Family Genealogy Answers Finally Gotten

After some hard-won sleep in the latter evening yesterday, I was up around 12:30 a.m.  intending to get some work done here at my computer. However, that had to wait ─ my wife was ensconced in this room watching videos on her tablet.

Her eldest son was downstairs at the dining table watching videos on a laptop.

I probably lost 15 or so minutes before she came to the realization that I was up, and then surrendered the room to me while she resorted to our bedroom.

It has been getting so darned hot lately ─ our bedroom is sweltering! It's easily been into the early 30s Celsius.

My primary goal was to finish and publish the post that I have worked on for well over a month at my website My Retirement Dream, and that has finally been accomplished: Isan Girls. The massive post is over 33,000 words.

I long outlasted my wife and her eldest son. In fact, I was not to return to bed until well after 6:30 a.m., if I am remembering correctly. I had to struggle by then to control my emotions, for it was so frustrating that this is the life that I have set for myself.

I managed some sleep, and became aware enough to be checking the time shortly after 9:30 a.m., rising then despite feeling so very poorly-slept. I needed to be up in order to join my younger brother by 10 a.m. to watch some videos via our Android TV Box on the T.V.

I led off our viewing with a video posted July 25 to Rumble.com which I thought was likely 30 - 40 minutes in duration, but which I later discovered was a tad over an hour in duration: Former Israeli defense officer: 5G radiation is dangerous.

The video was definitely interesting enough ─ interviewee Dafna Tachover clearly knew what she was talking about, and kept it simple enough for layfolks to follow.

I was impressed that my brother recognized that she was involved with Robert F. Kennedy Jr.'s Children's Health Defense organization, which I think helped to legitimize the woman ─ quite apart from her clear expertise.

Once the video was done, I tuned in a couple of shorter video that I previously recorded onto a USB flash drive, and then we watched a couple of series episodes that led off with Riverdale's season two premiere episode titled "Chapter Fourteen: A Kiss Before Dying".

What I did not expect was that the next show that we were to watch turned out to be the series finale of The Ranch, and titled "Take Me Home, Country Roads".

It is unfortunate that we did not realize until the episode was running late that it was likely the series conclusion ─ we would possibly have relished it more, knowing there would be no more episodes. The series quite early on became our favourite series for some time, and now its done.

I especially appreciated that it was a Christmastime episode.

By the way, my wife must have had to work today, for she left us very late in the morning. Usually she has an 11 a.m. start when she works full days at the Thai restaurant where she is employed part-time, but it was after 11:30 a.m. when she departed on her drive.

Anyway, after my brother and I finished watching T.V. around 1:20 p.m., he needed some bed rest ere leaving for the afternoon.

My lack of adequate sleep of late was too much to try to fend off, so I also sought a nap. My brother was gone when I rose. So, too, was my eldest stepson, who has an afternoon shift this week. His younger brother's schedule for today is a mystery to me.

It was around 3:30 p.m. when I rose from that nap, and I felt very hungry and groggy. I needed to contend with both states, so I fixed up a mug of my special ─ and most sustaining and delicious ─ hot caffeinated beverage.

That killed my hunger, and helped gather my wits.

However, it was far too hot to dare the day's scheduled full backyard toolshed exercise session, so I first performed some one-arm dumbbell presses with my 42½-pound weight; and then I went out into the backyard to get in some sunning in my bathing trunks.

That session of over 40 minutes commenced at 4:19 p.m. ─ too late for a full sunning session. So I only exposed my front. I hope that tomorrow I will be feeling able enough to start sunning without a time-losing nap beforehand.

I had some very good news when I came here to my computer after rising from the nap that I did get today. The Manitoba Genealogical Society finally responded and sent me the information that I had paid them $75 to seek out on my behalf concerning the parentage of my great grandmother Sarah Anne Bird.

I have not had the time to try and work everything out, but I did forward the material to a research specialist who has been helping me with this project ─ a man who specializes in Manitoba Métis genealogies, and who seems to have become both intrigued and invested in the elusive details of Sarah Anne Bird's genesis.

He ─ Stan ─ has a database of thousands of people, so I hope that the names the Manitoba Genealogy Society came up with will make sense to him by way of already being within his monumental store of genealogical information. Perhaps he will take the initiative of developing a genealogical tree ─ he has already done this with much of my family genealogy, and has sent me copies of the results.

So what I have sent to him will surely be of profound interest to him, or I badly misunderstood him ─ and I do not even remotely believe that I have.

There was something else that I think that I wanted to speak of, but it now escapes me if there was.

Regardless, my evening is already underway, and I still have to have a bath before I watch some T.V. and have an exquisitely chilled Cariboo Malt (8% alcohol).

I have just checked Google for the temperature ─ supposedly here in Surrey at 6 p.m., it was 35º Celsius.
