Upon exiting the bathroom early last evening following my bath, I was a little surprised to find that my wife was home and downstairs in the kitchen. Nevertheless, I did not let her presence later deter me from seeking my latter evening nap right around 9 p.m. even though there was as yet no sign of my younger brother returning home from wherever it was that he was drinking.
I suppose that I slept a little better than I usually do, for I felt uncommonly refreshed when I checked the time well ahead of midnight. However, my brother was still watching T.V., so I just lay atop my bed and waited him out.
He finally went to bed around 12:15 a.m.
I could have risen earlier, of course; but my wife was shut up in this room using it for her own purposes, and thus I had nowhere else to go. She was still using the room when I came forth from our bedroom, but I still had my teeth to brush, so I went downstairs to get some coconut oil and lie on the chesterfield for the next 15 - 20 minutes to laboriously tend to that chore.
My computer was mine by the time I was done.
And since my wife was to have to work a full day today at her friend's Thai restaurant where she is employed part-time with an 11 a.m. start of those scheduled full days, she didn't remain up too much later. Both of her sons had already retired for the night.
The eldest lad is on a day shift this week, so after getting most of what I wanted done overnight, I had to drop the little that remained undone and begin readying to return back to bed when I heard his alarm come on around 4:45 a.m.
As often enough explained before, if he sees that I am up, he will not bother locking the front door when he finally leaves for work. Consequently, I either have to hustle back to bed; or be prepared to sit up until after he leaves for work which could be as much as an hour later.
I remained in bed until maybe 9:20 a.m., and emerged from the bedroom to find that my brother was not downstairs with the T.V. on. He has of late been picking up and driving his girlfriend Bev to work now that she is back with a part-time schedule after being off work for several months. She only lives about than four blocks from the job, but she has dangerously high blood pressure that has brought her close to fainting; and so my brother is being solicitous.
I checked to ensure that his van was gone, and that he was not just seeking to sleep in.
I had at least three videos that I hoped for us to watch via our Android TV Box, and usually he is back by maybe 10:20 a.m. ─ but not so this time.
My wife rose and readied for work, finally leaving, and still he was not back.
He never returned until almost noon ─ far too late to bother watching anything at all. I did go downstairs to see if he had discovered that our corrupt provincial health officer Bonnie Henry's latest lying face mask mandates were in place anywhere he might have been, but it seems that the only place he had been was a hospital or some such in New Westminster where he had taken Bev for an appointment ─ testing, I imagine.
He dutifully had to wait for her to finally be released so he could bring her back home.
He was making some sort of repair on the vacuum cleaner and had the T.V. still off, so I came upstairs and just sought an early nap. Before I lapsed into any sleep, I heard him apparently vacuuming his van outside.
It was 1:18 p.m. when I next checked the time. My brother's van was still here, so I assumed that he was having some rest in his own bedroom. No one else was apparently home.
However, soon I heard him come into the house ─ he must have gone somewhere nearby afoot.
Anyway, he never did seek bed rest. He will no doubt be burning out after he heads away for the afternoon to eventually resume his daily drinking somewhere. His tolerance will be lower than usual ─ or I should say, his capacity to retain consciousness once he is back home will be much reduced.
He had the news that our corrupt provincial governmental authorities have announced partial medical apartheid to take place September 13 when 'vaccine passports' will be required to access numerous venues, including restaurants and bars.
Since Bev works in one, she is almost distraught ─ her health is already very poor, so the last hing she needs is a 'clot shot'.
And my brother ─ being a functional alcoholic ─ is most unhappy about the restrictions on pubs and bars. We are both wondering if liquor stores are next, for this is only going to quickly become worse.
After he left for the afternoon to enjoy what dwindling time he has left to freely visit bars, I visited Librti.com to see how members might be reacting, and I found one post that included this article from yesterday at CancukLaw.ca: B.C. Mandates “Vaccine Passports”, No Emergency Order, No Approval, No Exemptions (AUDIO).
One woman commented:
how far is this shit gonna go ?
And that inspired me to offer my own comment:
And how to fight it now? ─ not wait for some remotely future legal action that's obviously coming too late.
Bonnie definitely does not seem to me to be anyone trembling at the thought of any such legal actions, incidentally.
They'll mandate restaurants and bars now, but be assured that our food stores won't be too far off from being similarly restricted once Bonnie and the others test how compliant we all are.
We sit around admiring the furor going on in places like France and other countries, but what are we going to do?
Hold more "freedom rallies" and peace-loving marches, and sing songs while waving a bunch of placards?
Yes, I know I'm being unfair about those worthy efforts; but we're getting to the point where maybe we need to have a massive show of rebellion.
Nevertheless, I don't see it developing here.
And no, I'm not about to try and spearhead anything. I'm in my early 70s, massively in credit debt, and I don't even drive ─ I'm basically useless.
But I see myself fighting to my death here at home once the authorities eventually come to my door when this all gets beyond serious.
I am truly sincere about this. I have had enough of our false health officers and complicitous, ignorant politicians. If they want and are trying to provoke a civil war, then lets give it to the bastards.
I must drop this topic for today ─ I cannot temperately handle it.
Today was sunny from the 'get-go' ─ I was starting to think that we would not have any further such days this month. There was no way that I was not going to get in any full sunning.
Even so, I stupidly got involved in that preceding topic, and before I knew it, two hours has passed since I had that nap.
So at something like 3:16 p.m. I began very well more than an hour of the sunning of both my back and front while attired in my swimming trunks.
Anyway, it is nearing 7 p.m. and I want to get some research and a few other related things done, so I am going to end this post here.
