I want to record that late Saturday afternoon, just prior to evening and the completion of my Sabbath fast, I weighed in at 178 pounds at most.
Also, during last evening's walk, as I was proceeding along Fraser Highway after having crossed 140th Street and heading West in the direction of King George Boulevard, just in front of 7/Eleven / Petro Canada (Google Map), I had a close call with Charles "Stickman".
He was coming from the other direction and I did not realize his identity until it was too late. However, just as we were about to come face to face by the entranceway to those two businesses, some sudden traffic activity caused him to turn about and I was able to slip right past him without him recognizing me.
Charles is homeless as far as I know, and likely has a camp somewhere in Green Timbers Urban Forest Park ─ as does one or two other people I know of. I was anxious to get home and had no time to spend involved in a conversation with Charles, who is always reluctant to release me.
Following my later nighttime television with my younger brother, I suppose it was around 2 a.m. when I got to bed.
This morning I was to check the time and got up at what I thought was 8:48 a.m., but it was only 6:48 a.m. Even so, I remained up.
My brother did not emerge from his bedroom until after 8:30 a.m. (the true time).
When we got together just past 9 a.m. for some T.V. and he invited me to put our Android TV Box to use, I led us off with a short (6:49) video posted by Odessa Orlewicz yesterday, but which did not feature her: The WHO has MISSED The Deadline To Ammend The Pandemic Treaty. Please Watch This SHORT Video & Share With All Countries.
If they try to go through with it...it is illegal, unlawful and fraud.
It featured James Roguski.
I also tuned in an eight-minute (8:09) YouTube movie clip (The Weiner Scene | No Hard Feelings | CLIP) that is all the convincing I require for me to fully intend to soon watch the full movie.
I did not even realize that the incredibly hot blonde in the red dress was Jennifer Lawrence! How can she be so absolutely and fantastically beautiful and well-crafted anatomically?!
Then it was another YouTube video ─ 1¼ hours (1:15:08) ─ that had been uploaded to its Real Stories channel back on May 25, 2016: Siberian Explosion: Exploring the Tunguska Mystery | Real Stories Full-Length Documentary.
In June 1908, a massive explosion in a remote part of Siberia flattened the forest with the force of 1000 Hiroshima bombs. But the area was so remote and the times so turbulent, that no one attempted to find out what had happened for 20 years.
During this video my brother had to leave at 10:10 a.m. or so to pick up his girlfriend Bev and drive her to work, so I paused it until his return. Meantime, I had some exercise out in the backyard tool shed ─ primarily six sets of pull-ups and chin-ups.
I did not do well: four and then two pull-ups in the first two sets; three and then two chin-ups in the middle two sets; and two pull-ups between a pair of bars in the final two sets, but I did hold the final pull-up for a 20-count.
And then it was the 15 slow full-range push-ups on the wood floor.
Note that it is very mild of late. As I type these words at 5:10 p.m., supposedly hereabouts it is 11.9° Celsius (53.42° F.).
Anyway, after the documentary, the last item we watched was the premiere episode ("The Sofa") of the old British sitcom 15 Storeys High.
Let's just say that we hope the episodes do improve.
I had my day's first meal while my brother was having some bed rest before he left for the day to socialize. After he did leave, I had a short nap that did little to restore me.
I have no intention of sitting up late tonight, so I will retire relatively early this evening ─ how early will depend upon when my brother returns home. I plan a wee a.m. five-mile+ walk.
My monthly pension income was deposited today, so I quickly removed all but something like $99 from the joint chequing account with my wife so that she cannot access it. Now I have to somehow weather her importunes to help her out due to her ongoing financial folly.
I find myself in the mood for some drinking ─ I am feeling a little anxious. Consequently, I am going to break from this post and watch a Christmas movie ─ an emotional one, I hope.
I will conclude the post after I am done ─ or after I have had to prematurely shut it down if my brother should show up unexpectedly early.
I did watch a Christmas movie ─ 2017's Christmas in Mississippi.
Lead actress Jana Kramer was unknown to me ─ and I was to see that she was distinctly on the scrawny side; but that scene of her in a red dress was heart-stealing.
The movie was not quite what I most want in a Christmas movie. However, towards the end when the lights in the community were all lit up on Christmas Eve, the movie went to a whole new level for me and I was flowing the tears.
Of course, two cans of Cariboo Malt (8% alcohol) and a shot of Kraken Black Spiced Rum (47% alcohol) all helped ─ I actually felt more 'under the influence' than I expected from that quantity.
I was home alone throughout the movie. But if I lived alone ─ or could expect neither my brother nor wife to be coming home at some point tonight ─ I would have kept drinking. I had tuned in some random (via the SmartTube app that I have downloaded into our Android TV Box) YouTube music videos, and got smacked heavily with nostalgia.
My emotions earlier towards that climax in the movie were such that I achieved the pronouncement of why God has never assisted me in my life in any way I could recognize, and certainly not now in my 74th year: I am not worth the investment.
It's that simple, isn't it?
As for the Christmas movie, there are numerous online sources, but I will only cite this link at UpMovies.to because the site as yet does not seem to inflict the visitor with obtrusive advertisement popups and browser hijacks ─ most rare indeed.
Alas, maybe this will be short-lived and the website will also succumb to this crass exploitation.
It is already past 9 p.m., so I had best call it quits for today and be set to get to bed should my brother anon arrive home. I am going to set my cellphone alarm for 3 a.m.
