Another of My Wife's Costly Money-Making Schemes

With both my Wife and my younger brother home last evening ─ my brother had in fact stayed home all the day long because of van troubles ─ I sat up until nigh midnight last night operating our Android TV Box for the benefit of my brother and I.

However, my prediction of how much beer I might drink was an exaggeration ─ I only opened one can of the strong (8% alcohol) beer that I try to keep in stock.

I cannot clearly recall now just when I rose later in the night to do a little research  into the new post that I am planning to start very soon at one of my six hosted websites.

But maybe that claim is untrue ─ studied reflection brings to mind that it was approaching 6 a.m.

Yes, for I directly went outside to water the plants in our front yard garden areas, and it was impressed upon me that due to the advance of dawn, I might experience some passerby on his or her way to catch a bus.

That fortunately did not occur.

I remained up thereafter, since I felt that I had been in bed sufficiently long. If all went well, I could nap later in the early afternoon.

After my brother rose and went downstairs to watch T.V. ─ he probably had the T.V. on by 9:10 a.m. ─ I did not join him until 10 a.m. However, already by then even my wife had risen.

I had in mind a Dr. Joseph Mercola interview that I wanted my brother and I to watch: "UNDERCOVER EPICENTER NURSE"- INTERVIEW WITH ERIN MARIE OLSZEWSKI.

Back in June, we had watched her gripping debut exposΓ© / interview at YouTube ─ that video was a 70-minute feature titled Perspectives on the Pandemic | The (Undercover) Epicenter Nurse.

This latest follow-up was not even a week old.

Yet my brother immediately objected. He expostulated that we had already seen her story ─ nothing new would be presented in this second video.

Of course he was wrong; and he did watch at least 40 minutes of it before getting up and departing the T.V. to go and work on his van. He had hopes of yet removing the faulty alternator of his 2009 Kia Sedona (3.8-litre) and replacing it with one he had bought yesterday.

On the weekend just past, he had arranged with one "Brad" ─ a married drinking buddy of my brother, and someone whom my brother had fairly recently helped move, and once even drove to a hospital for scheduled hernia surgery ─ was to have helped effect that alternator change yesterday.

Apparently "Brad" has some automotive expertise, and has a workweek spanning Tuesday through to Saturday ─ thus, yesterday was the end of his 'weekend'.

Well, "Brad" ghosted my brother yesterday ─ the guy could not be reached by cellphone.

As my brother claimed, all "Brad" had to do was let my brother know that something else had come up ─ not leave him hanging here all day without any idea if "Brad" might show up at any time.

But that's what my brother of course did.

Anyway, he resigned himself today after messing around with his van that he lacked the know-how to be able to extract the alternator despite getting the "serpentine belt" loose or even removed.

And so he ultimately headed away afoot ere mid-afternoon to catch a bus, I expect, and take up once more with his usual daily communal drinking somewhere. And since he is busing, I am expecting to be able to get to bed early this evening, for I will be most surprised if he is back home by the 8:30 p.m. unspoken deadline that I have for him ─ I will not sit up and watch T.V. with him if he is home after that point in the evening.

The day was another sunny one, so I have continued to maintain my suntan ─ just over 40 minutes for both my front and then my back while attired in just a pair of gym shorts.

My wife was to have to leave after mid-afternoon to drive to her friend's Thai restaurant to work ─ or at least, that is where I am presuming she took off to, exclaiming that she was "late again".

However, during her time here at home today, she involved me in some costly enterprise she has embraced in which she hopes to be a reseller of some sort of special Thai coffee drink that has reputed health benefits that may even include weight loss. Supposedly, her Thai and Lao friends seem willing to be her customers.

And so she placed an order with a Thai website for a large quantity of this product ─ over $1,800 that she charged to my VISA credit card.

At least she made good on a promise to transfer me $900 this afternoon after she had left here.

But that card already had a balance of well over $4,000 that she was responsible for last December when she used the card to help pay off some gambling debts she had racked up. Consequently, I sure as blazes hope she will also make good on her promise to pay the remaining $900 + that she added to the card's balance today.

And I hope she is not being misled as to how popular this product is.

Finally, I have to confess that today is possibly the fifth consecutive day now in which I have shirked my scheduled exercising session due to excessive heat and / or the presence here at home of my brother or wife. I can only exercise in the house when I have the privacy.

Nevertheless, I at least try to do something ─ I am just not putting in a proper workout.

I might as well halt my post here as 6:40 p.m. approaches. As I said earlier, I am not expecting my brother home before 8:30 p.m., but I would like to do more than just sit here doing nothing but pound on a computer keyboard.
