Although I did engage some mischief last evening in my younger brother's absence, I think that it was 10:25 p.m. when I was into bed and he was still not home from wherever he had bused to do his drinking. I wondered if maybe he was spending the night at the home of his girlfriend Bev.
I got some sleep, but was awake enough to be checking the time at 1:21 a.m. For awhile I pondered getting up to continue the preparation work on the new post I have begun at one of my six hosted websites; I felt too inadequately slept to be rising. But after about 10 minutes, I finally did rise.
My brother's bedroom door was shut tight, so I knew that he had come home at some point.
I certainly never expected that the preparation work would prevent me from returning to bed until after 5:00 a.m., but at least that work is now complete. Tomorrow, I can start adding content into the post.
My wife had arrived home a little after 3:00 a.m. She seemed to have herself a quick snack, and then she freshened up in the bathroom. However, despite passing by this small room where I keep my computer immediately adjacent to our bedroom, she never deigned to utter a word to me.
Such is my sorry marriage.
After she got to bed, around 3:45 a.m. I could hear an owl softly calling from fairly nearby. It almost sounded like a pigeon cooing, but we don't have pigeons hanging around here.
After my return to bed and some eventual further sleep, I surprised myself by remaining abed until maybe 9:30 a.m.
Somewhat startled by this unusual feat, I hastily rose, emerging from my bedroom and expecting to discover my brother downstairs watching T.V.
He was not, though; his late night was evidently exacting. In fact, he never emerged from his bedroom until after 10:30 a.m.
And so it was nigh 11:00 a.m. by the time I joined him to watch some T.V. in the living room via our T9 Android 8.1 TV Box.
My wife was to venture from our bedroom during the noon hour, if not actually just after 1:00 p.m. My brother and I watched T.V. until 1:30 p.m., and then he returned to his bedroom to rest up for whatever purpose he had in driving off toward the mid-afternoon.
My wife got involved in some cooking, so not too long after my brother sought his rest, I returned to my own bed without a word to anyone. I was fully clothed, and probably in bed for maybe 70 minutes. Nevertheless, it served me well. Otherwise, I doubted that I would have found within me the necessary drive to tackle some late afternoon exercising.
My brother was gone when I rose from my bed rest.
Fortunately, I found my wife to be a little more communicative. As well, she must have had to work later in the afternoon at the Thai restaurant that employs her, for she left here in plenty of time to make its 4:30 p.m. re-opening (it closes at 3:00 p.m. each day for a 1½-hour break).
This was a boon to me, for it meant that I would be able to exercise in our bedroom and have the essential privacy I need when I do tackle exercise.
I believe that she left between 15 and 20 minutes after 3:00 p.m. Then my brother returned around 3:50 p.m. And a mere eight minutes later, he already had the T.V. on, and his first can of beer cracked open. Clearly, he was here to remain for the day.
I realized that I was perforce going to have to sit up late this evening operating our Android TV Box (he cannot negotiate the device) to locate episodes of some of the host of T.V. series that we follow, but I damned well was not going to begin that vegetation until around 8:00 p.m.
It was a good time to shut myself up in my bedroom and get my exercising out of the way.
Right now it is a little after 7:00 p.m., and I would like to lie down and rest my eyes for a time before I join my brother. Consequently, I am going to call it a day insofar as this post is concerned, and get it published.
It has been an overcast day with some periods of reasonably light rain.
Before I do close for today, I want to link to a wonderful exchange I had with a young chap named Sybre Waaijer, perhaps the main force behind the WordPress plugin The SEO Framework.
The exchange began yesterday, and is titled Sitemap Generation and “Ugly” URLs.
