"Canada Is a Christian Nation"

If I went to bed last evening much after 10 p.m., I shall be surprised to learn of it. I expected to sleep unusually well, for I have not experienced such grogginess in a long while.

I set my cellphone alarm for 5 a.m., just in case I slept too well, for I intended to challenge my left foot's plantar fasciitis ─ or else it is an exceedingly bruised heel area extending to the lateral longitudinal arch, which is the ridge or side of the foot that is always on the ground:

The challenge was to be the very early 1½-mile round trip walk to withdraw $200 from an ATM of my financial institution ─ Coast Capital Savings ─ and then do a little grocery shopping at the Save-On-Foods that practically neighbours that institution.

After some good sleep, the point arrived when I felt so well rested that I checked the time, but I also felt the need for a visit to the bathroom. At most it was only 1 a.m.

I returned to bed and successfully strove for further sleep.

When next I was almost wide awake enough to consider rising, the time was revealed to be 2:30 a.m. ─ still far too early to be rising. I would never likely have it in me to go anywhere by the time 6:30 a.m. arrived if I had risen then ─ I had to try for more sleep yet.

Some came, and my next time check was maybe 4:18 a.m. That seemed reasonable enough, so I opted to begin my morning.

My eldest stepson evidently had another 6 a.m. 12-hour shift scheduled for Tree Island Steel, so he rose very soon after 4:30 a.m. to commence readying for his day. By then I was back in my bedroom with a half litre mug of hot instant coffee with the works ─ much of my grogginess had of course been brain fog due to my Sabbath fast's abstinence from even any black coffee, and this state attended me throughout my night in bed.

The first time I ever went abroad was in January 2003 when I flew to Thailand, a cheap flight that involved two layovers ─ jet changes, actually. The first was in California for at least six hours if I am remembering correctly; and the second was in (I believe) Japan where the wait was either 11 or 13 hours.

So overall, my trip was over a full day ─ quite apart from the time expended prior to my original flight when I had to ready and make the rather long commute to the airport and then begin the couple or more hours of waiting there.

In Thailand, I thought that for the first three days that I was experiencing an overwhelming jet lag that I was only dealing with by beginning my day with beer at my breakfast, for only by being buzzed all day long was I able to contend with the constant brain fog and lassitude.

I never realized until my four weeks were done and I was back in Canada that what I was suffering was profound caffeine withdrawal. I had not before abstained from coffee like I did in Thailand because the beverage was not naturally offered with meals. I didn't understand that I could have just asked for some and probably at least some instant would have been provided, but I had no idea that I was in need of caffeine ─ I just attributed my state to jet lag alone.

Sorry for the digression.

Returning to this morning, I didn't leave on my walk until possibly around 6:45 a.m. The store opens at 7 a.m., so that was a sufficiently early departure.

I must say that it was lovely how dark, cool, and moist from recent rain it was on the walk. My foot did slowly become more sensitive as I made my leisurely walk, but it held up well in getting me to the store; and although it steadily deteriorated over the course of the ¾-mile walk home, I didn't quite begin any limping.

So 1½ miles are about all I can safely manage. The four-mile round trip I put onto myself this past Thursday evening was excessive, and put me back such that it was only this morning that I was able to walk anywhere again.

Nevertheless, the strain did tell over the day here at home as a fair amount of sensitivity built up, rending me into a lot of limping and hobbling about ─ aftermath from the outing. I dare not attempt any evening walk. Nor will I be going anywhere in the morning tomorrow because I will be sitting up late this evening with my younger brother once he is back from his daily social drinking. We will be watching at least a couple of the shows that we follow in common through the means provided by our Android TV Box and the streaming apps that I have downloaded into it.

And of course I will be indulging in some brews.

My brother was newly up when I got back from my early shopping, so I never got any further bed rest. But I honestly did not feel the need.

We early began watching some videos via the Android TV Box beginning with a 1½-hour (1:29:45) video streamed December 4 to Rumble's The Michelle Moore Show channel: 'Truth About the Medical Industry, MRNA Shots, Doctors & Nurses Dying and A Healthy Protocol to Save Lives Now' Guest, William Makis, MD: The Michelle Moore Show (Dec 4, 2024).

I wish that I had not gotten so diverted from the following video, doing things like cooking up my day's first meal while the programme played, for it was both most educational as well as interesting. It also was 1½ hours (1:29:08) and had been published December 6 to Rumble's Action4Canada channel: Canada Is A Christian Nation With Tanya Gaw & Hon Brian Peckford, Dec. 4, 2024.

The Hon. Brian Peckford, former Premier and the last surviving architect of the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms, joins Tanya Gaw to absolutely confirm the fact that Canada IS a Christian nation: a country founded on Judeo-Christian biblical principles that are embedded in our Magna Carta and Constitution and form our laws and our values.

My brother returned to his bedroom for further rest ere this show was done ─ it was well before 11 a.m. when he did; so after the video was completed, just for myself I tuned in the latest video at A Warrior Calls, but I knocked off at noon.

When my brother later emerged from his bedroom ─ probably early in the noon hour ─ he left to go to his girlfriend Bev's home to pick up her social assistance application and then he took it to the offices involved to place it into a special "drop box" that they have.

He then returned home, and tuned in an NFL game.

I finally sought my early afternoon nap.

My brother was of course gone to catch a bus and go to begin his daily social drinking by the time I rose from that nap.

This has been a bath day, so I took care of that while the latter afternoon blended into the early evening. It cost me the little bit of exercising I otherwise would have dealt with.

I am going to call this post complete so as to be prepared for my brother's homecoming. I still need to have some supper. At present, it is 8:04 p.m.
