Remedy

Somehow I managed to get myself away last evening ─ it was maybe 9:10 p.m. ─ on a 5.625-mile round trip hike in my brand new Teva Geotrecca RP style 1129588 hiking boots.

I had needed to drink a can of the strong (8% alcohol) malt I imbibe, for otherwise I was vacillating, unable to quite motivate myself to undertake the trip. I had failed to allow myself sufficient time to lie down and rest following publication of yesterday's blog post.

I made the trip ─ my far-point destination was the Real Canadian Superstore outlet that I usually visit.

What do I have to say about the boots?

Well, they are definitely superior by far to the no-name hikers I recently acquired from AliExpress. The heel is actually serviceable, and allows me to impel myself off it when required. It has some bounce, in other words ─ the no-name boots have no particularly effective heel whatsoever, and are practically like walking on a flat-footed sole. I could probably jog a little in the Tevas ─ that is an impossibility in the no-name boots.

Even so, the Teva sole did feel like it was less supportive and sturdy than I want.

Something negative I noticed the first time I tried them on was that the topmost eyelet of each boot cannot be used because there is a deep recess in the top of the shoe tongue ─ a pronounced rounded dip that makes the top of the tongue look nearly like Mickey Mouse ears.

Why that matters is that the dip is exactly where the laces would get knotted if the topmost eyelet of a boot was used. So the knot would be across your sock, and not the shoe tongue.

This is ludicrous.

Consequently, only the second-from-the-top eyelet of both boots can be used.

Otherwise, the boots are okay, but they are not anything to rave about. I can use them, but I would not buy another pair.

I only used them on pavement, but for one pea-gravelled elementary school play field I short-cutted across. I have my doubts how comfortable they would prove hiking a true rugged mountain trail.

I am considering starting to set aside maybe $125 a month until I can afford exceptional boots ─ maybe a workboot / hiker cross. There are some pretty expensive heavyweight hikers out there that are far beyond my budget; but if I incrementally save up for that purpose, I could then make a purchase.

And by reputation, such boots truly endure! Ultimately, they should more than be worth the financial risk.

I had a few interesting encounters while returning home from the store with two reasonable loads of purchases, one load in each hand.

I will only speak of two of the encounters.

The very first was while walking a back road with forest on one side (my left), and homes along the other.

First off, I had noticed a coyote somewhat in the distance cross from the housed side that disappeared into the woods ─ just about precisely where I had intended to take a needed pee break, so I chose to delay having that until I was farther along.

Anyway, as I was walking, I suddenly had a greyish form come rather slowly swooping from behind and from my right that glided past me at an angle and landed at the edge of the forest where some small shrubbery was just a little ahead and to my left, the bit of shrubbery preventing me from seeing the obvious owl any further.

The owl had actually cross by in front of me at a distance of no more than six feet.

Overall I would suggest that its wingspread and body length might have been similar to a crow's. However, its wings were far fuller and much wider, if not actually longer. And its body was a massive rectangular block compared to any measly crow; and of course, that body was topped by a massive block of a head that might have been the size of three crow heads.

I no sooner got abreast of where it had landed than it lifted off and easily ascended up into some fairly low tree branches just ahead of me, and was again out of sight.

I wondered if the owl was semi-tame, and was scouting me out to see if I was friendly and might have a treat for it. I almost wondered if it might even decide to swoop down onto my shoulder.

I was somewhat prepared for that. But I was also aware that it might have an aggressive bent from where it was in the branches, and might well swoop down at my shaven bare head.

However, I basically passed almost directly below where it had roosted, and nothing further occurred.

Possibly it had originally seen something like a mouse that had moved at my approach, and the owl couldn't resist making the hit by swooping low and directly before me, and then lifted off with its catch into the branches.

Still, would not a mouse have done a little audible squeaking when first seized? I have no idea. Maybe it was dispatched so suddenly that it never had life long enough to make a sound.

Whatever the reason for this close encounter, it was almost a spiritual experience, and I felt grateful to have had it.

The second encounter I had was when I was walking a busy avenue. Ahead of me on a bench appeared to be a huddled shape that I felt could only be a homeless person or a junkie.

