Fun and Games

My morning was to begin barely past 6 a.m. when I checked the time and made the rallying decision that on this Canada Day morning, I just might manage to get out to do some grocery shopping at No Frills about a half mile away soon after its daily 8 a.m. opening.

First, though, I tended to my duty of watering the front yard and backyard garden plants before I began boiling water for a mug of strong instant coffee with the works.

I know I would not have made the shopping walk this hot day had I not gotten richly coloured from sunning for about 1½ hours on each of the two previous afternoons. But things went well enough, despite my damaged right leg.

I got back home to find that my brother had risen and was watching T.V. Nevertheless, I did not join him until towards 9 a.m.

At his invitation to start operating our Android TV Box, I led us off with a 1½-hour (1:32:42) video streamed yesterday to Rumble's Tucker Carlson channel: RFK Jr. Provides an Update on His Mission to End Skyrocketing Autism and Declassifying Kennedy Files.

Twenty years ago, Bobby Kennedy was exiled from polite society for suggesting a link between autism and vaccines. Now he’s a cabinet secretary, and still saying it.

I love Bobbie!

We only had time for one further video, so I tuned in Soldier Soldier ─ an old British T.V. series. In this case, we watched episode two ("Fun and Games") of the first season. My source was at YouTube's RetroRewind channel: Soldier Soldier | S01E02 | Fun and Games.

At the video's conclusion, my brother returned to his bedroom for further bed rest. I had a meal, and then returned to bed for a nap, rising again well beyond 2 p.m. Soon, I was to hear my brother taking leave of Bev for the day so he could catch a bus to go and begin his usual social drinking.

I was not about to miss out on any sunning, so a 1½-hour (at least 96 minutes, actually) sunning session began at 2:40 p.m. And then I returned into the house to get to work blogging, first taking care of a post at my private blog.

At present it is 7:03 p.m., and this is a bath day, so I must break from this post for a time. However, I am unsure of just what my sequence of events will be.

Also, I want to note that my wife had a full workday today at the Thai restaurant where she is employed part-time, so she emerged from her bedroom around 9:30 a.m. to shower and such, probably leaving within a half hour ─ she seemed cheery enough.

Due to my youngest stepson appropriating the bathroom for a shower before I was able to bath, I settled upon a couple of T.V. shows here on my bedside computer ─ and a can of Cariboo Malt (7.9% alcohol) to go with each show.

I started off with Blood Ties ─ episode four ("Gifted") of the first season. I believe that I vaguely recall something of the episode from its heyday.

My source was this GOOJARA.to link. I'm still liking the series because of Christina Cox and even Gina Holden.

Then it was Norway's Heimebane (Home Ground) ─ episode three ("Debutantar") of its first season. I am very much enjoying this series despite having to keep reading English subtitles. Sometimes I actually forget, particularly when there are extended conversations, and thus I miss out on some context ─ I don't know why that happens.

My source was this 123Movies.link.

As a result of finishing my second can of beer sooner than planned, I watched the last part of the show while having my rather light supper.

And finally I got that tedious bath out of the way.

It was after 10:30 p.m. by the time I was exiting the bathroom, just in time to encounter my newly-arrived-home wife ascending the stairs, proclaiming how weary she was, poor thing.

As I worked on this post update, my heavily besotted brother finally got home ─ from what I understand, before quite getting home earlier, he became entangled with one of our neighbouring households and must have gotten blitzed there, probably on hard liquor. I'm glad I won't have to associate with him ─ good luck, Bev.

I wanted to rise early in the weest a.m. to go to my financial institution's nearest ATM, but that ain't gonna happen. I am only now about to publish this post at 11:19 p.m.
