Last evening's bedtime was around 9:10 p.m. at latest, and my cellphone alarm was set for 1:30 a.m. to get me up to ready for another five-mile+ walk.
I did sleep rather deeply and long for a change, but the point arrived when I was suspiciously awake. I had just shifted position in a bid to get back to sleep, when my curiosity had me check the time: it was 1:28 a.m.
So I pulled myself from bed and deactivated my alarm.
The house was blessedly in darkness, so no one else was up. My wife's closed bedroom door indicated that she had come home at some point following her long workday at the Thai restaurant where she is employed part-time.
An online check for the temperature hereabouts turned up 12.5° Celsius (54.5° F.), so I opted that I would wear my light denim jacket.
I also checked my joint bank account ─ I had only left $99 in it due to the risk of predation by my casino gambling-addicted wife, but I was to discover that even such a relatively small amount was not safe from her ─ she had transferred out $80.
From now on I will leave less than $50, except when I know some larger recurring monthly figure is due to be debited.
Just before I was set to leave, I weighed myself while fully clothed, but without the jacket: 188 pounds. This was most discouraging, for of late I have been registering at 185 pounds or just slightly over.
Thus, when I got to the elementary school playground early into my walk where I would be tackling some pull-ups and chin-ups, I expected the worst ─ I would not be achieving my recent attainments in set totals despite removing my jacket.
That proved to be so, but I only fell short in the fifth of the usual six sets I like to perform. Regardless, I only managed to do as well as I did because of lots of kicking and vocalizing ─ it was an almost excruciating experience.
So five and then three pull-ups in the first two sets; then three chin-ups in the next two sets; and I finished with two pull-ups in both of the final sets using a pair of gymnastics-style rings, and I held the very last pull-up at highest elevation for a 15-count.
I then did one further set of a single pull-up.
And of course, I finished up with 10 slow full-range push-ups in a declined posture on a cement ramp.
The pull-up and chin-up sets have a 30-count break between them.
Keep in mind that I am not quite five feet and 11 inches in height (180.34 centimetres), and I am 73 years old (my 74th birthday is just over two weeks ahead). Therefore, 185 pounds are a fair workload for pull-ups and chin-ups.
Everything was dripping from recent rains, but the upper parts of the equipment I exercised on were dry ─ only the bottoms had diminishing droplets of the past rain.
The sky was mostly overcast, but there were plenty of breaks.
Three times on my walk I had to make a detour around ─ in two cases ─ a probable homeless person suspiciously loitering. In one case, the figure was actually lolling on the damp sidewalk, and it was only seeing movement of a head or an arm that made me privy that the distant obstacle was somebody inexplicably reclined across the sidewalk I was until then following, so I crossed the highway and continued on along the other side.
The second occasion involved the same person when I was on my return. This time I could see that it was a man, and he was on his feet ─ but bent right over at the hip. He was moving about where he was loitering, so I was unsure if he was picking through something there on the ground, or if he was just unnaturally assuming that posture.
The other cause for making a detour was because of an ambulance parked on the side of the avenue I was following ─ the attendants were administering to someone on the sole sidewalk along that avenue, so I crossed over to the opposite side where there was no sidewalk. I progressed some distance until I was well past the scene before returning to the sidewalk.
Note that this was along an avenue through forest, so I had to wonder how the paramedics knew of someone needing aid ─ the sidewalk was somewhat removed from the avenue and anyone lying on it would surely have been invisible from the point of view of passing vehicles. There must have been another person with the sufferer, or else a rare traveller had come along on the sidewalk and found the fallen soul.
It was 2:01 a.m. when I set off on my walk; and possibly 4:07 a.m. (at latest) when I was back home.
I now cannot recall, but it was probably after 5:30 a.m. when I returned to bed where I was to have an atrocious time of it getting to sleep. I could not relax, and began fidgeting almost as quickly as I would change positions to seek comfort ─ it was most irritating. In fact, it was nearly as it I was feeling 'prickly'.
As a result, when eventually I did settle, I was not to make a final check of the time until just after 9 a.m. My previous check had been just before 7:30 a.m., at which time I had checked in order to see if it was yet past 8 a.m. Had it been, I would have risen; but since it was still a bit too early, I sought some further sleep and managed to submerge for a bit over 1½ hours.
My younger brother was downstairs watching T.V., so I soon enough joined him. And he was quite prompt in turning the T.V. over to me so that I could put our Android TV Box into action.
We were only to watch one video. It exceeded two hours (2:05:35), and has at least four sources on BitChute, but I will only present this November 27, 2022, addition to the ittabena channel: Enjoy The Show - Current Psyop C.I.A C.A.A - Tore Maras.
You will have to deduce for yourself from the title what the documentary entails, but it seeks to cover considerable historical time and events as a lengthy prelude to digging into what is going on today.
My wife had another workday today, it would seem; and she did not appear to be well rested ─ too much partying last evening, I would say. However, I think that she would arrive in plenty of time for the restaurant's 11 a.m. opening.
That video finished around 11:50 a.m., but my brother was set for some bed rest, so we watched nothing further. And when he later emerged from his bedroom to leave for the day, I had not yet sought my usual early afternoon nap.
The day has been overcast, but for some late afternoon surprising appearances by the Sun. The cul-de-sac outside our house has looked just about dried, but early this evening I noticed that it seemed all wet again ─ there must have been a light rain shower that I was never aware of.
I took a break from this post before quite 5:30 p.m. for some light exercising, and then I decided to have my supper a little earlier than usual ─ it was quite a light repast, and I ate here at my computer while watching an episode of Cybill. This time it was season two's episode 19 ("An Officer and a Thespian").
Years back when the series was current, I thought that Christine Baranski had fabulous legs. Since re-watching the series, I now realize that her legs were rather on the trim side, and not as nicely muscled as I had formerly believed.
Nonetheless, there are times when the woman looks devastatingly gorgeous.
I am re-watching the series because I am an Alicia Witt fan ─ I was not back when the series was current. Heck, I didn't even remember that she was a regular. In season one, she looked juvenile, but now that I am deep into season two, her beauty is extremely apparent.
Dedee Pfeiffer is undeniably hot, too ─ but in a natural and underrated way. She could easily have played a femme fatale.
I am going to close today's post here. I want to brush my teeth and then place a phone call via my computer. And since I want to be getting up overnight at 1:30 a.m. for another walk, I will need to retire sensibly early.
