The Engagement Clause

I shall seek not to watch further evening Christmas movies anytime that I intend to be rising at 1:30 a.m. overnight to begin readying for one of my five-mile+ walks. More on that in a bit.

The movie I watched last evening ─ along with two cans of strong (8% alcohol) malt before I had some supper ─ was 2016's Married by Christmas. Apparently the movie is also known as The Engagement Clause.

In looking at the poster photo for the movie, I did wonder if the lead actress was going to turn out to be the same actress playing the Gay love interest (Ava Sharpe) for the Sara Lance character in Legends of Tomorrow ─ and so it was.

The actress's name (Jes Macallan) meant nothing to me, so there had been no clue there.

To be frank, Jes does not physically appeal to me on Legends of Tomorrow, but she did rather prove cute and appealing in this movie ─ especially when she got superbly drunk and had to be taken home from a bar by her male nemesis.

I also had no idea if the actress was Gay ─ I can't understand how an actor / actress can typecast him- or herself in a long-running T.V. series as a Gay character if it is not actually so for the actor / actress.

So that association was a bit of a blip for me. If Jes was actually Gay, then having a heterosexual role is a bit of a stretch for me to be able to 'lose myself' for the sake of the story. (Jes is apparently NOT Gay, by the way.)

Her character's younger sister who became engaged was played by April Bowlby. But that's another name I am not familiar with. Eventually, though, her big intense eyes and her facial expressions became almost undeniably familiar ─ was this possibly the same much younger hot dumb babe that drunken Alan Harper married in Las Vegas in the T.V. series Two and a Half Men?

The resemblance became so strong for me, yet none of the sensual sexiness of her Kandi character in that latter series was evident. As Kandi she was sensuous ─ leggy and bosomy, and absolutely irresistible. Where were all of those attributes in this movie? There was not even a hint that she was as stacked as her Kandi character was in my recollection.

The actress is exceptional!

Also, she is actually just over two years older than Jes, so she pulled off being the younger sister very believably.

I enjoyed the movie a whole lot, even if it didn't plunge me deeply into a tearful flood of emotion like Christmas movies are capable of doing.

Due to a couple of factors, I resorted to watching the final 10 - 15 minutes or so here on my computer that I keep upstairs in my bedroom. I believe that it was MoviesJoy where I accessed it. So if you have a decent ad blocker on your browser, you ought to be able to try out the movie there for yourself.

Whether or not I got to bed later than I wanted or should have, I never sleep all that well when I both drink and then sup, and that fashion of sleep definitely applied last night.

My cellphone's 1:30 a.m. chiming did not waken me ─ it only roused me to rise and begin readying.

An online check of the temperature hereabouts read 15.5° Celsius (59.9° F.), but that was unlikely. I was to find the night air distinctly cool; and the sky was mostly clear and moonless.

I weighed myself before leaving and while fully dressed: maybe 185 pounds with my jacket off, and 188 pounds with it on.

It was 2 a.m. by the time I was outside and away.

By about two blocks into my walk, I was seriously considering giving it up. I felt hungover; and with my 74th birthday just under a month into the future, I felt like I was jeopardizing my well-being by forcing this walk. It seemed beyond my endurance.

And I was nearly to the elementary school playground where I would be tackling six sets of pull-ups and chin-ups ─ with the prospect of having to try and match a new increase in repetitions that I managed the previous night!

Certainly, I only increased one of the sets by just one pull-up, but the overall total was more than I have managed in at least two years ─ maybe even much, much longer.

So when I got to the playground, I resolved that I would not put my life at risk. After all, I may not knowingly have been vaccinated, but the way I was feeling, the potential of "suddenly" dying was very real to me.

Nevertheless, since the equipment was dry of any condensation and I would not require gloves, I also removed my jacket to lighten the load.

