Sins of the Father

If I am properly remembering, when I left last evening on my walk, the online check I made for the temperature hereabouts yielded -9.5 Celsius (14.9 F.), so it only got colder in all likelihood. But conditions are warming up today, for a 4:30 p.m. check yielded -0.4 Celsius (31.28 F.).

Unfortunately, I heard on the radio that later tomorrow we can expect the arrival of snow and rain to become our commonplace for a while.

I have limited footwear for truly sloppy conditions. And although milder temperatures will again open up the possibility of handling metal outdoors for pull-ups and chin-ups, if the rain is too severe I will be unable to dare the exposure to exercise.

I went out to the backyard tool shed in the latter morning today and had some nominal pull-ups and chin-ups. It was very cold, but I was able to bear it for the short time I needed to be able to grip the metal. But even the wooden floor was cold as I discovered when I performed 15 slow full-range push-ups afterwards.

Anyway, last evening after my walk, once my younger brother ─ who was definitely drunk ─ invited me to put our Android TV Box into play, I led us off with an episode of The Good Karma Hospital ─ he was particularly annoyingly loquacious throughout. And since this was the second episode of the final season four, I would have appreciated having been able to concentrate on the episode far better than he allowed.

I followed up with an episode of Yellowstone ─ this was a bloody episode, the season two finale ("Sins of the Father"). And again, my brother was often distracting. Only now in reading its write-up in Wikipedia do I understand the final scene where Kevin Costner's character was standing alone and weeping.

I had to wonder if either of the villainous Beck brothers had children? If not, one would think that in knowing that they and their line were about to become extinct, this might be especially painful for them quite beyond the act of dying.

We only watched some random YouTube fare thereafter, but my brother never finally called it a night and retired to his bedroom until possibly 2:40 a.m. Since I always have some clearing away to do at my computer before I get to bed, it was likely after 3 a.m. for me.

He used to call it a night after we got into the midnight hour, but for some reason in recent months he has begun to sit up exceptionally late with regularity. I am not too fussy about that.

This morning I got up just ahead of 8 a.m., and had access to the T.V. at 9 a.m. because my brother had failed to emerge from his bedroom by then to claim its use.

I was curious to watch a recent video of Dr. Joseph Mercola, so I had that all set to go on BitChute. At about an hour (1:03:22), my brother was not to be subjected to it for too dreadfully (for him) long, but he certainly did bitch at outset.

The video had been added on January 10: Optimizing Mitochondrial Function With Intermittent Hypoxia - Interview with Dr. Arkadi Prokopov.

Dr. Arkadi Prokopov, a Russian integrative medicine physician who specializes in hypoxic training and mitochondrial medicine. Optimizing your mitochondrial function is, of course, one of the most important strategies you can do to optimize your cellular energy, so it’s at the core of almost everything that you do to improve your health.

• Hypoxic training is successfully being used in the treatment of diseases such as asthma, high blood pressure, chronic inflammation and chronic infections, all of which are rooted in mitochondrial dysfunction.

• The scientific application of intermittent hypoxic treatment started in Russia in the late 1970s. Early research showed it was radioprotective. When you reduce the partial pressure of oxygen in tissues that are being radiated, there’s a significantly protective effect on healthy tissues. Tumors are not protected, however, because they're already hypoxic.

• Intermittent hypoxia takes place during embryonic development. Scientists now understand that this is a powerful mechanism that controls the quality of mitochondria.

• One of the mechanisms that helps explain the benefits of hypoxia is that it raises your carbon dioxide (CO2) level, which in turn increases oxygen circulation and uptake by your cells.

• One simple ways to stimulate your mitochondrial function through intermittent hypoxia is to intermittently hold your breath. In clinical practice, oxygen-depleted air is intermittently administered using an hypoxic generator. The latest models include biofeedback, and allow for all sorts of protocols to be administered.

I was hoping that it would be practically presented as to how people might be able to practice this therapy at home and outside of a clinic or using probably expensive equipment, but Dr. Mercola never went in that direction. As usual, he probably thinks that everyone is as clinic-happy as is he.

What does "intermittently hold your breath" actually mean in detail? Anytime we hold our breath, it is an intermittent experience, even if only done once a year. Anyone who holds his or her breath constantly would of course die.

So is it intended that we should be doing this throughout every day? Or in a single session of maybe a half dozen breath-holdings per day? Or does it even need to be done daily? An explanation sure would have been darned helpful.

