My cellphone alarm roused me at 4:30 a.m. Despite having been abed (apart from a toilet break shortly after 3 a.m.) for at least 5½ hours, I still wanted to remain in bed and sleep more. I attribute that to the ongoing caffeine withdrawal that continued despite the termination of my Sabbath fast at dark the evening prior.
I certainly enjoyed that mug of strong instant coffee with the works that I was to straightaway fix for myself.
My wife ─ who had come home at some point while I was sleeping ─ was still up when I had that toilet break. She was downstairs in the kitchen washing pots and pans, from the sound of it. When I got up at 4:30 a.m., I could see that her bedroom light was still on, despite her bedroom door being closed.
Anon she came forth to use the bathroom one last time and properly go to bed, but we did not associate.
I had resolved that I would undertake the two-mile round trip hike to Walmart Canada at Surrey Place (Central City) to do some grocery shopping. The store opens at 7 a.m., so I wanted to arrive there soon after.
It was to be a test of whatever is wrong with my left foot ─ plantar fasciitis or else deeply / profoundly bruised heel and associated arch area. The considered 5.625-mile round trip hike to Real Canadian Superstore seemed folly, for even without footwear on here at home, the affected area is sensitive when I walk.
I never left home until just about 6:40 a.m., and from outset my foot was sensitive enough that I had a slight limp. But it was tolerable, and I was walking slowly in the damp environment, still wet from fairly recent rain.
I am going to miss the darkness! It was dark beneath overcast sky when I arrived at the store around 7:10 a.m. at most, and it was just about as dark when I was heading home with more weight to tote than I had planned upon.
But the shopping experience was completely positive in the store. There were remarkably few other customers, and the employees were all still fresh and 'un-stressed'. I was to find the self-serve stations were getting a lot of use, but there seemed to only be one cashier in service. However, there were only a very elderly couple ahead of me, so no real lineup.
Yes, it was a very positive shopping experience indeed!
My foot was to grow more sensitive as I walked home with my load, but it was perfectly tolerable. I even wondered if I might get out this evening.
Alas, I will not be. My foot's condition deteriorated over the day and it is burning almost non-stop, and is definitely sensitive in the affected region to the touch. I can only imagine my state had I dared the longer walk.
I arrived back home probably barely after 8 a.m., but already my brother was up and going through the Sunday edition of The Province newspaper that I subscribe to.
After I had put away my shopping and then gone upstairs to my bedroom to dress down and to check a few things online, I heard the T.V. playing, so I knew I would not bother seeking any bed rest. I didn't even particularly feel any need.
I joined my brother downstairs, and then just after 8:30 a.m. he turned the T.V. over to me so that I could put our Android TV Box to work.
First up were three very recent YouTube videos:
- December 20 at Canada Info channel: Is Trudeau government stealing $7,000,000,000 from public pension funds? (15:01)
If we look at the details of the public accounts, we see that the net debt hasn't really fluctuated that much because there's a big difference in terms of the assets coming from pensions. And if you look at the numbers between 2023 and 24, there is a difference of $7 billion.
And in my riding, I received within the span of a week 30 emails from civil servants who live in my writing and who are accusing the government of stealing their pension and when you look at the numbers, you see that the government actually used some of the excess, the surplus there and the government seems to have taken an amount that is far in excess of the amount that they have the right to manipulate.
- December 21 at Unacceptable Fringe channel: You won't BELIEVE who is funding Trudeau and Singh! Canada is COMPROMISED (9:52)
Justin Trudeau and Jagmeet Singh have some questions to answer as to where they get their funding from.
- December 21 at AnitaK channel: Jagmeet declares no confidence, but when??
Jagmeet Singh declaring no confidence in Justin Trudeau. Meaningless words and no back up. When? Call the election now.
After then it was a 58-minute (58:44) video published yesterday to Bitchute's The Green Glow (Health, Truth And News) channel: Mitch Vexler talks about Property Tax Fraud and Legal Implications, Support for Homeowners.

Although most of this was beyond our ken, we understood enough of its implications as Canadian home mortgage holders who pay a monstrous annual property tax that the video was unexpectedly interesting for us.
We were to watch one further YouTube video that I had previously downloaded onto a flash or thumb drive. It was 11 minutes (11:24) and had originally been uploaded December 13, 2020, to The Why Files channel: Why The Dinosaurs Died | The Chicxulub Asteroid Impact.
One of the deepest scars on our planet is hidden beneath the YucatΓ‘n Peninsula and the Gulf of Mexico. The buried crater, over 90 miles in diameter, was created when a massive asteroid struck the planet 66 million years ago and brought a calamitous end to the reign of dinosaurs.
Though dinosaur extinction probably took weeks or months, in just one day, 425 feet of material accumulated where the asteroid hit with the power of 10 billion atomic bombs. The blast ignited trees and plants for thousands of miles -- which were quickly extinguished by mega tsunamis with waves that may have reached as far inland as Illinois.
And at the low-end estimate of 10.1 on the Richter scale, the subsequent earthquake would have been more powerful than anything ever measured or experienced by humans.
And then things got worse.
Let's find out why.
We got most of the way through one further video, but I won't cite it until we have finished watching it ─ probably tomorrow.
My brother was to get some bed rest while I tackled my day's first meal. He came forth to watch a 1 p.m. NFL game, and well before 2 p.m. I sought a needed nap. He had gone for the day to engage his daily social drinking by the time I rose ─ reluctantly, and mainly because I was concerned that my wife was scheduled to start work in the latter afternoon and I felt obliged that I should at least present myself before she left.
However, she was still shut up in her bedroom, and never did emerge until around the time she normally would have begun working if she had been scheduled for the latter afternoon. In other words, she had the day off.
Awhile later her eldest son came home with his girlfriend, and they have been here now nearly a couple of hours as I type these words at 6 p.m.
I did venture downstairs at one point after dark to turn on various Christmas lights, and I briefly engaged with her in the presence of my stepson and my wife, complimenting the young lady on some shortbread cookies she had left for us nigh 10 days ago.
I feel I should have involved myself more, but I am socially awkward ─ I have been a recluse in this house for too many years.
With that confessed, I am going to close today's post and publish it. I will be sitting up late tonight watching shows with my brother once he buses back home; and of course I will be having some beer.
I would love to watch a Christmas movie meantime, but I need to drink as I do. This would prove devastating for my day tomorrow, since it would mean doubling up on my overall beer consumption.
So no Christmas movie.