I soon saw that the person was bent right forward in the seated posture, as if fallen asleep. A recyclable shopping bag was beneath the bench and visible between the person's bared legs.

It was a woman in a dark hoodie, and wearing quite a short dark skirt.

A noise across the avenue brought her head up for a few seconds as she looked across, and then she dropped it back down. I was unsure if she noticed me approaching.

I walked softly past her and had continued on my way, but had second thoughts about departing her like that.

I turned about and came back, and softly asked, "Are you okay?"

She looked up and replied very softly, "Yes, I'm okay."

She then asked if I had a cigarette, but I do not smoke.

At that, she then resumed her former posture, so I continued my trek towards home.

She was definitely attractive, but did look a little bit rough ─ maybe she was into her middle years.

If I lived alone, I likely would have offered her a safe place to stay for the night if she required one. I even considered extending her $20, but that would not get her a place to stay, would it? It might only allow her to buy some dope if she was a user.

It seemed to me that the money was more likely to be abused than to be providing any sort of positive impact.

It was almost 11:30 p.m. by the time I was back home, and still my younger brother had not shown up. My wife had come home; she was in her bedroom, but when she became aware it was me who was home, she ventured forth and asked where I had been.

She was about set to call it a night because she intended to go to Burnaby's Thai Buddhist temple in the morning, which she did do today after doing considerable cooking before and into the mid-morning to take with her. I was later to figure out that it was her mother's birthday today, so my wife was going to the temple to make merit on behalf of her mother (who is over in Thailand).

After my wife and I bade each other goodnight, I went downstairs to round up a quick snack as my supper, and saw that even my two stepsons had evidently retired.

I ate upstairs here in my bedroom where I keep this computer, and was about to wash the soiled container and utensil I had used, when I realized that my brother was arriving outside.

Expecting that he would be in a wretched state, I repaired to my bedroom and shut the door. I have not the remotest doubt that he was heavily plastered. By this time it must have been at least 11:45 p.m., yet he soon had the T.V. on and was undoubtedly into a newly opened beer.

I avoided him and retired for the night.

I did get some good bouts of sleep, but by maybe 5:30 a.m. I found myself so awake that I rose and spent an hour or more here at my computer. I then returned to bed and managed some further sleep.

Upon eventually checking the time, I was most surprised to find that it was at least 9:20 a.m., so I hastily rose, expecting to find my brother already watching T.V.

But only my wife was downstairs ─ he had still not emerged from his bedroom. This was most unusual, for he was to be picking up his girlfriend Bev at 10 a.m. to drive her to work.

I suppose that it was nearing 9:40 a.m. by the time he made his meek appearance. And due to my wife busy in the kitchen, he had to deny himself a coffee, finally readying and leaving to collect Bev.

My wife had left before he was back, so he was then able to make use of the kitchen upon his return.

We were to watch a couple of videos of short duration, but I will only mention a longer one of 56 minutes that had been added to Rumble's Stew Peters Network back on July 26: LIVE: Stew Peters EXCLUSIVE: Groundbreaking Documentary "REMEDY" AIRS NOW & Reveals Vax TRUTH.

The Truth About Vaccines presents the docu-series, "Remedy".
In this film the clot shots are exposed from the inside out.
The bioengineered virus was used to suffocate freedoms and take away our free will.
Ty & Charlene Bollinger have made it their mission to BE the plan instead of waiting for one.
People are dying and we have a nation to save.
"Fear and Ignorance are the Problems; Knowledge and Hope is the Remedy"
The Truth About Vaccines presents “REMEDY” episode 1.
Learn about the rocky road to COVID and its origins.

There are supposed to be eight episodes in the series, but they do not appear yet to be on Rumble. In fact, I am unsure if this is the full episode #one, despite it being almost an hour long.

My brother sought some further bed rest following our morning T.V.; and I had just finished my day's first (and small) meal when my wife returned. I was having my nap when my brother rose and left for the day ─ I surely do not expect that he will be abusing himself as much as he did yesterday.

My wife did go out for a short time late in the afternoon, but has otherwise been home.

I intend to be getting up at 1:30 a.m. tonight to ready for one of my five-mile+ walks, so I will be getting to bed sensibly early this evening. It is already past 7:30 p.m., so I am calling it quits for this post.
