I was to bed last evening ahead of 9:30 p.m., and then up again early into the midnight hour. I had thought that my younger brother had retired for the night, but anon I heard him downstairs talking to one of my stepsons.
Apparently after my brother had shut off the T.V., he had gone outside to try and witness the Perseids showering ─ apparently they were to have been at their peak display this year.
Well, naturally, the sky was suddenly overcast following what had been an exceptionally hot, sunny day. As we were to discover today, the overcast is high smoke from apparent distant forest and wild fires. There is even a smoky scent to the air today.
It was my intention overnight to get started on the groundwork for a new post at one of my two hosted websites, but I never managed to find the time ─ other tasks exhausted my hours.
My wife ─ who may have worked that day at her friend's Thai restaurant ─ so very quietly arrived home around 2 a.m. that I almost did not hear her presence. In fact, I finally had to leave my computer in the small room next to our bedroom, and check the bedroom door ─ sure enough, it had been closed.
She had come home and upstairs and passed right past me, and I barely knew of it.
She definitely had to work a full day today, so she finally headed away around 10:45 a.m. ─ she would be a little late for her 11 a.m. start.
I got back to bed last night around 5 a.m., and had the usual difficulty finding a posture inducive of sleep. I just don't know why that is. It is not that I am uncomfortable when I get to bed. The problem is that falling asleep while lying upon my back is so difficult that it will in all likelihood exceed an hour, and what will ultimately be required is for me to drop off into sleep out of the sheer exhaustion of making the effort.
It is easier for me to get to sleep while lying upon a side, but none of those positions are particularly comfortable. And having my wife in bed restricts my freedom to be tossing about restlessly, which can actually sometimes yield postures that do prove comfortable.
In yesterday's post, I wrote of how the Manitoba Genealogical Society (MGS) had at last sent me a number of documents relating to my great grandmother's parentage ─ on my own, I had been unable to find out who her parents were.
My $75 gamble that the MGS could find something paid off ─ it now seems clear who her parents were. The couple whom my cousin Doug S. and I believed might well have been her parents turned out to be her grandparents.
Doug had been speculating that there seemed to be a missing generation, and that suspicion has now been vindicated.
We had been getting enormous assistance in all of this from a Manitoba MΓ©tis genealogical specialist by the name of Stan H. who has a database of thousands of names. But even he was not able to come up with the identities of Sarah Anne Bird's parents.
I forwarded everything the MGS had sent me to both Doug and Stan, but thus far only Stan has gotten back to me ─ that dear soul created a 90-page family tree in .pdf format that leads off from my father.
I have only known Stan via E-mail for two months at most, I would estimate; yet he has invested himself to an unimaginable degree in this research and work on the behalf of Doug and I. The guy is an absolute jewel.
I would advertise ─ celebrate ─ his name, but I will not do so without his okay.
Oh ─ I just checked my E-mail account, and Doug finally replied. Key in what he said was this:
I will write all those things down on a lineage sheet and try to find birth dates on the Mormon site so I can complete the tree I made there.
He knew nothing of the 90-page document that Stan created, so I replied back to Doug and included the document. I'm here unsure of just which website Doug is working in to create the tree he spoke of, but the end result cannot possibly be as detailed as what Stan has accomplished in just the 18 or so hours in which he has had the MGS documents that I forwarded to him yesterday in the latter afternoon.
Stan is priceless!
Okay, I am going to drop that topic for today.
My morning began at nearly 9:30 a.m. when I checked the time and rose. When I exited my bedroom, I found that my brother had still not ventured from his. That took maybe another 15 minutes ─ he may have been hitting the sauce last night, and not just beer.
When I joined him at 10 a.m. to watch some T.V. together via our Android TV Box, I led things off with Odessa Orlewicz's nigh 20-minute video from yesterday: Aug 12- Update On CSASPP's case against Bonnie Henry And I announce the exciting guest I have coming on the show Friday the 13th.
I had no idea who the CSASPP was, so I looked it up: Canadian Society for the Advancement of Science in Public Policy.
I cannot lay claim to having been aware of any pending legal action by this group against our false provincial health officer, but I wholeheartedly wish them all success! It's just most unfortunate that nothing is going to proceed in court until the "certification hearing" on June 20 of next year (2022), with the actual trial not being scheduled until April 23 of the following year ─ that is, in 2023.
We could be having civil war long before that!
Anyway, I am glad that Odessa brought up this legal action so that my brother and I are now informed of it.
I followed that video with this 44-minute August 4 interview by Asia Pacific Today of a Dr. Piers Robinson ("an expert on communication, media and world politics, focusing on conflict and war and especially the role of propaganda"): Covid is a Global Propaganda Operation.
The man is clearly knowledgeable and was certainly interesting enough, but he needs to practice speaking ─ overall, his voice or vocal presentation was undeniably boring. It often took considerable effort to keep tuning in to what he was saying because his tone so often made what he was saying seem unimportant and uninteresting and my attention would start to drift off.
As he clearly said, what's going on has nothing to do with a virus ─ it's all about getting everyone to submit and comply to what is coming.
And pertinent to that is something the Canadian government's Crime Minister Justin Trudeau proclaimed this morning ─ the imminence of the national introduction of vaccine passports.
That bastard has to go!
And I dearly hope that Derek Sloan can manage to make that happen in any early federal election tyrannical idiot Trudeau may launch.
