Covered and Wrapped

Another morning whereby my 6 a.m. cellphone alarm was to begin my day for me, and have me ready after daylight for a sorry performance out in the backyard tool shed of just a single repetition in each of the six sets of pull-ups and chin-ups.

Then I dealt with the squat portion to challenge my damaged right knee and quadriceps muscles.

I never bothered with my day's first meal, for I had earlier consumed a big mug of instant coffee with sweetening and real cream. I tend not to eat on Saturdays until after dark, although I will probably make 6 p.m. the target as Spring and Summer arrive. Eating a meal at 9 p.m. or later is not an ideal thing to be doing.

My younger brother emerged from his bedroom well ahead of 8 a.m., so I waited about an hour and joined him well ahead of 9 a.m. for our morning T.V. together.

I reckon that my wife had a full workday at the Thai restaurant where she is employed part-time, but she never came out of her bedroom until close to 10:10 a.m., possibly being away on her rather long drive by 10:30 a.m.

When she was getting set to go, I approached her and playfully declared that all I could afford to do was wish her a Happy Valentine's Day ─ and that was the truth.

Anyway, after I was invited by my brother to begin operation of our old T95Q Android 9 TV Box, I led with a 26-minute (26:05) video published earlier today to YouTube's AnitaK channel: Mega Streamer Asmongold Says Canada is Weak.

I’m a former Global News control room director turned independent creator.
I break down media, politics, and power — with context you won’t get on TV.

Mega streamer Asmongold recently argued that Canada has become “weak-willed,” saying Canadians often allow major social and political changes to happen without much public pushback.

In this video, I break down what Asmongold said, including his comments about immigration levels, debates over gender policy and youth, and the broader question of whether Canadians speak up enough about issues that affect their country.

Is his criticism fair—or way off base? Watch and decide.

Our second video exceeded an hour, but I was only interested in the first 39⅓ or so minutes because that was when the two guests of the pair of hosts were dismissed. The video had been streamed yesterday to Rumble's Rebel News channel: Tumbler Ridge shooting aftermath, Liberals warn of 'illegitimate' media | Rebel Roundtable.

David Menzies and Sheila Gunn Reid are joined by activist Billboard Chris (@BillboardChris) and commentator Odessa Orlewicz (@OdessaOrlewicz) in this edition of the Rebel Roundtable.

We finished up with the remaining portion ─ well over an hour ─ of the movie we had suspended from yesterday so my brother could return to his bedroom for further bed rest. The movie was 1992's Hard Boiled. If interested, my source had been published May 14, 2024, to BitChute's Page Chronicles channel: Hard Boiled (1992) A John Woo Film | Action/Crime/thriller | 2h 8m.

And only now in looking over the Wikipedia write-up for the movie do I see that the handsome hotshot smaller cop (Alan) was not killed after all in the closing scenes of the burning hospital ─ good thing I took a look, or I would have forever believed the undercover cop had died.

At the movie's conclusion my brother of course pursued further bed rest, while I was soon to bed for an unusually short nap ─ when I rose from it, I could barely believe that it was only 1 p.m.

An overcast very early morning soon turned into a rather sunny day.

I suppose my short nap, along with not having any meal in my system, afforded me the freedom to not only have some light exercise in my wife's vacant bedroom, but this was also a bath day and that is a lengthy unloved chore ─ but I got it all done.

Stripped naked to have that bath, I was rather pleased to see my weight down to around 180 pounds.

Time now for my usual blogging break to have some manner of meal, and then I will be likely watching three T.V. shows here on my bedside computer while doing some drinking. The plan is to do some early morning local grocery shopping tomorrow, but I will need to check my bank account in the morning to see what is available to me with next Thursday's mortgage looming.

'Tis 6:26 p.m.

At most it was 7:59 p.m. when my first show finished ─ as well as the can of Cariboo Malt (7.9% alcohol) that had accompanied it. The show was FBI ─ episode 16 ("Covered") of season seven. My source was this TVSeries.video link.

It was certainly interesting and even exciting enough, but somewhat formulaic. Guest actress Emily Alabi was a bit of a treat.

My second show ─ and beer ─ were done by 9:15 p.m. I had watched FBI: Most Wanted ─ episode 11 ("Radio Silence") of season five. My source was another TVSeries.video link.

Definitely interesting and exciting as well, but it also felt formulaic. The episode finished without me feeling the slightest bit of emotion. I was wholly unaffected because the characters just do not seem genuine enough. For one thing, I abhor this degree of unflinching devotion to an entity like the FBI. The characters are just not genuine people.

This is not why I stand here watching shows and drinking all alone in my bedroom ─ I want to be touched.

Well, whatever.

I do not know if my brother had returned home by then from his usual public transit to go social drinking, or if he got back while I was taking the time to brush my teeth. He was definitely downstairs watching T.V. with Bev by the time I was done the brushing chore.

My third and final show was done by 10:49 p.m., as were the eight or so ounces of Sommet Rouge wine (12% alcohol) that I had poured into a glass tumbler to enjoy with the show.

The show was Blood Ties ─ episode seven ("Wrapped") of season two. My source was this M4uFree.cx link.

Has actor Danny Trejo ever played a truly good guy?

Obviously the show was sheer implausibility and full of holes, but I enjoy Christina Cox and the skinny Goth persona of Gina Holden.

Why does the latter turn me on so damned much? I find her to be powerful and overwhelming.

Enough for this evening, though. I must ensure that I am to bed before midnight, and it is already 11:09 p.m.
