heart of modern China. A place where girl babies are being sold for 3,000-4,000 RMB (£200-270); detectives specialise in finding kidnapped children; and child traffickers are so relaxed about the trade they ply, that they allow the film-makers to covertly record them buying and selling tiny human lives. Tens of thousands of children are now kidnapped and traded on the black market whilst the State is more concerned with keeping the story quiet than tracing Chinas stolen children.

Narrated by Sir Ben Kingsley

It was very interesting ... but it was not the video that I had meant to tune in. I thought we were watching one a year or two older.

We also watched an 80-minute (1:20:09) video streamed April 7 on Rumble's Healthy & Awake Podcast channel: Challenging Health Narratives w/ Dr. Suneel Dhand [Ep. 44].

Join us in an enlightening conversation with Dr. Suneel Dhand, where we delve into the critical aspects of public health, the pharmaceutical industry, and the profound influence of dietary choices on our well-being. From challenging the status quo of healthcare and questioning mainstream narratives to exploring historical and current practices in medicine, Dr. Dhand shares his professional journey and insights on how to navigate towards a healthier, more informed lifestyle. This discussion also touches upon the controversial topics surrounding COVID-19, the implications of government and pharmaceutical intersections, and the paramount importance of critical thinking in healthcare. Don't miss this deep dive into the complexities of the medical field and discover actionable advice on taking control of your health in today's world.

The video was okay enough, but I would not have tuned it in if I had realized that it was a month old ─ I thought I was tuning in the most current video on that channel.

I must pay better attention.

No rain today, but I don't know what will befall tonight.

It is now 9:44 p.m., so I may set my alarm for 1:45 a.m., if not even 2 a.m.