Derek sent out this E-mail today concerning what Trudeau has announced in relation to those despicable vaccine passports:
Today, our worst fears were confirmed and the worst development imaginable has come to pass.
The Trudeau government is intent on ushering in a new age of segregation and medical apartheid in Canada through the introduction of a policy of mandatory COVID vaccinations for all federal public servants, employees of Crown corporations and federally regulated businesses, and air and train passengers in Canada. You can read more about it by clicking here.
This makes no scientific sense whatsoever. It will do nothing to stop the spread of anything except the erasure of the Charter rights of Canadians.
We’ve known for years that our Prime Minister admires Communist China, because he told us that he does.
Now we’re seeing the full implication of that admiration: a desire to replicate the stifling, repressive, soul-crushing society of state control through “social credit” tyranny practiced in China, and use it on Canadians.
Well, we’re not having it!
Together, we’re going to fight it. And we’re going to win!
Since the announcement, I have been inundated with calls and emails from Canadians asking how they can join the fight against this unacceptable violation of our freedoms.
The people contacting me are commonly telling a similar story; I’m the last political leader they’d imagined they’d be calling on, but events have opened their eyes to the truly nefarious intentions held by those pushing these evil policies.

I am thrilled to have you with me! I don’t care if we’ve never agreed on much before, because this is the only issue that matters right now. This is the most important time in the history of Canada.
This isn’t about left or right, Liberal, Conservative, NDP, Green, or anything else.
This is about staying true to Canada, about fighting for our country and for our freedom, and that’s exactly what we’re going to do.My tour of Alberta has been such a success that we’re extending it this week!
I was in Red Deer on Thursday, I’ll be in Drayton Valley this evening, Camrose on Sunday, and St. Albert on Monday!
We’ve had outstanding turnouts at these events, and people are noticing. Click here to read what is being said about my events.
Everywhere I go, I meet people who are fed up with the way things are.
They’ve had enough of voting to elect one of 338 MPs, only to have four people - the party leaders - tell those MPs exactly how to vote in Parliament.
They’ve had enough of the radical leftist approach of the Liberals, and the fact that the Conservative Party of Canada can’t bring itself to significantly disagree with anything the Liberal Party stands for, from freedom-stifling internet censorship, to economically crippling carbon taxes, to society-destroying lockdowns, and now to vaccine passports!
Some even wonder whether Erin O’Toole is actually doing this on purpose. Click here to find out why that might be.
Our movement is growing because everywhere I go, I meet people who want to break with the status quo, who know that the time for playing it safe is over, and that the time to stand up for Canada is now!
Our timing couldn’t be better, because this is the moment we’re seeing a real split among political leaders both in Canada and around the world.
Some are coming to accept the truth that viruses like COVID will always be with us, and that we must learn to protect the vulnerable while continuing to live our lives, as individuals and as societies.
I have been very disappointed with the repressive actions of the Alberta government throughout this health crisis, especially their draconian oppression of religious freedoms.
Other provinces are also so addicted to the power that the health crisis has brought them that we see them keeping the fear alive by pushing “fourth-wave” fear messaging.
Trudeau, O’Toole, and Singh all repeat this mantra, while Nova Scotia Premier Iain Rankin and Quebec Premier Francois Legault push for vaccination mandates and vaccine passports.
And now, Trudeau has joined them with his federal vaccination mandate plan.
This is martial law masquerading as medical safety.
It stopped being a medical crisis when they crossed the line from recommendations to mandatory public health rules, at which point it stopped being about a virus or about data, and became a question of Charter freedoms, of informed consent, and of who controls your body.
Too many Canadians have accepted the erosion of their freedoms in exchange for “safety”, when in fact COVID is not the threat it is made out to be.
Vaccine passports are the gravest threat to public health and prosperity in Canada’s history. They will take control of your health and of your very body and deliver them into the hands of politicians and health bureaucrats.
Our movement is growing and will continue to grow because we know that when we see politicians, even those who claim to be “conservatives”, promoting a false crisis for political control, we have to push back and stand up for Canadian freedom.
Canada was not built on fear. It was built on hope and on strength and on courage.
We can fix what’s wrong with Canada. We can lower the cost of living, reduce fuel costs, revitalize our economy, restore our freedoms, and return to the Canada we know.
We can take Canada back, and that’s exactly what we’re going to do!
All we have to do is stop being afraid and start being free.
We’re lighting a fire that’s spreading all over the nation.
This is the fight of our lives, and we will never surrender!
You can help by spreading the word and by sharing this email with as many of your friends and family as possible.

I have never backed down and I never will, and I’m proud and honoured to have you beside me in this fight for the life of Canada.
God Bless You and God Bless Canada!
Yes, it was a very long statement, but we're in a huge emergency where our reigning Crime Minister Trudeau is concerned.
Alright, I've got that out of the way.
In lieu of an afternoon nap, I attempted to do a little sunning out in the backyard, but I waited much too late. It was 4:44 p.m. once I began.
That proved to be too discouragingly late, and I gave it up after a bit over 20 minutes. It was extremely warm and humid, but not much actual sunshine was pouring through the heavy haze. And toward the end, I couldn't even make out any shadows ─ the Sun was that heavily obscured.
I was wasting my time.
Okay, I'm ready for a chilled can of Cariboo Malt (8% alcohol), and some T.V. to go with it. I don't think I will have too much difficulty finding some sleep over the latter evening to prepare me for my planned overnight hours of work here at my computer.
