Impact

The sole reason I rose when I did this morning ─ maybe around 6:30 a.m. ─ was to hustle outside to water the front yard garden plants. I had not done so yesterday, so I did not want to skip out on two days.

The morning was heavily overcast.

Following the watering, I then went to the backyard tool shed for a pathetic session of pull-ups and chin-ups. First four sets of pull-ups (3-2-2-2 reps), then three sets of chin-ups (2-2-2), and finishing with two sets of pull-ups between the two bars that I use (2-2 reps), and I held the dead hang after the very last pull-up for a 50-count.

Then came the usual 31 full flat-footed squats to work my bad right knee: 20 assisted, 10 unassisted, and one unassisted held in the squat position for a 100-count. Note that there is no point in increasing the number of squats ─ I just want to keep the ability to do them.

My younger brother never emerged from his bedroom until maybe 8:10 a.m. to have coffee and watch T.V., but I refrained from joining him until just past 9 a.m.

And when I did, and he soon turned the T.V. over to me so that I could operate our Android TV Box, I led with an 18-minute (18:50) video uploaded two days ago to YouTube's AnitaK channel: Why YOU Are the Criminal.

The video covered the "castle doctrine" as well as the right to have the means of self-defence ─ preferably at all times.

I followed that with a 21-minute (21:14) video uploaded yesterday to YouTube's Jasmin Laine channel: “It’s ABSURD!” CBC Guest Fact Checks Carney on LIVE TV—Poilievre Has Reporters SPEECHLESS.

CBC Couldn’t Handle It—Poilievre’s FACTS HUMILIATE Liberal Spin on Live TV

Thereafter came Star Trek: Discovery ─ episode five ("Saints of Imperfection") of season two.

Then we watched the second part of the season two double-episode (9 and 10) of the Ghosts (American version) storyline "The Christmas Spirit" that we began yesterday. My source was this GOOJARA.to link.

It felt Christmassy.

We finished up with an episode from YouTube's Ember channel, but danged if I can figure out which one it was. I had actually downloaded it ─ probably as much as a couple or more months ago; so maybe she deleted that specific episode. She's sure a cutie!

I must jump ahead now. It is already working towards 8 p.m. and I want to watch a couple of shows here on my bedside computer while enjoying some Cariboo Malt (7.9% alcohol).

After my brother returned to his bedroom for further bed rest in the late morning, I probably dawdled until too near 1:30 p.m. before seeking my nap. By then it had become unexpectedly sunny outside.

I might not have been in bed for even an hour and could have sunned, but this was a bath day, so I decided to forego the sunning due to the cost of time involved. The damned bath takes pretty close to an hour. Heck, I didn't even exercise in my wife's vacant bedroom.

When stripped down for that bath and on an empty stomach, I weighed as much as 178 pounds.

I must withhold further comment. I have had my supper ─ my only meal today, apart from two mugs of instant coffee with the works. Right now it is 7:45 p.m. and time for entertainment and alcoholic refreshment.

I tuned in Doom Patrol ─ episode eight ("Danny Patrol") of season one. Lord, the "Karen" personality of dominant "Jane" was absolutely alluring to me!

My source for the episode was this uFLIX.to link. And I held to one can of beer.

The show finished barely ahead of 9 p.m. and still my brother was not back from his outing via bus to social drink, but I think it was he that I heard enter the front door about 10 minutes later.

I needed more entertainment and the excuse it yielded for another beer, so I tuned in 9-1-1: Lone Star ─ episode 11 ("Impact") of season five. It sure had its good moments! But I could have done without the nonsense of "Tommy" seemingly reaching her end in the company of her dead husband who had come to comfort her.

What rot.

I made do with just one further can of beer; and my episode source was this GOOJARA.to link.

The plan in the early a.m. is some local grocery shopping; so although I probably could cram in a bit more drinking and entertainment, I shall not. I actually do not feel any true need for it.

Maybe I will sign off here at 10:27 p.m. And maybe I'll be in bed by 11 p.m. at very latest.