As much as I appreciate Dr. Mercola, it is extremely annoying to me how he seldom looks directly at the camera. His eyes are directed constantly from one side to the other, as if he is deliberately evading eye contact with his guest or the viewers. Also, he just will not stop fussing, always rubbing or probing at some part of his face; and he used to be spending entire videos scratching one lower leg or the other. Is he unaware of these distracting habits?

Anyway, at the video's conclusion, my brother had to leave to (he thought) go and and pick up his girlfriend Bev two miles from here and drive her to work. However, it turned out that due to flooding at her workplace, she had the day off. So she had him run her about on two or three errands.

He barely made it back ahead of the noon hour.

Since he did not yet appear inclined to seek any bed rest, I played three further (much shorter) videos, leading off with two from Rumble's The People's Voice channel.

The first was nine minutes (9:10) and had been added yesterday: Oprah Facing Life Behind Bars On Child Sex Trafficking Charges.

Oprah Winfrey’s reputation has taken a hit due to her close friendships with numerous high-profile rapists and pedophiles, but she is about to lose a whole lot more, according to investigators who revealed the billionaire media tycoon is about to be thrown under the bus and prosecuted on child trafficking charges.

Oprah isn’t the only member of the VIP global elite facing charges. A whole host of household names, including Bill Gates, mainstream media figures, and members of the US House and Senate are currently sweating as the walls close in on them.

I chose the second video at 11 minutes (11:02) because my brother had never before heard the theory that Michelle Obama might be transsexual. The video had been added on January 11: Democrat Insider Warns Michelle Obama’s History As a Man Is Being Exposed.

Barack Obama has laid the groundwork to push Biden out and promote his wife Michelle Obama to the role of Democrat presidential nominee, as Biden’s disastrous 2024 re-election campaign continues to make dumpster fires look vital and compelling.

Things are so dire in the Biden camp that even the mainstream media has been forced to give their readers a glimpse of how bad things really are.

The Washington Post revealed that Obama has ordered Biden’s closest advisers to tell campaign aides they are allowed to “make decisions” and “move aggressively” without waiting for Biden’s approval.

That’s right, Barack Obama is now openly calling the shots on Biden’s reelection campaign. But should we really be surprised? The dark truth about Barack and Michelle has been hiding in plain sight for some time now.

He is strongly skeptical that she is not naturally female, as have been I.

The final video was 13½ minutes (13:28) and had been uploaded yesterday to YouTube's Redacted channel: "Hang on! Justin Trudeau is pushing UBI to save HIMSELF and bankrupt Canada | Redacted News".

Justin Trudeau seems to be trying everything he can do to stay in power, including offering money! The liberal government in Canada is rolling out a plan for Universal Basic Income. Is this part of the WEF's perfect dream? To have you  home, work remotely and receive UBI while they build out society to their whims? Canadian journalist David Krayden joins us to discuss.

Thereafter my brother was set for some bed rest. I had a substantial meal and intended a nap, but my youngest stepson ─ who was at his place of employment today ─ texted me at 12:22 p.m. to request that I sign for a DHL delivery he was expecting.

His older brother had a 12-hour dayshift today, so once my brother left, I would be here alone.

I waited until my brother left for the day, then around 1:30 p.m. I lay blindfolded in my bed with my bedroom door open, and did my best to relax into a nap. I was of course somewhat uneasy about that delivery, but I did achieve a bit of a nap, and rose a little past 3 p.m. feeling none too hale at all. My somewhat sore throat was more pronounced, as were my affected nasal passageways. I also felt that I might be somewhat feverish.

That delivery finally did happen at 4:30 p.m.

Today was my opportunity to get my laundry done, since both stepsons were absent. I did that while my brother was also away this morning. But today is also a bath day, so I am going to get that out of the way right now at 6:16 p.m. while I am still home alone and have full access to the bathroom.

oooooooooooooo

The bath rather drained me, so I had to lie down in my dark bedroom for possibly an hour, it would seem. At least one of my stepsons was home prior to the lie-down.

The plan now is to see if I can tackle another evening walk to free me up from having to deal with one in the wee a.m., but I feel tired and drained. For some reason a little drink is tempting, but I will hold off.

As usual, the planned walk will be five miles plus, so I am not at all keen for it. Supposedly ─ says an online check ─ it is about -6.1° Celsius (21.02 F.) out there.

Man, this is too much for an ailing 74-year-old!

It is 8:50 p.m. at present, so perhaps I will be on my way by 9 p.m., or surely very soon after.

Enough blogging for today.
