Only once did I rise overnight to use the bathroom ─ it may have been around 2:42 a.m. All I clearly remember is realizing that I felt like I could have set my alarm for 3 a.m. for an outing, but I had gone to bed intending to garner as much sleep as possible.
Well, I think that I remained in bed until either 6:20 or 6:40 a.m. What this meant is that I logged over eight hours in the sack, apart from that bathroom break.
I rose and watered the front yard garden plants, and then checked the backyard plants before going into the tool shed determined to take advantage of the loosening of my stiffness that the watering had afforded me.
First I got the 31 full flat-footed squats out of the way (20 assisted, 10 unassisted, and a final unassisted squat held in the crouch for a 100-count), and then I managed five pull-ups in the first of two sets. The second set comprised just two pull-ups.
Next were two sets of chin-ups (three and then two repetitions) and a final pair of sets of pull-ups between two bars (two pull-ups and then one pull-up), with the dead hang of the last one held for an 80-count.
Those sets are always separated by a 30-count.
My younger brother was to rise around 8:10 a.m., I suppose; but I never joined him for some T.V. until after 9 a.m.
When I got his invitation to start operating our Android TV Box, I selected a 1⅓-hour (1:19:05) video published two days ago to Rumble's Action4Canada channel: Part4: CANADA Ablaze - Weaponized Control with Tanya Gaw & Robert Brame, July 2, 2025.
On this Empower Hour, Tanya Gaw welcomes back Robert Brame, a respected forensic arborist with over 20 years of experience in the field and nearly a decade researching and analyzing wildfires. Robert brings deep insight into the real causes of fires devastating communities across Canada—many of which he argues, are not the result of natural events. With evidence pointing to deliberately set fires, questionable government actions, and advanced technologies being used to ignite these disasters—such as Direct Energy Weapons (DEW)—his presentation is one Canadians can’t afford to miss.
Note that the video is only "Part4" because Robert has now been a guest four times ─ his previous appearance was last Summer.
Unexpectedly, even though the video ended around or soon after 10:30 a.m., my brother announced that he was heading off to "pay some bills".
He was to return around 11;30 a.m., but by then I had declined sufficiently that I was no longer interested in sitting up ─ I wanted my nap, so I shut myself into my bedroom before my brother could speak with me.
By the way, my wife apparently had to work today at the Thai restaurant where she is employed part-time, so she had left us shortly before 10 a.m. after rising maybe a half hour earlier to shower and otherwise ready herself.
My nap was quite deep, and I rose and emerged from my bedroom to see that my brother was downstairs watching T.V. with Bev. Soon, they were to leave together to do some shopping.
This has been a scheduled bath day, a chore I hate on days when I plan to sun. Taking the time to do both leaves me so little time for aught else. But I noticed that the overcast morning had not cleared yet into a sunny afternoon, so I opted to bath unusually early.
By the time I was done, my brother and Bev had returned, and he had left again ─ on foot this time, to catch a bus ─ to go social drinking. She was watching T.V., just as she will be doing until she finally retires late this evening.
But it was still overcast! And it never did clear up ─ at least, not until well into the latter afternoon. Sure, it was warm enough that I could have wasted time I do not have to sit outside, but there would be no profit in that.
At present it is 5:42 p.m., and I am going to take a break now to watch a Christmas movie! And have at least one can of Cariboo Malt (7.9% alcohol).

My movie choice was 2018's Christmas with a View.
I know I have watched lead actress Kaitlyn Leeb before ─ most likely in at least one earlier Christmas movie. And I see now that she was apparently a regular in the T.V. series Shadowhunters which I have watched.
But in this Christmas movie, her mother is played by Black actress Vivica A. Fox ─ initially that did not seem biologically possible, for I can see no Black in actress Kaitlyn. However, supposedly Vivica also has Native American Indian ancestry.
And it was not long into this movie that it struck me that Kaitlyn seemed to have rather Asian eyes. Investigation discovered in the French Wikipedia biography for Kaitlyn that she was born Kaitlyn Wong, and is of Chinese and Irish ancestry.
The young woman is exceptionally beautiful, I must say!
Initially into the movie I was put off because the male lead character was supposed to be so exceptionally attractive to the ladies, but I do not find the actor to be fitting for that role. It was not until well into the second half of the movie that I started actually liking the character ─ specifically, he began getting to me when he opened up to the older couple (who owned a small hotel near the mountain resort) that he believed that his deceased parents had honeymooned there, the only holiday the two had ever been able to undertake due to how they struggled.
Incidentally, Kaitlyn's character's best friend was played by Kristen Kurnik ─ her involvement was a very enjoyable addition to the movie.
Yes, I enjoyed the movie ─ I could even watch it again this coming Christmas season in proper company.
If interested, my source was this Tvids.net link, but be prepared to shut down an unwanted new advertisement browser that will pop up as soon as you touch the video player to do anything such as enlarge the viewing screen.
I was able to hold myself to one can of beer, but only because after I finished the beer, I began eating the supper that I already had on hand ─ it was my only meal of the day, and left me feeling too full to straight off begin on a second beer.
By the way, when I was stripped down naked to have my earlier bath, I possibly weighed as much as 178 pounds, but may have more reasonably been around 177 pounds. My analogue scale is so fickle.
Anyway, my movie ended far too early for bedtime, so even though my drunken brother was back home and downstairs with Bev into her white wine, I selected something else to watch ─ Crisis.
Even though I had watched the pilot episode maybe only a week ago, I had to refer to the series description to have my recollection jogged ─ until then, I had no idea what the series was about. And it's darned good!
This time I tuned in episode two ("If You Are Watching This, I Am Dead") of the only season.
It certainly has no deficit on excitement and intrigue.
It was not difficult limiting myself to a second and final can of beer because I am still feeling full, and because after eating I was having stomach distress of a different sort ─ I was feeling somewhat unwell.
And I am tired ─ I am keen on getting to bed. The plan is some early local grocery shopping (the store opens at 8 a.m.). Later tomorrow I suspect that my brother will be heading off to replenish his beer supply, so I must ensure I accompany him ─ I am down to a mere three cans.
As for this episode of Crisis, my source was this GOOJARA.to link. I began watching the series because it features Halston Sage.
At present it is 9:55 p.m., so I am about to begin winding things down for the evening and soon enough getting to bed.
