My Wife the Interior Painter

I don't even have time for a post ─ it is already 7:00 p.m., and I still want to have a bath. I am only posting because I failed to create a post yesterday.

Two night ago, my wife had arrived home sometime after I had gone to bed right around midnight. She had probably gotten into some partying after finishing working Sunday at her friend's Thai restaurant.

Anyway, the first I knew of her being home was when she came to bed ─ once she had turned out the light, I peeked at the time and saw that it was just after 2:00 a.m.

She was home all day yesterday, and spent that night, too. She actually had a very productive day yesterday ─ she painted the cabinets and cupboards in the kitchen, and the same in the bathroom. As well, she painted the bathroom and our bedroom doors; and she also painted the closet doors just inside the house's front door.

She had come home supplied with an enormous can of paint ─ it was probably a yard tall.

I think even my usually critical younger brother was impressed with her work.

I had a late evening of it watching T.V. with him Sunday evening and last evening, for he was early enough home that I felt obligated to remain up and operate our T9 Android 8.1 TV Box to fetch episodes of some of the T.V. series we follow.

I likely could have gotten to bed early Sunday evening, but I involved myself in iniquitous occupation here at my computer for far too long ─ he was home ere I had even supped.

In the latter morning yesterday, I tuned in a movie that he initially grumbled about, but I saw that he became quite invested in it. The movie was 2006's Banshee. I have no doubt that the heroine was the draw where he was concerned.

I am unfamiliar with actress Taryn Manning, but the little cutie was quite fetching as a street-smart tough girl. I was constantly reminded of actress Anna Faris in watching Taryn ─ Anna is a little more than two years Taryn's senior.

In the backup cast, actor Mike Lombardi probably could be given second billing. His name didn't mean anything to me, but I correctly identified that he was the good-looking, dumb and unknowingly bisexual fireman in the T.V. series Rescue Me.

Also in the backup cast with a fairly key role was actress Genelle Williams. She was entirely unfamiliar to me, but I was struck at how convincingly she portrayed her character's innocence.

I'm going to have to try to remember to check out other movies featuring either of these actresses.

I didn't make it to bed last night until around 12:30 a.m., partly due to my wife being here. Her bedtime was later than my own, but I was still awake.

She finally left us toward 4:00 p.m. this afternoon to put in some more time at the restaurant, and I don't expect her back until at least tomorrow evening.

Such is our sorry marriage. I love the girl, but that's how it is with us. God won't do anything to help the situation, and I just don't have the wherewithal to change anything.

I did not know it yesterday, but Google Photos created a collage that day of some photos she took just about exactly two years earlier when she was in Rome to visit a sister of hers who essentially lives there:

Unfortunately, two sets of photos in that collage are duplicates, but the individual images that were used had gotten saved into a Google Photos album with different numbering identification, and so I suppose that Google Photos selected what were basically copies as being different to the originals.

To be clearer, one set of photos in the album exists as both "791" and "img_8444", and the other set as "798" and "img_8451". There were many such duplications, and I cannot reasonably explain how or why they occurred.

Anyway, here are all five of the images in the collage:

Of course, that is my wife taking the selfies.

It is nearly 8:00 p.m. ─ I must stop blogging and seek that bath. By the way, it has probably lightly rained all day long; and we had some rain yesterday, too.

And now my brother is home ─ it appears that I will be sitting up late yet again.
