Having made it to bed last evening very shortly before 10 p.m., I opted to set my cellphone alarm for 3:30 a.m. instead of 3 a.m.
It may have paid off, for I felt a little more keen than I have in a long time on getting up and having my outing, which would be the 1½-mile or so round trip walk to the elementary school playground for six sets of pull-ups and chin-ups.
Actually, I rose around 3:15 a.m. after checking the time, so I had probably been awake at 3 a.m. or before.
It was, however, extremely annoying to get up and discover that my youngest stepson was still sitting up in his den area farting around on his computer. I don't think he has worked this week thus far. I wish employment was far better for him.
I feel confident that I managed to get on my way without him being aware.
I had weighed myself before leaving ─ fully clothed just as I would be when I exercised at the playground ─ and I was a surprisingly low 180 or so pounds.
The sky had light cloud, but lots of dark, clear regions.
At the playground, I found the equipment to be just perceptibly damp. I would not dare using a bar without wiping it entirely dry with my bandana, but I didn't bother doing so for the two half-rings I would also be using.
This dampness is going to be distressing as the Summer wanes, for soon the only time I will likely ever find the equipment dry is when there is a very dry cold prevailing. And that will not be often ─ the cold is primarily of the wet sort that becomes frost or even ice.
Anyway, despite some overtraining stress of affected anatomical structures involved in the exercises, I matched yesterday's performance: two sets of pull-ups (seven and two repetitions); two sets of chin-ups (three repetitions in each); and two sets of pull-ups between a pair of nigh stationary half-rings (two repetitions in each).
Each set had a 30-count separating them, but I never attempted the dead hang until a break of a minute or more. Still, I held it for a 90-count just as yesterday.
And a couple or so minutes later managed 10 slow full-range decline push-ups on a nearby metal ramp ─ also matching yesterday's performance.
I sure do wish that they would replace the older kids' playground that they ripped out early last month.
By the time I hobbled back home, my stepson had gone to bed.
Later, not too many minutes after 5:30 a.m., I tackled the long job of watering front yard garden plants. There was just enough light outside to see what I was doing, but not quite enough to keep track of any mosquitoes. I wear gloves when I am using the hose because of that damned threat.
Once the long chore was over with, it was far brighter outside.
I had a light breakfast, and was not back to bed until well past 7 a.m. Maybe it was even 7:30 a.m.
I was still aware when I believed my younger brother to be going downstairs, but probably did lapse into a bit of a nap. When I roused and got back up, I expected it to be after 9 a.m., but it wasn't too much after 8 a.m. ─ certainly before 8:30 a.m.
Upon joining my brother very soon past 9 a.m. and anon getting his invitation to put our Android TV Box to work, I had us sample a near hour-long (58:56) video uploaded July 16 to YouTube's The Conspiracy Files channel: TEACHERS, JUDGES, & COPS: Unraveling A Massive Canadian Cover-Up.
In the 1990's, a disturbing story began to unfold in Canada. Victims started talking, talk of weird rituals and cult like ceremonies began to spread throughout town, and soon enough, members of the police force, the local Catholic Churches and other local institutions were suddenly caught up in a growing scandal that would change their community forever.
We got so damned fed up with the blatant constant censoring ─ it was gratuitous, we felt, designed to gain subscribers at some other platform where self-censorship is not required ─ that with possibly less than 10 minutes of the video remaining, my brother asked that we skip it.
I will not again visit the channel.
I next tuned in Resident Alien ─ episode two ("The Lonely Man") of season four. Always great fun!
And we finished the nearly half hour of the two-hour movie we began two days ago ─ 1999's Dogma. It was difficult to follow initially, for I had not read its description. Nor was it anything like a great film. But it had some funny and even dramatic elements.
Very bad acting, though.
Alanis Morissette never appeared until near the end, and I didn't even know it was her because I didn't realize that she was in the movie. All I thought was that the actress was cute and seemed to have really nice legs.
Linda Fiorentino had the lead role, I would say; but for some reason her voice was constantly of such low register that it made me feel like it had been recorded separately. Or maybe it was further demonstration of the bad acting throughout the movie. I see that Wikipedia says of her:
Noted for her "raven hair, intense gaze and low voice"
Oddly, I am 75 years old, and cannot say that I am familiar with her even though Wikipedia also says that she "was placed No. 66 on the 1995 edition of Empire's list of the 100 Sexiest Stars in Film History by a reader's poll."
If interested, my video source was published June 26, 2024, to Bitchute's Page Chronicles channel: ๐ฝ 'Faith is a funny thing.' Dogma (1999) (Fantasy/Adventure/Comedy/Drama) R 2h 10m.
Our last video was 20 minutes (20:46) and had been uploaded March 11, 2021, to YouTube's The Why Files channel: Earthquakes Asteroids Zombies: Predictions of Nostradamus.
I'm not going to reproduce the video description ─ the title says enough.
My brother afterwards returned to his bedroom for further bed rest, and I was back to bed for a nap at some point during the noon hour, I expect. Whatever the case, I think that it was 2:08 p.m. when finally I rose. My brother and Bev were gone to do some shopping.
The sky was predominantly blue, but there were large white clouds in every direction. I know I could have sunned, but I did not want to ─ not without a pure blue sky in all directions, so I have now taken off six consecutive days.
But only because much better sunning weather is just ahead.
I have had some exercise in my wife's vacant bedroom, and I have also rather lightly supped. It is now 7 p.m., so I am going to take a break to watch a show or two here on my bedside computer while having as many cans of Cariboo Malt (7.9% alcohol).

My first show was The Carrie Diaries ─ episode eight ("Hush Hush") of the first season. I seem to be liking the series more with each episode! I even started linking bad "Donna".
My source was this GOOJARA.to link ─ no problems whatsoever.
The episode finished just ahead of 8 p.m., and my brother was still away, having left here just past 3 p.m. to catch a bus and go social drinking somewhere.
My next show choice was Wynonna Earp ─ episode two ("Friends in Low Places") of season four. Lord, that was a loud episode!
I watched the show at this GOOJARA.to link for just after the 35-minute mark, and then it buffered out; so I finished watching it at this uFLIX.to link.
Yeah, I dig watching two gorgeous naked Lesbians making out in extended fashion as took place late in the episode, but this sort of thing has no place for general public consumption. There are other venues for anyone who wants to get off watching that stuff.
At least it wasn't a pair of guys.
The episode finished just past ... what, 8:50 p.m.? Or was it just past 8:40 p.m.?
Whatever the case, my brother was still not home.
I have a few things I want to do before getting to bed for another wee a.m. outing, if possible; so I am going to stop blogging and publish this post now at 9:08 p.m.