Well, guess what? Somehow I hit the new expected totals. That is, five and then three pull-ups in the first two sets; then three chin-ups in both of the next two sets; and finally, three and then two pull-ups between a pair of gymnastics-style rings in the final two sets, with the final pull-up held at peak elevation for a 15-count.

And I capped things off with 10 slow full-range push-ups in a declined position on a cement ramp.

That physical output effectively banished the ill-feeling I had been experiencing, and the rest of my walk was as usual.

Honestly, I do not quite understand how such became possible.

Anyway, I think that it was ... no, I now forget whether it was 4:04 or 4:06 a.m. once I was back home. Heck, maybe it was even 4:05 a.m.

I also do not recall just when it was that I got back to bed, but it was certainly after 5:30 a.m., and likely nearer to 6 a.m.

It was possibly a little past 8:40 a.m. when I rose for the morning, finding that the sky had clouded over. There was never to be any blue sky. In fact, at least three times today we have experienced brief rain showers.

When my younger brother turned the T.V. over to me shortly after 9 a.m. so that I could put our Android TV Box into operation, I led us off with a short (9:56) YouTube video uploaded to its NewsX channel two days ago: Trudeau Ignorant On Khalistan | Time To Hit Back.

My second choice was Odessa Orlewicz's latest from yesterday and which just exceeded an hour (1:03:41): UN To Declare PERMANENT Woldwide Covid Measures 2023! You MUST Fight Back Now With A Response.

The UN/WHO are at it again. They are of the opinion right now that if no one responds to their MP/Senate/Party Leaders that the general population is on board with this dystopian nightmare for the rich to get richer, and the rest of us to be treated like plebs in their bio-warfare vaccine games $$$. James explains who to email/send your letter to (In Canada it is your MP, NDP leader, Lib leader, Conservative leader , MLA) It will take you just 10 minutes but can change our children's future. The UN/WHO tried to hide what they want to do in their thousand page documents, but James found it, and is asking everyone to do their part NOW before it's too late. I know I will! We need #s folks. All of you.

Feel free to put this on high speed to get the details quickly. SHARE this with every awake person you know. The last petition we did thanks to James Roguski got a massive traction so was FORCED to be heard in Canadian parliament thanks to a Canadian MP.

It's also available on Rumble with the misspelled word removed from the title: UN To Declare PERMANENT Covid Measures 2023! You MUST Fight Back Now With A Response.

And I see that as is so often the case with Odessa, she never bothered to link to her guest's websites. This is so shabby and amateurish. She exhorts her viewers to take action, but does not link to anything to reveal how to manage to do that.

I am tired ─ it is well into my early evening, and I do not have the time to scour through the video for those websites. I want to have some supper ─ no beer this evening; and get to bed sensibly early so that I can rise at 1:30 a.m. to ready and have another walk.

Okay, I scanned the comments and did find one chap who provided a link: https://jamesroguski.substack.com/p/stop-the-global-agenda.

A third video that I tuned in barely exceeded 40 minutes (41:29), and was added to BitChute's Mercola channel September 6: The Health and Freedom Candidate - Interview with Robert F. Kennedy Jr.

In this video, Robert F. Kennedy Jr., discusses his presidential campaign, which has gained significant traction, despite censorship and the barriers set up by the Democratic National Committee (DNC).

We also discuss some of the issues he intends to tackle if he gets into the White House. By now, it’s clear that, as a country, we're facing a constitutional crisis. Elected officials are actively working to censor, silence and smear anyone who disagrees with them, including Kennedy.

I sure do like Bobby Kennedy! If I was American, he would get my vote.

Lastly, I finished our morning viewing with an episode of Inside No. 9 ─ this one was season six's episode five ("How Do You Plead?").

My brother then had some bed rest, and was to leave for the day early in the afternoon to socialize; he left before I had gone to bed for my by-then needed nap.

My wife ought to be home sometime tonight following her day working at the Thai restaurant where she is employed part-time, but I will most very likely be in bed by then.
