πŸ’€☠πŸ’€☠πŸ’€☠ Iniquity Is My Name

There is no justification.

I did not mention this before, but a few days ago my youngest stepson left with two friends to go camping in the cabin that the grandparents of one of the friends owned somewhere near 100 Mile House.

I heard my stepson leaving the morning the trio left, but I then supposed that he was merely catching a ride to take him to work.

Anyway, he texted me last night after I had risen following a wretchedly spent evening in my bed, for I had gone to bed no later than 8:40 p.m. to escape having to spend time with my younger brother who had just arrived home from wherever he had gone to drink.

Even my wife went to bed early soon after she got home awhile later ─ I don't know if it was for the same reason or not, but not often does she retire little later than 9:30 p.m. as was her case last evening.

I was still awake, whether or not she realized it. I was still awake at 10:30 p.m., for I checked the time around then, wondering why it is that my life is so void and pointless. The best thing I could think of was that it was only 1½ hours until midnight, and I had already spent nearly two hours in bed sleeplessly ─ surely the 1½ hours should be tolerable. (Midnight is usually when my brother retires for the night ─ I would be able to rise thereafter and put some work into the post I am developing at one of my six hosted websites.)

At some point I succumbed to sleep, for when next I checked the time it was indeed midnight. But as I lay in bed, I could hear that the T.V. was still in play ─ my brother was still up.

I had to lie there wide awake until I finally heard him seek his bedroom at 12:44 a.m.

I was seated here at work when my youngest stepson texted me at 1:08 a.m.:
Hey, I'm on my way home from 100 mile. Probably going to be home around 6:30 AM.

I don't have my house keys with me.
I'll not bother reproducing the entire exchange. I correctly predicted that I would likely be up until around 4:30 a.m., but I would hide my key outside in the carport for him.

As I texted, my wife had meantime risen to have herself a snack downstairs, and then she returned to bed. I then intruded to let her read his report, at which she decided that she would text him and tell him to phone her once he was back and she would let him in.

I thereafter in yet another text of my own suggested to the lad not to disturb her ─ my key would definitely be outside.

Well, as it happened, my wife also tends to sleep badly, and she may have heard him being dropped off by his companions. Whatever the case, she actually did allow him entry to the house.

I did well with the website post work, incidentally. It should have been something of a boost to me for the day.

I slept in fragmented fashion over the early morning, but resisted starting my day until maybe 9:15 a.m.

I never joined my younger brother for T.V. until nearly 10:00 a.m. ─ during the week, I put our T9 Android 8.1 TV Box into action at that time to find sources to episodes of some of the T.V. series we follow, for my brother has no skill with its employment.

We were to finally watch the last episode of Tiger King ─ the episode was an epilogue of sorts. We found the series to be interesting enough, but I'm glad to be done with it. I definitely do not understand why anyone would binge watch it ─ an episode or two a week was plenty enough for us.

My opinion of "Joe Exotic" was that he was a hapless boob who probably deserved punishment for his animal cruelty, but a 28-year sentence seems extreme in view of the true evils happening everywhere today.

Since everyone involved in the docuseries are of course all alive today ─ except for the young chap who accidentally committed suicide by putting a bullet into his own brain ─ I prefer to refrain from expressing my full opinions about any of the central characters. People can watch the series for themselves and make their own decisions.

Following our three or so hours of T.V.-watching, my brother sought some bed rest ere leaving for the afternoon. My wife had risen around 10:30 a.m. and left to do some shopping, and then she became busy with cooking.

Once my brother was back into his bedroom and she was busy in the kitchen, I took advantage of a warm day with a sky that seemed to becoming increasing hazed over, and I spent just over 40 minutes seated in a lawn- or deckchair in the backyard while slouched low and facing into the Sun. I was attired in just a pair of cutoffs.

It is my understanding that the next two days will likely be involved with some rain, so this was my last shot until sometime after the weekend.

My brother was gone by the time I was back into the house ─ he could not have gotten much rest. As well, an order I had placed on June 16 at Amazon Canada had arrived ─ a bottle of vitamin K2 supplements. The precise product can be viewed at the following location for however long that URL remains valid:

https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B08861J2QN/

I don't know why, but none of the stores where I shop carry vitamin K2 supplements on their own ─ they only carry the vitamin paired with vitamin D3.

Well, I take vitamin D3 supplements daily when I do not sunbathe ─ I try to take 10,000 I.U.s. If I sunbathe, then I know that I don't require any supplementation.

I also try to keep myself supplied with magnesium citrate supplements, and I take two 150-mg tablets a day.

But vitamin K2 ought not to be ignored ─ especially as we grow older and have concerns about circulatory calcification. I am 70 years old, after all.

I know this, but I was recently reminded by a June 15 article at Mercola.com: Magnesium and K2 Optimize Your Vitamin D Supplementation.

I have done a search at Amazon U.S. at the top of this post for any American readers who would perhaps like a starting point on finding vitamin K2 supplements ─ if, of course, that article I linked to generates any motivation to get hold of some of the vitamin for themselves.

It is already after 8:15 p.m. ─ I must finish this post so that I can be set to get to bed early again if my brother is not home by 8:30 p.m. from wherever he is drinking.

I actually resorted to a nap just past 6:00 p.m. that may sabotage my sleep later, but I needed the restoration. After my wife left for work around 3:30 p.m., I engaged folly instead of seeking a nap then.

I pray I have a better day tomorrow ─ heck, I never even exercised today. That "folly" was of more immediate import, alas.

I now can hear some rain falling outside on the carport roof just beyond my open window.
