Angel Falls

Bedtime last night was just past 10 p.m. My cellphone alarm was set for 1:30 a.m., but I found myself awake enough in the midnight hour that I rose around 12:50 a.m. Only my youngest stepson was still up, but his older brother was not home and showed up a while later to occupy the dining table and watch videos on a laptop or other device.

As far as I know, I avoided notice by either of the lads.

An online check of the claimed temperature hereabouts netted 3.9° Celsius (39.02° F.), and I was to find it dry outside, although overcast, when I left for my five-mile+ walk.

When I was all set to leave, my fully clothed weight was at most 189 pounds. I felt fairly rested, and with no ill effects from my early evening's Christmas movie drinking.

I was on my way by 1:51 a.m., but after just a very short distance I discovered that I was missing a glove and I had to retrace my steps all the way back to my bedroom where I found the darned item laying on the floor and almost under the edge of my bed.

So did that add another couple of minutes to my time?

At the elementary school playground where I stopped for a half dozen sets of pull-ups and chin-ups, I found the equipment wet with condensation, so I wiped one of the jungle gym monkey bars dry.

Despite my lay off of exercise, I did unusually well ─ six and then two pull-ups in the first two sets; three and then two chin-ups in the middle two sets; and two pull-ups between two gymnastics-style rings in the final two sets, and I held the final pull-up for a 20-count.

Is it possible that I may have managed four chin-ups in the first set of those? I actually forget. Probably not, though.

And I finished up with 11 slow full-range push-ups in a declined position on a cement ramp.

I had no close encounters on my uneventful walk, and I was back home by 3:46 a.m.

During my walk, I had myself pretty much psyched up to watch a Christmas movie and having some beer after getting back home, but I honestly do not have the time despite my strong inclination to have a couple of beers.

I am fighting the urge ─ it is always hard on me when the Christmas / New Year's Eve period has ended.

Note that I am actually typing these words at 5:03 a.m., so I m going to behave now and get to bed. But Lord, I would love to down a beer right now!

oooooooooooooo

After some further sleep, I think that it was around 9:44 a.m. when I checked the time. I had returned to bed at 5:30 a.m. My younger brother was to leave around 10:10 a.m. to pick up his girlfriend Bev and drive her to work, so we waited until his return before I used our Android TV Box to play the video I wanted us to watch.

Meantime my wife rose, for she apparently had a full workday at the Thai restaurant where she is employed part-time. It opens at 11 a.m., so she left on her fairly long drive before my brother was back.

She has seemed withdrawn or subdued since coming home early into the latter afternoon yesterday. No doubt a lot of her demeanour has to do with the financial woes she has created for herself. I have already given her $250 since getting my monthly pension in the latter part of December ─ what with my own Christmas expenses, I am in no position to continue giving her money.

My brother gave me a $202.87 cheque yesterday as his monthly expenses reconciliation, and I will deposit that this evening ─ it will cover most of a nigh $210 life insurance payment that I expect will be debited from my account tomorrow. But at present I am having to deny myself purchase of a decent pair of boots. My two stepsons will probably be transferring me contributions towards the biweekly mortgage, but I have no idea when nor how much.

I will be receiving a small RRIF payment around mid-month ─ a quarterly payment that is always different and has been diminishing as my small personal retirement savings fund peters out. I think that once it exceeded $500 as a payment, but lately it has been well below $300. So I may have to wait and see just how much the payment is worth before I risk buying boots or any other clothes like Wrangler jeans.

My regular monthly pension is not directly deposited until the final few days of the month.

Just what did my brother and I watch this morning once he was back home from his errand for Bev?

Odessa Orlewicz's nearly 1½-hour (1:25:08) latest video from yesterday: Interview With US Air Force Major Tom Haviland- Shocking Worldwide Embalmer Survey Results Post Convid Vaccine.

Interview With US Air force Major Tom Haviland About Shocking WORLDWIDE Embalmer Surveys Results Post Covid Vax. Tom Haviland being extremely intelligent & curious about what he saw on the movie Died Suddenly wanted to find out if it was ACTUALLY true, so he started to research if this phenomenon was true or not himself. He not only did this in America and Canada...but worldwide. The answers he got back are statistically horrific for humans that submitted to the injections. He has the survey results from back then, and also a newer survey from more recently, as we get further and further away from those first 2 doses. Find out what anomalies embalmers are still seeing to date.

Once that video had concluded, my brother sought some bed rest. I gathered together my day's first meal and ate that here at my computer, and was to bed for a nap just past 1 p.m. where I was to remain for nearly 3½ hours. Of course, my brother was by then long gone to socialize for the day.

I had noticed before that nap that it had begun to lightly rain, and so it has continued from what I can tell here in the late afternoon ─ nothing hard, but still wetting enough.

My hankering for a Christmas movie and some beer can be denied no further now that dark is here, so I am going to break again from this post and light up some Christmas lights to best enhance the movie experience.

oooooooooooooo

Oh my gosh! What a movie choice!

I tuned in 2017's Christmas in Angel Falls. I recognized from the terse write-up that I would enjoy it ─ and I am somewhat familiar with Christmas movie actress Rachel Boston, but I never expected to be transported into the emotional dissolution that was in store for me during this movie's progression.

Rachel is not quite on the same scale of human 'beauty' as is her male co-star Paul Greene, but the slim girl is absolutely fetching and believably adorable. Her various mannerisms are to me irresistible.

Only my youngest stepson was home, but blessedly inhabiting the boys' den area throughout. In fact, he was so quiet at his computer that I was not even certain that he was home.

My tears flowed heavily over the course of this movie, and my nose ran dreadfully ─ my right sinus / nasal passageway is still congested.

This is definitely a movie that I will want to watch again in the future ─ especially with someone as emotionally vulnerable as am I.

Should you wish to dare the movie online, one excellent source is Hura!Movies. And if you have a decent ad blocker with your browser, you might try FreeMoviesWatch.cc. However, possibly RidoMovies is a slightly better choice.

Lordy, I'm a tad looped. I had a can of Cariboo Malt (8% alcohol), then a shot of Kraken Black Spiced Rum (47% alcohol). And I finished with another can of the malt.

I am going to ready and head on out on a decent walk, making that cheque deposit that I earlier spoke of. My ultimate destination ─ I hope ─ will be the Real Canadian Superstore that is a 5.625-mile round trip hike from here. This will free me up from having to tackle another early a.m. walk overnight.

It will be fairly late by the time I am back, so maybe I won't need more than a couple or so further beers with my brother while watching a show or two together. However, he can be surprising and want to sit up later than I might expect.

We shall see.

Enough for this post. It is already edging past 8:21 p.m.
