My younger brother was home by the time I left on an evening five-mile+ walk yesterday. I left then so that I would not to have to walk in the wee a.m. and could instead sit up late after I was back home.
I would have had some pull-ups and chin-ups at the elementary school playground three or four blocks from here, but the equipment was already frosted over and I had no desire to be walking with damp gloves.
I cannot recall that there was anything eventful about the walk itself, except that I had built up a desire to drink and watch another Christmas movie.
My brother was still up when I got back even though it was probably at least 1 a.m. And with my company, he never felt compelled to call it a night until around 2 a.m.
By then I had drunk another can of Cariboo Malt (8% alcohol), and had begun work on a shot of Kraken Black Spiced Rum (47% alcohol). So, determined to still watch a Christmas movie, I selected 2017's Christmas Festival of Ice, and had some supper before easing back into that shot of rum and then having another beer.
Despite having the Christmas lights on, the movie was more interesting and enjoyable, and not as emotional as I wanted. Nevertheless, lead actress Taylor Cole was very pleasant to watch, for her attractive face was most expressive.
I did not remember her, but evidently I recently watched her in 2016's Christmas in Homestead.
I would have loved to have seen far more of red-headed supporting actress Teagan Vincze ─ I found her to be pretty darned hot! Taylor Cole too much resembled a model ─ I prefer more robust gals with some muscle on their frame. Teagan also reminded me of red-headed Alice Wetterlund from the T.V. series Resident Alien, and I happen to like her a lot.
A decent online source for Christmas Festival of Ice is UpMovies. I would be willing to watch it again in good company.
Unfortunately, I probably did not get to bed until 4:30 a.m. Yet I was up by maybe 8:20 a.m. for the morning ritual of watching some videos with my brother as of 9 a.m. usually.
Yes, I was ill slept.
Both of us were surprised to rise and find the ground white with a blanket of snow, and more of it falling. It was later to become mainly rain and had largely washed away by the time I had my early afternoon nap, but at some point ─ probably after dark ─ the blanket of snow got renewed. It is early evening as I type this, so I have no idea what to expect later.
We were only to watch one video this morning, though. Listed as being over 2¼ hours long, the first 18 minutes were largely dead air, so I have bypassed that wasted space and linked to where there was actually something to both see and hear. The video was streamed two days ago to Rumble's What's Up Canada? channel: International Panel Discussion:.

My brother had to leave around 10:10 a.m. to go and pick up his girlfriend Bev two miles hence to drive her to work, so I suspended the video until his return. In the interim, I visited the backyard tool shed and had some exercise out there, including four and then two pull-ups in two sets; three and then two chin-ups in a second pair of sets; and two pull-ups between a pair of bars in each of a final pair of sets with the very last pull-up held for a 20-count.
Then I performed 13 slow full-range push-ups on the wooden floor.
My brother never had any bed rest today before heading away ahead of noon, so I don't know what shape he is going to be in when he returns later this evening.
I don't think I sought my nap any later than 1:30 p.m., and after some resistance to getting to sleep, I did have a nap that I roused from; but I still felt in need of more sleep, so I remained abed and successfully strove for another bout of sleep.
This time I could see that daylight was starting to fade ─ it was around 4:30 p.m.
I rose to find that my wife's bedroom door was closed, and there was some food in the fridge that she had clearly brought home. But as I type these words at 6:38 p.m., she has still not emerged from her bedroom.
My youngest stepson just came home after some apparent shopping, so I asked him and learned that it is both snowing and raining ─ his estimate was that 40% of the precipitation is rain, but the snow is "sticking". And it's of course quite cold.
I am going to break from this post and get in a relatively early evening walk so that I will not need to get to bed early for one in the wee a.m. To that end I will not yet publish this post, but I may find myself with no further time to add to it, so these may be my final words.
